My ex-spouse is a narcissist, willing to lie, use our child as a pawn, no matter how shameless, no matter how long and even at our child's expense. The smallest decisions between us require a debate and very careful consideration much like a chess match. Intelligent narcissists can master manipulation and be almost impossible to get ahead of. Francine Cohen, consistently anticipated and was always prepared for whatever conflicts came our way. She listened to everything I was feeling and absorbed every historical detail I provided, she knew what I wanted to convey and then knew how to assure my thoughts would be clear, concise, effective, and most of all brilliant. Francine Cohen is a legal autocorrect, absolutely priceless. Unfortunately, so many times pressing matters requiring a quick decision would happen outside of the workday, on holidays, late hours moments before exchanges, etc. Fran never once left me waiting, I never had to make a decision without her providing her thoughts. So many divorces don't go to trial, mine did. Fran and Olga are militant when it comes to organization and preparedness during the trial. They have all documents available in seconds via Ipads as well as paper. if "God forbid the WiFi" stopped working or paper documents were not available, both ways were backed up. If the opposing counsel is unprepared, Fran and Olga would provide documents in order to prevent time from being wasted. Fran made hours of trial and questioning look effortless, she studied every detail of evidence, she picked up on so many things that I missed, she was fascinating to watch. A custody battle that becomes a war, requires weapons and a shield, Francine Cohen is the only weapon and shield you need.

My divorce, custody and child support litigation changed as the situation changed through the years (eg. Changes in child custody as to who was the custodial parent). In an atmosphere very unfamiliar and intimidating to me, I was so much in need of a stable support who was not only familiar with the court system but who could portray my needs and the multiple factors involved in my case to those making the decisions. Fran has been there for us as this support from the very beginning in 2006, through the years when I needed her legal support even to helping to facilitate a domestic settlement agreement last year. In my experience, it was always an instant relief when I'd see her on arrival to court and with Fran sitting beside me in the processes, I felt confident that I had a skilled advocate.

My experience with Ms. F. P. Cohen is that she is a very nice woman but she was not a good lawyer. Firstly, for less than 6 months, I emptied my retainer and somehow ended up owing more than I could have imagined. And I was shocked because I probably only went to court about 3 or 4 times in that 6 month period. I later learned that she charged me for everything from phone calls to emails, meetings and so on and so forth. My services did not match all the money I wound up being responsible to pay. Also, in my opinion, she was not successful at upholding my image in court. She was not even able to portray my image in court and I have lived an upstanding life, all of my life. Basically, if your case is not cut and dry, and especially if it involves any serious accusations that require aggressive and direct representation ( namely custody-related court concerns), I would not recommend.

As I recall, very unresponsive. Impossible to have a conversation with her and when you do, you only get 2 seconds of her time. Those two seconds are valuable, and she knows the law. But there's no explanation of law or process, nor time given to a paying client ... or maybe my case wasn't important enough.

Mr Porter is absolutely a great Criminal Attorney. But his reckless and absolute refusal to speak on behalf of his clients desires in Divorce and Custody should make it against the standards to practice in those areas. Charged over 8000 dollars and I ended up worse than if I had a court appointed attorney for custody. Selfish and shady.

This was actually my second attorney (the first was NOT a good place), and a step in the right direction. Everyone I delt with in this office took me seriously, and understands that this is NOT an easy process. My attorney was Asa Neff and he was wonderful. He took time to explain what was going on and made sure that if I was adamant about a point he taught for it.
Divorce is difficult, and there's a lot of parts, it's good to have someone like Asa that will explain it to you as most of us don't know what all the laws mean is huge. He is also there for you after for any issues that may arrive after your initial case is closed, including asking how things are going (in my case custody was involved).
Though I wish divorce on no one, should you need a lawyer I highly recommend Cordell & Cordell, specifically Asa.
I have actually come back to this law forl.for ongoing issues that have come up, after the divorce but related, and every time I am treated with the same care. Not to mention the amazing office staff that has helped me throughany moments! Honestly they can all deal withe and my stress and over thinking, thars a huge deal, I am the queen of what if, and what are the possible outcomes, and they all keep me in the moment.

They ONLY help the rich, powerful, and those with connections. Did an excellent job with Ms Carroll, but there are thousands of regular people who suffered abuse on a daily basis and not just one encounter like Ms Carroll, yet this firm only goes for the high profile cases and does not care about the rest of the women out there who endured heinous abuse simply because we are not rich, powerful or have connections.

I’m to the point of finding a new lawyer. Mr. William has yet to get anything done during my divorce and it’s been going on for months. They forgot to send over paperwork to me as promised only to find out he will be gone yet again for another couple of weeks. I barely hear from him the only time I can get in contact with anyone is through his staff. I’m truly disappointed in this company and do not recommend.

Tina and Tim have both spent a lot of time on my case. They have been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Not everyone can handle their honesty and approach, but they get stuff done. And they do it with expertise and passion for getting the job done. Excellent petition writing, filing, court appearance (virtual and in-person), thorough, and just a hardcore practice that works as a team and accomplishes a lot. I saw Mr Griffin and paid $250 for a one hour consultation. I thought he would be good for me but I guess he decided otherwise. I called 3 times to set up another appointment and he never returned my call. It's very unprofessional to not call and tell me he doesn't want to work with me. It makes me wonder how good a lawyer he is in a courtroom if he's afraid of confrontation.

