Updated review. I cannot stress to anybody reading this enough: who you hire matters and you get what you pay for. Attorney’s have case after case slide across their desk. It’s a job at the end of the day to most. If Aaron Shapiro or the force that is Amanda Schaffer takes your case, TRUST THEM. Full disclosure: I am a nightmare client. On a scale from 1-10, I’m an 11 in terms of annoying. My son is my absolute world. I have been a “white pony” more times than you can imagine. Over-billed. None of it made sense. Those attorneys cared about a paycheck. Aaron and Amanda are not only EXCELLENT attorneys, they’re good people. They have a backbone. Their time is valuable. They’re not cheap. Know that. I had an unfortunate event happen in my life were the police were called and ultimately had an order of protection called an E.R.P.O put against myself. Never being in trouble with the law I was nervous. I was refereed to Jason Bassett. I am so glad I decided to work with him as the police officer told the story of what happen in such a mixed up way Jason Bassett was able to prove my innocence and also further more proved the officer didn’t know the facts he was speaking on. Throughout the entire time working with Jason Bassett he calmed my nerves and kept in contact personally with me. This was the best outcome I could have wanted thanks to my lawyer Jason Bassett.

I can’t say Thank You enough to this law firm and Eric Winnert! We live approximately 5 hours from the office and Eric came to our home to get the much needed paperwork signed by my very ill spouse for a mesothelioma law suit. Poor man had to drive through the snow belt in February just to make sure we got what was needed before anything happened. Whenever I have questions and need to contact him, he is always there to give me answers. He has walked me step by step through every part of the process as my spouse was terminal and passed. Even when I haven’t bothered him in awhile, he will shoot me a text with any needed updates on our case! He’s very caring, empathetic , and personable with his clients and their family! No matter what we threw at him he always had a smile and a chuckle while maintaining his professionalism! Not sure why, but right from the start Beth seem annoyed and unwilling to listen to the specifics of
my divorce. She suggested that I move out because abandonment doesn’t exist anymore and that I should start preparing for a huge child support payment that is inevitable and mandatory, and that my prenuptial agreement was worthless and unenforceable after 6 years of marriage. She told me that regardless of the circumstances my ex-wife will get custody and to prepare myself for that. She certainly didn’t feel like she was helping me, more like she was trying to do a little as possible to get through the case, or even make it easier for my ex to get the judgements she wants. 3 other lawyers told me very different things in their consultations. I hired a different lawyer.

I wish there was a 6th star to add to this review for Mr. Peter Groffmann. NOT ONLY is he an amazing attorney, but he is a kind human. Mr. Groffman has handled two traffic incidents for me, both were frivolous attempts at a money grab against a driver who in 30 years of driving hasn't had so much as parking ticket. Mr. Groffman recognized this, saw the flaws in these tickets and followed through to get them reduced and/or dismissed. He is EXCELLENT.
HOWEVER, I know that fighting tickets isn't all he does. The firm specializes in Estate planning & administration and I can only imagine that he is PHENOMINAL at that as well.
I know this because when you are talking to him, it's like talking to an actual human being. Peter is a kind person, he doesn't talk down to you, and although his knowledge of the law of course FAR supercedes the client, he listens in a way that is compassionate and caring.
Once I have the time, he will be my go to for estate planning, which I imagine can be a delicate and sensitive topic to discuss.
Heck, I can only imagine that sharing your final wishes with an attorney can be an emotional thing to do. You are literally discussing your choices to be carried out after death with a stranger. I KNOW in my heart that Mr. Groffmann handles each client with kindness & a warm heart, because that's who he is. And although I can't speak personally about his estate planning skills as an attorney b/c that would be disengenious, I can tell you that when you step in a room with him, or even speak on the phone, you just know you're in good hands. I think it takes about 10 seconds to recognize a good human being, and it may even take less once you meet Peter.
DO NOT HESITATE if you're selecting your attorney for this delicate matter, to call him. I don't know what other legal services his office covers, but I can guarantee you that if you put your trust and faith in Mr. Groffmann's hands, you will not be disappointed. Thats a 6 star guarantee.

Kristen Farris did an Outstanding job representing me when I needed to make a detrimental change to my existing Child Custody Order in Family Court, which involved a lot time pressing and sensitive issues.
