They had my email , his email, my number , his number , including our home address and we’d call for updates and they’d always say everything is going great if they needed anything they’d call us. After a year they dropped our case for “no communication”. And then told us they had the wrong number on file. Now we’re struggling to fight a car accident case because of how long it has been.

I retained Tom to draft my will and set up a living trust, and he was always prepared, and provided strong counsel, which I think made the process quite easy. I then retained him to help me work through an unrelated beneficiary matter where we had little information to go on. I can not say enough about the impact Pamela has had on our family. We are foster parents who wanted very badly to adopt the little girl we have been fostering for nearly two years. Despite being the only family she has known, DCFS was determined to place her with distant relatives with whom our daughter had never met. We had navigated the system as best we could but it was clear we needed a professional to advocate on our family’s behalf.
Pamela came highly recommended and with good reason. From our first conversation she put us at ease with her frankness and obvious knowledge of her craft. I hired Ms. Tripp and she rarely communicates, and went into court, made an agreement without my consent. Then, at a later court date that I was unaware of, she emails me at midnight the day of court indicating we have court - but provides no zoom call in numbers, or phone numbers, so I cannot be a part of the hearing. Case closes without me.

I came to work with Attorney Eric Schweitzer through a referral from another firm in Fresno. The nature of my case, in other Attorney's opinions was not only unwinnable, but many barely looked at the documents or assumed there was a particular statute (1203.4 - which does not restore firearms possession) in play and therefore declined to even look into the matter for me stating my firearm's rights would only be reinstated with a pardon. Obviously, I disagreed. Please note, I have been fighting this issue with the CADOJ and the FBI since 2019 when I was originally denied a firearm purchase. The original dismissal dates back to 1997.
When I contacted Eric, he requested copies of all of my documents, scheduled a zoom call (I live in MI) to review everything and talk with me. On our call, which by the way, he took time to do on a Saturday because of my work schedule and three-hour time difference; something I appreciated immensely. Within five minutes of reviewing my documents, he realized (with a rather excited exclamation) this was a PC1385 dismissal. Eric had stated that this would be an easy fix (and the fee to handle this was more than reasonable. I was expecting it to be more than what was stated. BONUS). Eric stated that all that was needed was to file a motion to correct the original dismissal (the original clerk didn't mark the box "dismissed in the furtherance of justice") in 1997 to reflect it was dismissed pursuant to PC1385 (which restores all firearms rights). While my presence in CA was not needed, I chose to go and be present for the hearing. On the court date, Eric and I met at the courthouse, chatted about the case and what to expect. Eric's confidence, knowledge of the law, and explanation of his relationship with the court presiding Judge was very reassuring, especially with the angst I was experiencing at the time. Our case was called, a couple of minutes of conversation with the Judge to make sure we were all on the same page, then my motion was granted. Furthermore, due to the nature of the motion written by Eric, the Judge not only stated that all of my civil rights were fully restored, he went one step further and said this includes the right to own and possess firearms, effective **-**-1997, the date of the original dismissal. A thousand pound weight instantly fell off. Moreover, a sense of elation and respect for the Judge was experienced when he made it clear all civil rights were restored. This was again due because of the motion that was drafted by Eric. I was highly impressed with how thorough and concise the motion was when I received a copy.
Eric is an Attorney who epitomizes walking softly and carrying a big stick. He knows what he is doing and is obviously very good at what he does. Eric is forthright, plays no games, nor engages in any deception. He's matter of fact, confident, as noted, and, very thorough, also as noted.
I cannot begin to close without mentioning Eric's staff, Angel and Laticia. What incredible women they are. They are the heroes in the background that make everything run like a well-oiled machine. Angel and Laticia were not only very helpful with any questions I had, they were also very understanding of the angst and anxiety I was experiencing throughout this process. Their responses to emails and or returning of phone calls was much faster and much more thorough than expected. Thank you, ladies.
So, in closing, whatever legal issue you may be experiencing, especially civil rights restoration, Eric and his team will take exceptional care of you.

GREAT ATTORNEY !!!! I had a case that hasn't been in the courts too often. My daughter would not let me see my grandchildren, so I had to file a suit against her to get visitation. I went to one attorney before I engaged Mr. Hayes. The first attorney didn't seem too knowledgeable and I am so happy I found Donald. This was really an uphill battle because the few cases that there were didn't always have successful endings. Donald had a thorough knowledge of the different courts and which judges would be sympathetic to our case. We change court houses to get the right judge and we won our case.
