Shab is the best lawyer. I am a business owner and few years back, I was sued by an employee who died when he was behind a truck and the loading area. I got a WC claim and also got sued for $500,000. I had an attorney first who basically told me that it was hopeless. I am glad I did not give up and kept looking for a new lawyer. A friend of mine referred me to Shab. He took the case and started asking questions and looked into the case. He did not give up and found enough evidence that made my case better. The details and legalese aside, Shab settled the case for a fraction. Shab saved my business. If I had not changed to him, I would have been bankrupt. I am not sure how I would have survived. My husband and I hired Robert Hoyt, "Bob" as our attorney on a friends recommendation to handle an accident case which involved my seventeen year old daughter being run into by another vehicle. My daughter lost her car as it was totaled when it was struck by a large SUV driven by someone completely at fault. Thankfully, my daughter came out of the wreck ok, but with
some back pain and personal trauma. Of course the other driver's insurance tried to claim that my daughter was equally to blame which was completely false. Mr. Hoyt carefully reviewed all the facts, visited the accident site, interviewed witnesses and started a tedious battle involving both of the parties insurance companies which ultimately resulted in a settlement large enough to replace my daughter's car and allowed monetary compensation for her pain and suffering. Mr. Hoyt also handled ALL the health insurance, hospital and medical fees called upon as my daughter required chiropractic therapy, X-rays and the like to make sure she was completely well. He even policed my daughter's insurance company as they wrongly tried to claim parts of her settlement.
We can't thank "Bob" enough for his expert professionalism, his hard work and diligence, but most of all for his caring and personal attention to my daughter's well being. We will always be grateful to "Bob" and now call him a great friend of the family.

Working with Mr. Chahine was absolutley a great experience. Being that I own a business, I was very concerned about the impact a DUI would have on both my work and my personal life. After meeting with several attorney's i decided on using Mr. Chahine, and turned out to be the best decision could have made. Not only did he get my DUI dropped down to a wet reckless, but he also somehow had the courts not suspend my drivers license. Not even for a single day. I never had to miss a single day of work. I found Douglas Weitzman on Avvo related to my real estate dispute. Weeks after signing the P&S the buyers attempted to cancel the contract using the ‘inspection contingency’ as their stated basis—and wanted to back out—but I thought ‘changing their minds’ was not a valid reason to cancel the contract since I provided the buyers with a full disclosure—which described in detail all the current conditions of the property. The buyers commissioned their own inspection report—and the conditions identified in the buyers’ inspection report were the same conditions identified in my disclosure—revealing nothing new—as there were no repairs needed.
Despite this—the buyers exercised their 'inspection contingency' within the 10-day inspection period, during which time the buyer is allowed to have the property inspected to reveal any potential issues that could 'void' the contract. Despite the fact that there 'weren't any' new unsatisfactory conditions on the property—the 'inspection contingency' is obviously a scapegoat that buyers can use to back out of a deal.
Weitzman asked me if I issued a 'notice to perform'—a real estate tool designed to make buyers stick to agreed-upon deadlines that are defined in the real estate purchase agreement—issuing a notice typically gives the buyer 48 hours to remedy the situation at hand—if the buyer has still failed to comply with the agreed-upon action, ​the seller can keep the earnest money deposit in some cases.
Thus, we learn that the buyers have 'no obligation' to buy until they notify sellers that all contingencies are satisfied. Weitzman gave me a free consultation and in turn helped me define the 'notice to perform' and how to use it—which can be advantageous to both buyers and sellers in the California residential purchase agreement. In this case, I am not at the 'distinct advantage' of issuing the Notice to Perform.

Tal is by far the most thorough attorney I have ever dealt with. I have started other small businesses in the past, so I expected the standard procedure when Tal and his experienced team filed, created and reviewed our documents. Nothing standard about it at all!
