Ms. MacKenzie was honest about what to expect throughout my divorce process. She prefers to help with collaboration because that is the least harmful way for all parties but in a hostile situation she will fiercely represent her client in court. She is shrewd and strong. She will not back down if she believes in your case and in her solutions.

She is always prepared and knows every detail of my case. She cares about my children and helps to keep me focused on them and their needs. She often reaches out to the other side and settles on issues when possible to move things along, but she will not give up if she thinks you are getting a bad deal. Very smart and very creative. She is also honest, direct, and no-nonsense and won't tolerate exaggeration or lies or unnecessary drama.

In retaining this attorney I was hopeful that she, as an older, experienced woman would be able to advise me through my divorce and custody battle. I should have terminated her long before I did. Not only was she rude and condescending to me more and more as the case went on, after over 20k+ her office was unable to supply a draft of a settlement offer that both parties were willing to sign. I was told I had to go though all of the emails that had gone back and forth for months in order to glean the information that I needed in order to settle my case. Melody herself, throughout the case and increasingly became highly emotional when asked about particulars of my case and often refused to answer emails stating I had to contact her by phone. I had started emailing her exclusively after being screamed at and told I was a "charity case" over the phone one day. She was not able to discern simple calendar parenting information which I laid out in detail in writing and in google calendar format insisting that I was the one not being clear in my proposals and communications. Overall, I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. At all. Ever- unless you like spending a lot of money and being berated while not getting results. I regret the initial decision to hire her immensely.

Randi is amazing. She is intelligent, quick on her feet, and tenacious. She is helping me with a custody matter and hasn't been afraid to jump in and fight for my son and me, even when things were looking pretty doom and gloom. She's been great at maintaing calmness in the midst of a turbulent storm. She sets and manages expectations then exceeds them.
Dave Mejias, her partner, is incredible too. He has offered insightful strategy and support. I've also been impressed with how quick Mannie Vasquez is to get what's needed for my case. The whole office is super responsive, which is so important to me when dealing with such a highly emotional matter.
I highly recommend Randi not just because she is a real pro and is the best advocate you can find, but because you REALLY don't want her to be your opposing counsel. SERIOUSLY.

While Ms Arcuri was responsive and knowledgable, my divorce took two years, and I had to prompt her quite a few times to keep things moving along. I didn't feel like she really "fought" for me, I felt like she went through the motions, and I ended up basically giving up the farm just to get rid of my ex, because nothing was happening unless I made concessions. In the end, I got minimal child support, only had my kids half the time, and I basically feel like I could have fared better with just about any other lawyer. And it cost me a fortune. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend her to anyone.

I wish I had seen this website before. Mr. Anesi is a very good attorney, trustworthy and conscientious. I have retained Mr. Anesi as my attorney for well over 15 years. He has never let me down!! I hope the client who complained about the hidden surprising fees that were tacked on without any notice, realizes that billing in a law office is usually done by the office manager and not by the attorney, similar to a medical office. I experienced the same billing issue, but being the banker that I am, I discussed the problem with Mr. Anesi. Well, my billing issues went away when his office manager was dismissed! If anything, I think Mr. Anesi was a victim like the rest of us.

Mr. Fertig has been my children's law gaurdian in family court on several occasions. I think he is very knowledgable in this area of practice. He seems to be able to read both the kids and the parents very well. To put it frankly, I think he is wise to the BS some people try to put forth. I thought he represented my kids' interests very well, and was fair, truthful, and lawfully responsible in his report.

We spoke with about 8-10 attorneys before coming to him and were met with not great resultso. Even though we did not end up hiring him because of the complicated case we had, he broke everything down for us and explained it all in laymen terms for us to understand. If we had known him sooner, we would have hired him in a heartbeat. He took the time to explain everything and answered every single one of our questions until we were satisfied and understood, knowing full well he could not take the case. If we had known him first, we would have definitely hired him no matter the cost.

