John is an excellent lawyer.
We hired him for a commercial litigation case.
He was extremely responsive, and accessible, but also thoughtful, ethical and competent.

I initially reached out to Matt for a landlord/tenant dispute via his website on a Sunday in 2016. Matt contacted me the same day and offered immediate assurance that I was protected under the law after being served an illegal eviction notice by my landlord. Never having been in this situation before, I was naturally frantic and Matt was there to help me keep my mind at ease every step of the way. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and while I continued to receive harrassing notices from my landlord, Matt continued to fight on my behalf and now the other other tenants in the building that were affected. After 10 months of exhausting work on all sides, Matt was able to deliver on the expected results and I was able to move out of my apartment with plenty of money to start over at a new place. I hired Alex Comely in 2013 to make an appearance at a hearing on a Demurrer. At the time, I was self represented, against CitiMortgage for damaging personal property. I had recently been released from the hospital, and was still relatively sick. I contacted Alex and he appeared on my behalf, and kept the case alive. He assisted me again in a mediation, and later responding to a MSJ and discovery. I am the analyst I am today because of Alex, I would have drowned in the paperwork, were it not for his providing assistance without taking my first born. I will never forget how disappointed I was when yelp hid my review of Alex, so I'm putting it here. I contacted and was introduced to Mr. Cohen through his firm after I was involved in a motorcycle accident. Unbeknownst to me until after the fact, my insurance had expired, which put me in a precarious position, even though the accident was in no way my fault. Mr. Cohen was patient and willing to work with me even though it was clear that my case was not a slam dunk. He personally went out of his way to walk me though the steps of settling my property damage claim even though there was no monetary profit for him. I am extremely grateful for his service, as the benefit of having professional and accurate legal advice in the situation I was in cannot be understated. With the help of Mr. Cohen’s legal advice, I was able to get properly and fairly reimbursed for the total loss of my motorcycle. Without his help I honestly don’t know if I would have been able to receive a fair offer for my damages. If you are looking for an attorney, I HIGHLY recommend Tony Stuart. I cannot say enough good things about Tony Stuart and his work and knowledge of the law. I hired Mr. Stuart a few years ago to take on a large insurance company that I wanted to sue for fraud, misrepresention, et cetera. Tony took on my case and I was so impressed with his work, his diligence, and the way he worked with me and explained things to me. He found out amazing things in his investigations and worked hard for me. We settled out of court and Tony got me $1.7 million!
If you want a good, competent, no-nonsense, no BS attorney, I suggest you call Mr Stuart, and I say this not only as his client, but as a court reporter. I have been a deposition/court reporter in this town for over 20 years and I can say without hesitation that Mr. Stuart is one of the better attorneys I have seen get the job done.
If I ever need an attorney again, I would most definitely call him again.

In the six year battle with my health insurance company over unpaid claims, I had no better ally than Tony Stuart. I was referred to Raul Gomez and Associates. In the fall of 2010. At that time I had been working on Irma’s immigration petition since January of 2006. We had already been to the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico three times and we had been denied the Visa on each of those three occasions. We had been working with another Los Angeles based attorney who after the first trip and negated attempt at the Visa, decided he no longer wanted to handle our case due to its low probability of success. We met with another immigration attorney who, after reviewing the existing case, told us that we had absolutely no chance of obtaining the visa; that the best we could do is to live our lives and in ten years or so to try again. It was at this point that I began making plans to move to Mexico to start a life with Irma in her country, where at least I would be welcome as an immigrant.
However, in a last ditch effort and as one might expect, with somewhat low expectations, I met with Mr. Gomez in December of 2010. After discussing our situation and his brief review of our case Mr. Gomez told me that he felt his firm could build a better case, one that should work and as he put it “after all, sooner or later they have to give her the Visa”. He was professional, courteous, personable and generous with his time. He gave us the first glimmer of hope we´d had since beginning the process in 2006 and it was all I needed. Later that night I called Irma, who was living in Tijuana, and I told her of the meeting. We both agreed that with this lawyer we had a chance.
Throughout 2011 and 2012 I visited the law office several times and worked with his staff in an effort to provide the necessary documentation and information to build the case. His staff was caring, professional and interested in our case and the difficulty of our situation. Over time I sensed that our efforts would be successful, which turned out to be an accurate premonition.
After two more visits to Ciudad Juarez in 2012, Irma was granted her Visa on 10/29/2012, and arrived at our house in Burbank on Halloween day 10/31/2012. I will never forget the feeling of joy, elation and relief I felt; nor the look on Irma’s face when she arrived that day. A seven year long effort had finally culminated in her obtaining her US Resident Visa and we were to embark on a new phase of our lives.
Irma and I owe a great deal of the life we now lead to Raul Gomez and his associates. Their dedication and hard work helped us immeasurably and I believe our lives would be very different today if not for them. We offer our sincere gratitude to Mr. Gomez and his entire firm, with a special thanks to Nora Garcia for being so kind and attentive.

Oliver and Sherwin did an amazing job with my case! I was hit by a truck while on my bicycle, I was even in a bike lane in Santa Monica. I was unfortunately got involved into a car accident. I wasn't planning on getting a lawyer but when the collision was blamed on me, i knew i needed one. I was impressed at how fast Rodney worked and got the cctv to prove i wasnt at fault. Also he gave me a direct contact so i could talk to him anytime of the day. Mr. Alves responded to Evvo questions I have inquired about WC case. Thru Evvo posting, I was able to email him and ask if I can send him WC case documents and concurrent DFEH related labor law cases.
I posted my email address so that he can contact me back via email. I sent inordinate amout of case documents via email and also thru Google drop down share drive he was kind to sent to me.
He spent reviewing all those documents over both days of Saturday and Sunday weekend and got back to me via email on Sunday afternoon that he will be taking my labor law case. I asked him to place on hold reviewin WC case for now.
He was very understanding of my urgency needs and was willing to take his valuable weekend rest time in reviewing my cases over the weekend. He was also kind to let me know ahead he will be calling me for contract paperwork Monday next day.