Previous client where consultation was complimentary. Had another consultation and was not told about the $350 consultation fee until I showed up to the appointment. The girl at the front desk argued with me stating that she told me about the fees when she “called me back” AFTER my initial call. But when I showed up to the appointment she said she didn’t even have my phone number on file. I told her my previous consultation was free and she yelled at me and said they don’t offer complimentary consultations. I told her I went through them before and had one for free and she said “no you didn’t.” I walked out and will be going through someone who has organized staff and doesn’t overcharge for consultations. Waste of time. Very rude and unprofessional. Will not be continuing my other case through them.

She's a scam artist, she stole my money, did 0 work. It took me two months to get my money back from her, and that's only after I filed and paid for a grievance claim through bar association. After months and countless calls and texts of me trying to get her to do anything, she then said "she didn't feel like it" and wouldn't give money back, I had to go above her just to get it back. There is so many others that claim the same issue! Just search her name, you'll find over 20 others she stole from, check BBB, and other reviews. She's horrible. The fact that she is able to still keep her licence after being a known scam artist is crazy. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

Very poor communication! I could never get ahold of her or a response sent numerous emails and left phone messages no response for over 2 months! After leaving a voice mail saying I was going to find a different lawyer her receptionist finally called me back! She costs more than most lawyers so I thought I was getting a good lawyer but I was wrong. Reading reviews I see others had similar issues over the years. When you pay thousands of dollars you expect at the very least communication! That’s what lawyers are paid for! Maybe she is over worked and taking on to many clients or poor communication with her receptionist what ever the reason it’s not professional or the clients fault! A divorce is stressful enough but when you have a lawyer that isn’t responding or guiding you it makes it even worse!

I’m a single mom. I made an unsafe lane change on my way home from a friends house , I shouldn’t have driven home. I have never been In trouble in my life before this. I emptied my checking account of my children’s child support to hire Mr. Dubois . I had to wear an ankle for 6 months , so embarrassing, drug court, several fines,, AA , counseling, etc. and I don’t really drink, it’s been almost 3 yrs & Ii still do not have my license. So many unreturned calls , I’ve spoken to 3 other attorneys & they basically said the same thing, you could’ve went in there without an attorney and got the same thing! We are in contact with the bar association grievance committee at this point. I feel i should at least get my money back for the poor representation. Ty , I finally had to say something.

Snotty, know it all and not helpful... I wouldn't recommend her services. I didn't like her attitude and she is very pushy and unpolite. I don't think a professional lawyer would act that way... So unless you enjoy dealing with difficult people I suggest you find a better lawyer.

I hired Ms. Tzortzatos to represent me in a complex student loan nightmare. She was very aggressive with the other side and used her knowledge of civil procedure and her mastery of the facts of the case to resolve the matter in a way that was very favorable to me. In New York it's hard for a father to get a fair shake when it comes to custody of their children.
Eskin & Eskin were able to get me full custody of my son.

Represented me in Family court, ddnt show up to a few virtual conferences so i had to defend myself. Did not defend me at all when he did show and makes a ton of excuses. Rarely answers texts or phone calls and was late to my last in person hearing that seem like a total waste of his time. At first she seems sincere and determined to help me but that quickly turned into raking up extra unnecessary bills and invoices. She prioritized clients as paychecks, never responded to calls/texts/emails until the last possible second. She not only wasted thousands of my dollars but also years dragging on my divorce! She is my sons attorney and she really cares about him. I know she does her job from the heart and fights for what's right. When everyone was trying to put me down and my lawyer was absent she really did and said what she could to stick up for me and not make me look like a terrible person or mother and also stuck by my sons side at the same time. Today was my sons birthday and he passed away and I had court today and had a lot on my mind and she really made me feel better like I'm worthy and not a piece of trash. She's a mother and I know a mother understands that we fight for our kids. I was able to work with Heather Kitchen and her team to put together an actual plan on how to positively pursue the completion of my pending divorce. I was met with empathy and kindness. Heather Kitchen and her staff were professional, hands-on, reactive, supportive, direct and clear. When my case needed added attention and clarity, there were no delay, when I was in need of a stern voice of advocacy they were there for me. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or as if billing was the priority. Heather Kitchen immediately response to my email and is attentive to my concerns. First visit, he stated a good plan of action, however, he never kept me informed of any progress. I was doing all of the leg work and sending him the findings. Although requested of him call backs to advise if any progress, no calls were returned. Sent texts and emails. To my 40+ calls, he called 7 times. None of his calls provided any substantial updates. He was paid up front and never fulfilled any resolution, at all. He made empty promises and situation, one year later, is no different. I even was compelled to ask him "who he was representing"? Because it didn't appear to be me. He also provided me no paperwork when I requested it.

Ms. Procton represented me back in 2010. She was a court appointed lawyer. I regret she was assigned to my case as it was obvious that she had absolutely no interest in my case or help me. She was in touch with the opposition party ( my ex-husband) via email and it's a big no. Ms. Procton is someone I will never recommend to anyone. Stay away from her.