Very unprofessional, ignorant, and rude. She wants to put a disabled person in jail for not being able to pay child support. I have been told by a doctor that I cannot work in any capacity. She has temper tantrums in the court room. I would look elsewhere if you are thinking of hiring her as an attorney.

To take it to the most basic of civil rights and laws no one with a TBI should ever represent themselves in a United States courtroom for any reason. And every senor court officer such as Support Magistrate John Raimondi should know that. I believe they are running a criminal enterprise and I wonder how many hundreds if not thousands of people Mr. Raimondi and the Suffolk County court system as scammed this way. Ms hunt represented me for a time before for technical reasons we had to part paths. I'm dealing with a difficult family court case that she was with me for for a few months. I had submitted evidence to her that showed that the statement against me was false, but the device I had it recorded on was stolen. I contacted her as a final hope and she responded with in a few days with the evidence! This may seem like a random review but my time spent with Elizabeth was very positive! I have bad anxiety and Elizabeth helped me through every step, reminding me that I was innocent and to stay the course! I would recommend her to everyone!

Complete neglect.
During my divorce proceedings, she repeatedly told me that it was fine for me to move out of my house and start my new life before the court hearing took place. As a result, the judge said I abandoned my children to which I then had to fight for custody. She had no remorse for her poor advice and only said, “I don’t know happened.”
I decided to change lawyers and after thousands of dollars spent, I was finally able to obtain partial custody of my children.

Highly highly recommend not using Chris! 6 months and waiting for closing on property! Amber is very unprofessional ..Been told by many realtors that they are fighting for there commission from the closings. Stay very very far away from these guys!
Edit called at 8 am as there google page states they are open.. 8:37 they answered.. not sure why the closing wasn’t done when they don’t show up to work on time.

Horrendous experience with Melvin and Melvin. They were referred to me by my Realtor for our house closing. Very unprofessional. Closing took 2 and a half months and was delayed so much that it ended up costing us thousands of dollars. I was going to keep my options on them to myself but after receiving the closing paperwork in the mail with “inaccurate” information, I’ve decided to give a review here and on all of my Social Media apps. Attorney, after she screwed up, wrote that I requested funds to be wired to me after the sale. This is absolutely incorrect and the Attorney must know this. It’s well documented via email that she screwed up and again cost me more money to fix her mistake. I’m sure this a CYA situation. Such a silly thing to be “inaccurate” about. This Firm certainly doesn’t need anymore bad reviews but here we are. Too bad the Attorney wasn’t “accurate” in her file. ** using accurate and inaccurate in quotes because I’m sure I’d hear from them if I used the term that actually fits!

My experience with Adrienne D. Edward Law Office was appalling. I felt always in the dark regarding my situation because of the inadequate communication. The level of service was subpar, and it appeared that they were more concerned with collecting money than assisting me. I wouldn't suggest this business to anyone looking for capable legal representation since the entire process was stressful and disappointing. Considering my experience, all the glowing reviews seem dubious. Look elsewhere and spare yourself the headache.

Just after college I met and married Rose. I hoped we would have a happily ever after and I truly tried my best to make that happen. I worked hard and made good money. We had four children, but my wife made me do everything. She never worked during the marriage, and that was fine with me because we didn’t need the money. However, I always hoped she would take more interest in the kids and our home, but it never happened. Year after year, I was the one who got up to make breakfast and the school lunches for the kids before I went to work. Over time, Rose and I grew apart and I realized that I was carrying everything on my back. I never felt like I had a partner. We tried counselling but nothing changed. Finally, after nearly 20 years, I decided to get a divorce. I asked friends about divorce lawyers and the Law Office of Ellen Holtzman came highly recommended. After the initial consult I asked Ellen to send the divorce papers to Rose.
I was always generous to Rose and the kids, but she was never satisfied. It was never enough, even when I willingly gave her above and beyond what the court ordered. Since the divorce became final seven years ago, she has taken me to court for extra support more than 20 times over issues that lack any validity. She seems to do it just to waste everybody’s time because the judges never find in her favor. I used to wonder why Ellen kept such a detailed paper trail about everything, all the correspondence back and forth. Honestly, I didn’t think a lot of it was necessary. But later, dragged into court year after year by my ex, I saw the point. When the judge had a question, Ellen always had the answer, and she always had the documents to prove everything. Proof that all the checks and the letters had been received, proof that the checks were deposited, and receipts showing that the money being sought for needed items had already been paid.
Now happily remarried to a woman who is a true partner, I want to say that you can rely on Ellen and her team. They have been there for me every time I needed them. With Ellen, I had the best and she changed my life. Also want to say, Meryl was very kind and helpful to me. The office functioned as a really good team and I feel so lucky to have had them all on my side.

