My divorce has finally ended. Attorney Gersten’s representation, guidance, and ability to walk me through this process was top notch. I had a very contentious divorce, my ex tried to have me put in prison on false accusations. Attorney Gersten was right there on the phone with the detectives keepingme free. In the end we accomplished all my goals in the divorce and feel like the judge truly saw my side of events. Karen’s closing was a perfect summary of how I had been wronged by my wife and my love of my daughter, the other victim in this case. I nearly cried in court. Her staff has always been there to answer questions and give reassurance that my voice was going to be heard. I recently found myself in the middle of a "gray" divorce. 70 years old, married for 13 years to a woman that turned on me. I decided to represent myself in court, defending my pension, Social Security, health care, non marital assets, bank accounts and such. It didn't take long for me to realize I needed a professional consultation as her attorney's proposal was outrageous and would ruin me financially for the rest of my life.
Karen's name was highly recommended by a close friend. A quick email to her office and I scheduled a consultation.
I'm a good judge of people and immediately knew she was the person I wanted representing me. No nonsense or small talk. Straight to the point. Professional and knows the law. I knew she had my back.
Once the dust settled, I was able to keep 90% of what I worked my entire life for. To say I am happy with her service would be an understatement.
Regarding payment, her billing was straightforward and well documented. The entire process cost me much less than I expected.

Attorney Gersten is a top divorce attorney in the area. She did an amazing job and what seemed to be impossible to me a year ago. I went through a very difficult divorce. Before hiring attorney Gersten I interviewed 4 other attorneys and I am glad I chose Karen. She is very efficient and has fair charges and accounting of hours practice. Karen is very knowledgeable and well respected in the court. She always fights to protect interests of her clients, while open to settlement without unnecessary trials if her clients are satisfied with outcome. If presented with challenge, Karen is open to face it without hesitation and do research of precedents to be used in the court. Karen is always confident and has genuine care for her clients. She always comes to the court prepared and ready to protect your interests. Karen is working hard to make sure she provides high quality service. I wish I could give Karen more than 5 starts.

I can't recommend Attorney Richard Grabow highly enough! I finally have federal disability support (SSDI) because I contracted with him. I would not have been able to successfully navigate the disability appeals process without him and his assistant Melissa. It was very difficult to find someone to take my case, as I am considered very young for disability and because (as Attorney Grabow explained) the system is not really set up to assess people with my many complex, chronic conditions. After a lot of hard work and an extremely long time of searching, I found two others willing to take my case, but after in-person consults, it was no contest that I wanted to go with Grabow. He was obviously very busy so he had to be very direct and to the point about everything, but I appreciate the efficiency and candor. He looked at my work history and medical summary, and he laid out the difficulties of my application but the reasons why I could (and obviously should) qualify. He also explained more of an inside perspective on how the system works, expected wait times, etc. The other folks I considered hiring did not seem nearly as competent nor were they as thorough or candid about things.
Basically, how the office functions is that most communications are with his assistant Melissa and Richard directly communicates when needed. Melissa is friendly, helpful, and has more time for answering questions. Richard is understandably more rushed and some might perceive him as a bit gruff, but again, the efficiency, directness and high level of competence is what I prefer. (And, what works!)
For anyone starting the disability process, some other helpful info:
-Grabow operates on a common disability attorney method where you can contract with him and he does not receive payment unless you win your case. If you win, he is automatically paid a % from your backpay, with a cap. This was a godsend for me as, of course, I was destitute by the time I found him.
-Contracting with a lawyer is extremely important and helpful, but you still have to stay on top of everything that you can yourself. For example, I always take notes, and Grabow mentioned a certain type of paperwork early in the process. I brought it up with him further into the process ("I have X in my notes. Should we be doing that soon?") and his take seemed to be, "We don't need that right now. Let's not do work until we need to do work and have everything as current as possible." Luckily, I pressed him on it to give it to me the forms to get to my doctor...and then, surprisingly, my case processing got pushed up EARLIER than expected, we did need that paperwork, and we had it in the nick of time. All this is to say, I don't think I would have been approved without his work on my case, but you still need to be engaged in the process.
In sum, I am extremely glad and grateful that I used Richard and Melissa!! I was disabled for 10 years without support, and I am finally in the next chapter of my life because of their help. I can't thank them enough!!!

My case was complex and involved several appeals and hearings. If not for Attorney Grabow, the ALJ would have decided the case before ever hearing it. Attorney Grabow was able to show that the ALJ made errors and, after the case was remanded, WE WON!