David Kestner sued a woman who defrauded me of $203,000 in a business deal in Los Angeles. We gotca bad judge trying the case but David persuaded the defendant Sonia Uwanawich to settle and pay us the maximim settlement that Judge Recana would allow, which was $89,000. New v. Rick Baum guided us through a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and we felt supported every step of the way. Our first consult was a year before we actually filed; we thought we could "do it on our own" and when that effort was obviously not yielding substantial inroads into our debt, we went back and started the official process. I was so nervous (and ashamed!) about it all, but Rick was both candid and supportive. Over the five years of the "plan," he responded quickly whenever we had a question or needed his help. He also has a great sense of humor! We are now finally done; though the filing was necessary more than desired, we are quite relieved it is over and that we had such reliable, efficient, and effective counsel. Rick Baum was excellent from start to finish of a 5-year bankruptcy; from helping us to fully appreciate the tradeoffs of this versus other courses of action, through the mechanics of the initial filing and intermittent formalities along the way, to the final close of the case with the Trustee. We could always count on Rick to provide a prompt reply to any inquiry we had, to produce all relevant paperwork in a timely fashion, and to remind us that this too shall pass. I will not hesitate to recommend a consultation with Mr. Baum to anyone who is/must contemplate a bankruptcy filing.

Ms. Qassim is a phenomenal attorney, I was facing 10+ years in federal prison, in the federal system cooperating with the government is a big thing and reduces sentences, which this is nothing that i would do. Ms. Qassim never once asked me to jeopardize my integrity to make her job easier ( Mad respect)!!! Once Ms Qassim knew that cooperating was not an option she prepared extremely creative motions and augured for for my freedom. I knew that it was going to be a very hard case and that jail time was emanate. Ms. Qassim spent hours with me going over discovery and showed passion and care! She was always available to speak with, returned calls immediately, very detailed, and made sure that i understood the whole process. During my sentencing she argued to get me the lowest of time on my plea agreement and she did it!!! I will say that she also never tried to just make me plea out, trial was always an option and she made sure that i knew the facts and she never comes sideways, always straight, nothing hidden. Ms Qassim is fierce, intelligent, creative, resourceful, and knows what she is doing. Thru Ms Qassim's hard work i ended up getting less than 4 years!!! I had a newborn that i would be able to actually be with him while he grows, thanks to Ms. Qassim. I know that there are fees for attorneys, I feel though deeply indebted to her because of how everything turned out. Also during my prison term Ms. Qassim checked in with me to make sure that i was being treated properly in the system and make sure i was staying in good spirits!! Ms. Qassim goes above and beyond, that is the truth!!! It would be not well researched to go any where else, Ms Qassim is the attorney you want!!!

I hired setara back in 2018 and was facing a minimum sentence of 10 year for trafficking marijuana along state lines in Florida . Setara was very comforting throughout the process and very knowledgeable and was able to have the case dismissed in trial . Let’s say she kicks ass in court . If you someone who calls you back immediately, without exception, and who knows what he is doing then hire Jeff! My ex was harassing me and our children. My previous lawyer said I just had to "deal with it" because there was not enough to go on. Jeff immediately got me a restraining order against my ex and then we got the custody order I wanted. He also got all of my fees paid for by my ex! I am not sure if this is how he always is but he was absolutely amazing for me in my case.

I was recommended to Jeff by a friend who had used him for their divorce as well as some other matters. He actually took the time to research everything and didn't just show up at court and wing it like me previous lawyer. In the end, he increased the amount of support I was previously awarded and got my fees paid for. He also gave me his direct line so I was able to contact him at any time. So I hired the lawyer Karen Suri this year for a modification of a restraining order/ visitation for my son. In this case I was the respondent for the case. Honestly, she was great, she answered all my questions in a timely manner and assisted me with those tough and private questions I had. Since this isn't my scope of practice I had a lot of questions :). She arrived promptly the day of the hearing and has kept me up to date with what is still left pending on my case. Working with Diana was a gift from God. I knew my divorce was going to be messy - our break-up was disastrous - but Diana was fabulous at mitigating the items and dividing it up so that we were both happy. Or perhaps satisfied is a better word - nothing about divorce is happy. Anyway, she was amazing. She knew just the right things to say and kept both of us in our chairs the whole process, which is quite a feat, I assure you. She has a very calming effect. I enjoyed working with her and she's good at what she does. Definitely the kind of woman you want on your side.

I appreciated how when my husband of 23 years and I were getting divorced, we didn't need to go through the courts and were able to settle our divorce without either of us paying a small fortune to lawyers and the courts to get everything straightened out.
I liked that they were there to help us reach a fair and reasonable settlement and that we didn't need to be at the coruthouse every week to get things settled. It was refreshing to be able to speak my mind about some of the things that I was looking for and I like that they stress peace in the process rather than what than taking everything a piece at a time. It's a more holistic approach to divorce that allows for some emotional healing along the way.
Though this is my second divorce, I wouldn't have aproached it any other way. Courts are too draining and being able to negotiate a fair divorce and settlement with mediation was a very good choice for us.