It took me several hours last night to get over the unexpected strong emotions I was feeling from the events of the trial today.
You and your staff have spent hours, days and weeks doing the most thorough job in preparation for my trial, including all those heavy file boxes you methodically carried back and forth to court.
You were superb! You walked into a situation where several meetings with the judge, my ex-husband's attorney and my prior attorney had already taken place. You fought full-force against a judge who believed my ex-husband was ill, penniless and not capable of earning money.
When you examined my former husband on the stand, much to my ex-husband’s dismay, you were able to prove, based on a report from his doctor, that he was no longer ill nor incapacitated as a result of his illness. You were also able to prove he was far from penniless, and had, in fact, spent lavishly on apartment renovations, his dogs, restaurants, travel and other luxuries. You were able to prove he had just received a substantial payment from one of the companies with which he is actively involved. You thus proved he had the means to pay me the court-ordered alimony on which he had been in default of for over two and a half years.
Georgia, you turned a judge slanted to the other side into seeing the true situation. As you know, I have had other attorneys in my lifetime, but never have I had one who did the magnificent job you have done and never have I had an attorney or known a person who is as compassionate and as fine a human being as you.
I feel so lucky you came into my life and I honestly cannot imagine what would have happened to me without you.

After my husband and I went to a mediator for a separation agreement, a lawyer friend insisted that I go to Georgia Kramer, and ONLY Georgia Kramer, before I signed it. Am I glad I did! I cannot imagine what my post-marriage life would be like had I not had Georgia as my advocate and divorce attorney.
At Georgia's suggestion, I faxed the agreement to her, and when I arrived for our first meeting she was fully prepared to help. Her calm and personable manner alleviated much of my anxiety, and her suggestions and advice inspired great confidence in her ability to manage my case.
She wasted no time . After asking specifically about my needs and concerns for my future,she took out her notes on the already studied document, and began editing it to eliminate vague and ambiguous language that could present problems for me in the future, while clearly explaining the ramifications of these changes. Her amazing patience and her ability to help me understand the implications of what was done illustrated to me how knowledgeable, how experienced and how committed she is to her clients. She clearly understands the difficult situation that divorce presents, and she went out of her way both personally and professionally to represent my interests.
I also noticed her professionalism during meetings with my soon to be ex and his lawyer. While she acted respectfully toward my husband and his attorney, she was also quite assertive, and exhibited a strong, no-nonsense approach while arguing for the best outcome for me, her client. It was clear to me that my husband's lawyer knew of and had great respect for Georgia.
Because of all this, my settlement was more than I ever could have hoped for. It meets far more than my needs and concerns. Despite Georgia's extensive experience, her deep knowledge of divorce law and her obvious expertise in tax law, she constantly explained to me clearly what she was doing on my behalf, and how it would affect me. I first retained Penny back in 2001 when I separated from my husband of 20 years. Penny prepared our separation agreement which eventually was to become our divorce agreement. Fast forward 15 years and my ex-husband filed against me to be relieved of his maintenance payments. Penny had prepared an iron-clad agreement which held up. My Attorney passed away and Martin Ashley took over his practice. I had an Ebel Beluga watch along with a 2 karat diamond engagement ring which was supposed to be returned to me upon the completion of my Divorce. I phoned Martin Ashley to ask him for my valuables back which was written in a legal contract that I would. Mr. Ashley refused and informed me to hire an attorney to sue him.
