I called them to schedule the free 15 minute phone consultation… I let it be known that I was calling on behalf of my mother because there’s a slight language barrier and the receptionist (or whoever he was) informed me that they don’t take clients who can’t speak the language even if I am here to assist. Which I find very weird and off-putting, especially in this day and age, because it has never been an issue any other place!! He then proceeds to give me the number of another attorney located in Kissimmee and said that’s where they refer people to (people with language barriers I suppose?? Or people they just don’t want to take on as clients for whatever odd reasoning they have).

I was very pleased with the work of Mr. Panter in handling my case. From the very beginning, he sat down with me and explained the case to me, and how the judicial system works. He explained to me all the legal fees involved, his expenses, and the expected costs to carry out my case. There was total transparency on his firm. Mr. Panter explained to me the case, made sure understood all the issues, before obtaining consent to proceed with the case. He educated me on his education, training and experience, and his experience in treating cases similar to mine. He was easily available, and would return calls promptly, if he was busy. Mr. Panter advised me on the confidentiality of the case, behavior such as posting on social media that could be detrimental to the case. Mr. Panter's office handled my case from beginning to end. and I was very pleased with his office staff. He always kept me informed on how the various legal expenses would be paid. I was fortunate enough to have found Sheba to represent me after being hit at a toll booth last year. She and her team were caring, communicative, helpful in handling all of the insurance interactions, and able to negotiate significantly better physician bills than I had expected. Sheba made herself available any time I had questions or concerns, and during a period she needed to be out of office, her staff remained in contact to ensure I never felt forgotten about. You could not find a better advocate in the Fort Myers area if you are involved in an accident or injury case.

This firm did not go the distance. Do not and would never recommend this firm to do your case justice. First off be mindful of the name Porter Law “Firm.” Porter NEVER worked the case. We had no communication with Porter EVER. Even when requested that he take over the case because we didn’t feel that the case was being handled aggressively as we were promised when hired. Initially we had hope. Thatcher was on the case and he was always prompt, he showed up and answered questions, and he was confident. Then it all changed. First, the state attorney was reassigned from the case then Thatcher left the firm and the case was reassigned to Abuetello. Always late, it got to the point where we just asked when will you be there so we don’t have to wait for all the other cases, uncertain and never forthcoming with answers to questions and had to start over with the case because she was newly assigned in place of Thatcher. We brought up the request to try for entrapment only to be told “ that’s too hard of an angle.” A couple of depositions later, requests for more money and finally we could talk negotiations only the negotiations were null. Usually at the trial point you would think a couple of offers would be extended, no. We got 1 offer. Then Abuetello tells us she is leaving the firm and the state attorney is new to the case and it’s this offer or risking it to go to trial. What other option is there. We felt rushed and without options.Now we have a sentence of prison time… A paid lawyer got us what a public defender could have. Later received closing documents and additional requests for more money. Highly disappointed in this firm and would NEVER recommend.

Jennifer placed me in the best job I’ve ever had. My worst day at my current job is 100 times better than the best day at my last job. His website makes the misrepresentation that it is a free evaluation which makes people believe an attorney will be evaluating the case. They charged me $150 for a telephone consultation but claimed it was for a telephone evaluation (Misleading. I never received a valuation I only gave info. and schedule the telephone consult). Then the attorney Joseph told me that he would refund any unused retainer funds during the telephone conversation but when I got the retainer agreement, it stated NON-REFUNDABLE retainer of $12,000+ and that the money was earned upon receipt. When I asked him to remove the NON-REFUNDABLE term from the retainer, he refused and declined to represent me. It is my opinion from my initial dealings with him that he was not honest with me. And that he and his firm are very much aware that people are being misled to believe the term "schedule your free evaluation" is a "free consultation" by an attorney but they play on those words to get people to call the firm then they do a BAIT-N-SWITCH. Response to Reply Below I appreciate the immediate response. But the reply does not negate the true facts above. Nevertheless, as of today Oct. 13, 2023, I did NOT receive a refund of my $4,850.00 the reply claims was refunded.

Ms. Shea Fugate is the absolute best. I was really struggling with applying for my SSDI. I was lucky enough to be given her name from a lawyer friend of mine. She got back to me super fast after I called her office. She is so friendly and spoke to me with genuine concern and in a way that I easily understood what was going to happen. Any time I had a question, she was available. Not surprisingly, the dealing with the government took a while. But she saw it through and got my benefits for me. Would absolutely highly recommend.

