Atty Joseph Jung was most efficient and effective in resolving my collision case. His most favorable attributes are that you actually hear from him even after working hours (5pm) . He cares and listens. This is most evident when you have unanswered questions or concerns. Least favorable: When a settlement is made would it be possible to receive direct deposit so as not to have funds lost through the mail (did not happen in my experience).

I was the driver of a motor vehicle, on August 6, 2006, stopped due to traffic on southbound I-5 in Los Angeles, when struck from the rear by an uninsured vehicle driven by a person with a suspended drivers license.
The damage to my vehicle was $4,535.68, including, but not limited to replacement of the exhaust system, rear body panel, rear bumper reinforcement, rear bumper cover, rear bumper lower energy absorber and rear bumper upper energy absorber, and repair of the left quarter panel, right quarter panel, left quarter panel extension, right quarter panel extension and rear floor, and requiring repair from August 16, 2006 through September 14, 2006. The damage to the other vehicle was total.
I injured my neck and right shoulder, requiring four neck surgeries and three shoulder surgeries. The third neck surgery resulted in permanent right vocal cord paralysis requiring two vocal cord surgeries, which were unsuccessful.
My insurance carrier, since 1990, was the third largest property and casualty insurer in the United States, and my coverage was $1 million for uninsured motorist bodily injury.
My insurance carrier refused my repeated demands that they pay me my policy limit, claimed that only my first two neck surgeries were related to the accident, my three right shoulder surgeries were unrelated to the accident, my last two neck surgeries were unrelated to the accident, and since the third neck surgery was unrelated to the accident, the permanent right vocal cord paralysis and two vocal cord surgeries were unrelated to the accident. They delivered a check to me for $750,000.00, which they referred to as an advance, and through their attorney demanded arbitration.
My brother, who is in the insurance industry, referred me to Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, because John. Carpenter was successful in trying a case against his company to a jury verdict of $483,524.21, when the policy limit was only $100,000.00, and the company paid the $483,524.21 because it had exposed its insured to personal liability.
I spoke with Paul Zuckerman over the telephone, and he arranged to have me transported to his office along with all of my files. I met Mr. Zuckerman, Mr. Carpenter, and an associate named Robert Ounjian.
Robert Ounjian, who was promoted to partner, and for good reason, arbitrated my claim at Judicate West on April 30, 2013 and May 1, 2013, and the binding arbitration award was faxed on May 20, 2013. The arbitrator awarded me the remaining $250,000.00 uninsured motorist coverage. Robert was also able to get my former insurance carrier to reimburse me costs in the amount of $14,759.30.

My divorce is about complete. Kim did an excellent job. I appreciate her honest, logical and discerning approach to my case. She is able to stick to the facts and not get caught up in the courtroom drama that was created by my x and his lawyers. She is one of the most intelligent people that I have ever met. She is professional and hardworking. She almost always took my late night and weekend calls. I felt that her billing was very fair. Her memory is incredible and she was easily able to keep track the lies that my x and his lawyer fabricated and provide this feedback to the multiple judges that heard our case. We have referred Rob to many people over the years. He is honest as lawyers come. A year after one of our claims had been settled, we received a check for over $1000 from Rob. When we questioned it, Rob told us he found it in his trust account and when he tracked it, it turns out it was money my health insurance company refused for reimbursement for my injuries. Rob felt it rightly belonged to me. I would have never known about this money and he could have just as easily absorbed it. My extended family and friends have used him several times over the past 20 years and, given a choice, I wouldn't use any other lawyer for personal injury.

2 people who politely introduced themselves as the "New owners" of the building in which we lived later served everyone in our apartment with Unlawful Detainers & Eviction Notices although we had a lease with owner who too lived in the same building as all of us.
With ownership of building being disputed in court, still being threatened with Unlawful detainers and eviction, Scott advised us to continue to pay our rent in a timely manner to the "new owners".
Although another tenant & I had the exact same case, we chose Scott, our neighbor did not.
The "new owners" suddenly and without any forewarning changed their lawyer and ask us to pay all the back rent in one lump sum. No explanation even though past checks would still be honored.
Scott advised us to comply, our neighbor's attorney advised otherwise.
The end result, we were finally recognized as tenants whereas our neighbor still faced many legal challenges to come. (big mistake on his part)
Now that almost a year of harassing behavior on the part of the "new owners", was finally put to rest, the terms of the lease stated that the losing party would pay for the legal fees.
Our case was heard before a judge and at first, we lost.
With facts in hand, Scott knew it wasn't right so we appealed and had the initial judgment overturned in our favor.
From this past experience, lessons learned are that not all attorneys behave the same. Initially, some are like cheer leaders who are full of energy and give clients high expectations. As time goes by, many of those same lawyers either become "too busy" or lose touch with their clients.
Scott is not one of them. He is what you would call a truly "down to earth" type of person who is easy to talk with and to his clients, always readily available.