This is my story, In 2016 I started my journey at nursing school at Stone Academy in the evening program. I encountered many delays during this time, I finally graduated in the year 2020 instead of 2019. I have been trying to pass my NCLEX from November 2020 until January 2024, I passed. I felt accomplished and all congrats were in order. I applied for a job went through the process but my license keep saying pending on DPH website.
I called the Board of Nursing and the person who answered the phone informed me that my license will not granted until they receive an updated transcript that I graduated from this institution as the one they have on file said withdrawn. The emotions were high when I heard these words my response was how could you have sent me ATT to write my boards for the past 3 years? The backlash was awful, detached and no empathy. She did refer me to call OHE ( Office of Higher Education) to find out if they have the transcript but they did not! Long story short….OHE put me on a list to request an official transcript from Stone Academy, this school stop existing in 2022 and currently have lawsuits.
I decided to higher a Lawyer, I called Keily Mira Law Firm and was connected to Jon. I went in the office, I explained my case but he never had a case like mine. He got the understanding and decided to take my case, he was also hitting close doors! I gave him all the information for him to work with, when I thought getting a Lawyer would perform a miracle, I felt frustrated and overwhelmed. Jon reminded me that he is working on my behalf and he is my ADVOCATE, I would have to be patient because it wasn’t an easy task.
OHE placed my name on a list to receive my official transcript, even though a copy was sent wouldn’t be enough, on 2/20/2024. I emailed OHE 2 weeks ago to find out if there were any updates the person responded to me yesterday 4/18/2024 “as of right now there hasn’t been any updates and I have escalated your case”. I forgot to forward this email to Jon yesterday, I was rushing to work. While I was at work yesterday my phone rang and I saw that the call was coming from Jon’s Office.
He was excited too, He said your license is in your inbox, I was thinking this is too good to be true but he kept saying it. I started crying on the phone, He insist I check and so I did. I couldn’t see from my eyes being filled with tears. I said where is it coming from and he told me and I saw it! Awwwwh what a relief Jon has been working behind the scenes while I was being patient, Jon was definitely my advocate! I am forever grateful, I am now moving forward with my life to make a better living for myself and my family. I cannot thank you enough! You didn’t turn me away. Thank you! Thank you!

Twenty-two years ago I received a notice from a lawyer representing a vendor over a relatively small bill that I firmly felt was bogus. Went to my lawyer and he agreed the claim was weak at best and would likely be voided if the vendor/lawyer pursued the claim. My lawyer then recognized who the notice was from - Kerry M. Wisser. At that point he indicated it might well be better to just pay the bill rather than go up against Mr. Wisser. Being quite stubborn and armed with solid facts I excused my lawyer and would handle this claim myself. I contacted Mr. Wisser and over a period of a month spoke to him no less than a handful of times. Mr. Wisser's advocacy for his client was creative and unbending, to the point he made me feel I in fact owed the contested amount. Not being able to convince Mr. Wisser to drop the claim I attempted to negotiate and settle it, that didn't work either. Finally, I agreed to pay the entire amount under one condition - Mr. Wisser would meet for lunch and pick up the tab. Paying that bogus bill was the best money I have ever spent. From that luncheon to this day Mr. Wisser has represented me exclusively in all ligation matters both offensively and defensively with great success. I recommend few people because of the obvious responsibility for such a recommendation. However, I have easily recommended Mr. Wisser to at least a couple of dozen individuals who have utilized his services over the years and I have never heard anything but glowing thank you's. If your looking for a lawyer that is as comfortable in a courtroom as he is at a ball game, he's your man. Kerry M. Wisser is in a class by himself!

I am in the type of business where litigation does come up at times, and I have found Kerry Wisser to be a super lawyer in the affairs that he has managed for me. He has accomplished things involving cases that I have been involved with that I know other lawyers just wouldn't have been able to do. I have found that nobody can pull the wool over Kerry's eyes. He knows the law in and out and he knows how to apply it in the best way possible to protect and / or promote his client. There can be a lot laying on the line with any case. And there are many lawyers out there to choose from. However, just getting a lawyer for the sake of having a lawyer is not the way to handle it. I have found that if I really want to give my self the best possible chance of winning, it's not just any lawyer that can make a difference but what lawyer. So when I have a case come up, I know that hiring Kerry will put me in the best and strongest possible position to achieve a favorable out come to my case.

Divorce is never an easy part of life to balance. Started off without a lawyer and having my back pinned against the wall. Attorney Nath came highly recommended. They were not wrong! All it took was a couple of minutes to brief Attorney Nath on what was going on. The weight that was lifted was just night and day of a difference! I did not deal directly with Brook Goff, but did with her firm. I had a couple of lawyers, and they didn't work out. The one that did was Tiffany Sabato. She was stellar! Called me with information, called if she needed more information, kept me up to date on what was going on. I live out of state, but my accident took place in CT. It was reassuring to know that someone was watching out for me.

Set expectations from day one as the process can be cumbersome as the time lines can range depending on which officer is assigned to our case. Checking in to let us know timelines as they changed as to manage expectations.
EXTREMELY knowledgeable, as a client I was always confident that she knew the answer with anything I threw her way from various types of topics.
Professional candor from the moment we meet her, polite, well spoken and always made us feel like her #1 priority.

Lillian Miller was recommended by a friend to do estate planning for me. She did a great job. She met with me and my two children, where we discussed our situation and our needs. She listened very well, and took the time to understand us. She asked many questions, so she could get a clearer picture of what I would like to accomplish and avoid in the event of my death or incapacitation.
She spent a great deal of time explaining to us what our options were, and what advantages or disadvantages there would be depending on the choices that were made.
She was prompt in returning phone calls or emails. Her fees were reasonable.

Where to begin, because I didn't when I got arrested and falsely charged with a dui. I called a couple other lawyers and firms and didn't have any good feelings about who I talked to, felt like they just wanted my money. Tamar gave me excellent advise and made me have no worries proceeding forward with her representation. We went to several hearings with the outcome still wanting to charge me with my crimes, but Tamar took no for an answer she knew something wasn't right with how everything went down that night for me. After a few months and a couple hearings later my case we dropped and only a small fine was acquitted towards me, she saved my future this is something that could of greatly affected me and ruined my life in many ways. From the moment I consulted with Tamar I knew she was on her game and the lawyer for me. The night after I hired her she contacted me and had already been in touch with the PD and DMV for my case. Attorney Jennifer Rossi recently represented me in an issue that had me at odds with the State of Ct Health Dept. The State either wanted me to fix a “problem” with a job I performed many years ago or hand them my license to do business in Ct. Atty.