We were victims of hurricane Ian. Our property insurance was with Slide Insurance. Their initial field adjuster was terrific and agreed that the roof needed replacement and the lanai screens repaired. Slide then sent 2 other field adjusters out to refute original adjuster claims and said damage was caused by poor maintenance by us. Well, enter Mike who guided us to a successful claim allowing us to replace the roof and other needed repairs. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable about how insurance companies operate. I would give this law form 0 stars however -1 is the lowest , but here is my review Harris hung on me - a disabled veteran - when trying to receive my deed. His staff told me they were not obligated to give me the paper. After I called back Harris, calling me “bro” said he mailed it and fulfilled his obligation. Zero attention to detail, very little professionalism and in the end no resolution was established because he was too busy “bro’n” me. Please if your a veteran do not use this firm. I am a veteran from The 82nd 2/504 and the professionalism shown my Harris and his staff is a NO-GO - I even explained that I need the deed to submit my packet for a grant modifying my home to aid my disability. he laughed when I told him I would be leaving a review.

I have been represented by Attorney Alfant twice in my life, in two different heart wrenching situations. My first experience with him was in 2016 and 2017 at which time I was going through the process of a divorce and being the petitioner of an injunction and my second experience was in 2023 when dealing with an injunction following the death of my fiancé. Both times that I was represented by him he went above and beyond to ensure my well-being in the well-being of my family and others involved in each case. His ability to act on the spot and his intelligence are unmatched. He never wavered once during either process, and his confidence in both himself and me which gave me confidence to know that everything is going to be okay. I never had to worry about whether or not the right thing would happen because of the incredible attorney that he has. He was able to cite things such as caselaw and statutes off the top of his head when needed even at times when something happened or was said that we had not planned on. Both he and his assistant Amanda took as much time needed to ensure that I was comfortable with everything going on, and that I was made of everything that I would need to know during this process. They spent as much time needed to ensure that I felt comfortable, even if that meant taking away time from their personal lives. The compassion and empathy that they show that they truly care for their clients, and even the other parties that may be involved in a case. So often we run into professionals that get caught up in a world of making money, and forget why it is that they began to practice law that this is certainly not the case for attorney, Alfant or Amanda. They are both out to ensure that the best outcome happens that will benefit the well-being of the parties involved. I honestly do not know what how my life forever ended up if not for Attorney Alfant. He even went as far as to remain in contact with me after my case was completed, and when the need for his services came up again, he wasted no time in coming to my aid. He is truly meant to be an attorney and not just an attorney, but one of the best attorneys that could ever exist. His ability to be passionate about what he does for remaining professional is not an ability that is seen often. When it comes to the reputation of attorneys, or just a person in general, there is no debate in my mind that he is one of the best. All of the situations that I was involved in during the times that I worked with him or situations that I would have preferred to have never been in one prefer to never be in again, I’m honestly glad to have been able to be represented by a person as amazing as Attorney Alfant. My family and I were involved in a somewhat horrid case with my wife's ex. Mr. Jamieson and his staff were simply outstanding. They were honest, realistic, and always had the ability to calm our nerves when they were most frazzled. There was simply nothing that they were not forthcoming about. Moreover, they always provided us all of the information that we needed in the most timely manner imaginable. Their service was first class. Because we were out-of-town clients, they were willing to work with us over phone and on weekends when we could get into town. He suggested expert witnesses that truly helped our case. He also cared about the welfare of our child above all else. He also respected us, our opinions, and our needs. This was a non-traditional case, so his expertise was absolutely essential. He understood the need of our daughter, developmentally and otherwise. He also understood how to build a very complex case that demonstrated that justice was on our side. Rather than reducing a complex case to the "standard," he and his staff fought hard for us. Here is the best part: We won everything. His knowledge of case law, use of experts, and professionalism far exceeded that of opposing council. The truth of the matter is that he was simply better prepared and that the cost of that was worth the quality. He provided us with advice that we did not necessarily like and asked us to spend money on the places that were worth it. And the results were worth it! Really nice to have an honest, results-oriented attorney who treated our problem with the seriousness that it deserves! We will continue to use him and HIGHLY recommend him and his practice. His ability to demonstrate that an unconventional case deserved an unconventional judgement truly sold me (and the judge) on the quality of his practice. He has impacted our lives so much to the positive, I'd give him 6 stars if I could. Thank you!!!!!

We were so naive when we first entered the legal system. Fortunately Charlie knows what he is doing. He understands how things really work in the judicial system. I hired Cynthia Hernandez for my child paternity case, and she was never available. She was never on top of things. I would have to remind her of everything. She got an attitude with me because I told her things needed to be done asap not months later. Wanted a lot more money than when I first was hiring her.
