Don’t let her petite size for you… Courtney is a force to be reckoned with. Although my divorce took longer than expected due to Covid…she made it all happen! My ex-husband had to go through three different attorneys because Courtney put up such a good fight! BEST IN OC!

I hired Courtney Shepard because I was told she would be a "Tiger" in the court for me. I really needed someone who could stand up for what was right with my divorce. Instead, I got a feeble attorney. Everytime we had a meeting, she was always jittery, biting her nails, always asking me the same questions. Most of the time she was not prepared. Courtney and her staff didn't keep me in the loop as to what was going on. They scheduled a deposition and didn't tell me about it. I had to constantly ask her & her staff to update me. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you, look elsewhere. DON'T hire Courtney Shepard!

I retained at a time when I was feeling my lowest. Not only did Rhonda help me through this process efficiently and thoroughly, I felt that her and her paralegal, Rene, truly cared about me. I had another attorney previously and I rarely got responses. In fact, his staff often didn't remember who I was. Renee always got back to me promptly and kept me informed throughout. The rates are reasonable and I never felt overcharged (which is a HUGE concern for anyone going through a family law matter). If you want personal attention with years of expertise, this is the office for you.

I was referred to Ronda by another member of my law enforcement family. Right away, I could feel her confidence, knowledge and professionalism. I was faced with an extremely difficult dilemma that Ronda assured me would be ok and told me not to stress. Easier said than done. After consulting with several prospective divorce and family law attorneys, I found that Amy Stavis was the best attorney in her field by far. She was so knowledgeable in all areas including child custody and mediation and was also able to salvage an amicable relationship with my ex wife. Our kids have been minimally effected and this is undoubtedly due in large part to Amy Stavis. She's the best family law attorney in Santa Clara county...and believe me, I talked to several of them.

Amy is not a typical attorney. She cares more than most and makes you feel comfortable much more than most. My mediation case was extrmely civil and I think my wife and I owe a lot of that to Amy's professionalism and just staying on top of everything. There were no pitfalls, no surprises. Paperwork isn't fun for any of this but luckily she did most of it and even helped us do our part. The forms get really confusing so it is very nice to have someone be able to explain things in layman's terms.

Would give more than 5 stars if possible. I really appreciated my attorney being so willing to explain the legal process to me in layman's terms. From the moment I met with Amy Stavis, she was honest with me and helped me to understand how the confusing and overwhelming process of legal separation and divorce worked. With her help, my mind was put at ease and I was able to make thoughtful decisions about where to focus my energies. I had not even been aware of the "no fault" rules and once I understood that, I knew that certain things that I cared so much about and that I thought were so important would not actually have an impact on a settlement. Oddly enough, I had met with 2 other lawyers before ever having met Amy Stavis and this was never somehow explained to me. I felt like the others may just have been interested in a financial gain, thinking I could afford to turn everything into a disputed issue. Finding someone honest and up front is what I needed and I was able to obtain a very fair settlement because of the advice that was given to me by Amy Stavis. To this day, my ex-spouse and I are on amicable terms and I think this is due in part to Amy Stavis's personality and input in our case. My ex didn't have an attorney. She actually liked MY attorney and was made to feel comfortable in working out all of out property and child issues (custody). We now can coparent well. This is the best thing I could have asked for considering that we were ending our marriage. Top notch help equals less headaches and less stress.

I was David vs Goliath. My ex had a powerful family and stacked the deck against me, and I thought I would never get to have my son. My ex and her family had done everything they could to keep me and my son seperated. I had nobody to help me. Maria was able to prepare me and guide me through the scariest part of the legal system; and without her I WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH IT. Rick is a great family law attorney! He really came through for our family when we kept getting our paperwork denied by the courts. The courts are not easy to navigate by yourself and Rick was there to help us out when we needed it. He was knowledgeable, patient, and got the job done for us in a short amount of time. Mrs. Mendez helped our family obtain full custody and finalize our step-parent adoption. Mrs. Mendez was there for us every step of the way. Mrs. Mendez took the case when my daughter was born, helped me obtain DNA, visiting rights, we build a case against my ex and with time we were able to obtain full custody, terminate her rights, and finalize the step-parent adoption. Mrs. Mendez is straight forward and was always present at every court hearing. Mrs. Mendez kept us informed through the whole process by phone calls, meetings, emails, and was able to answer all of our questions. We will continue to use Mrs. Mendez services in case we have any issues in the future.

I was caught totally by surprise with my divorce. I met Mrs. Mendez on recommendation from another attorney's secretary & I wondered why! I soon found out why she was so highly recommended to me. My ex was financially backed by her wealthy family and there high priced attorney. Mrs. Mendez immediately secured my rights and put my divorce on a level playing field. Mrs. Mendez has her own office which I appreciated because she gives full attention to her cases, not other attorney's cases as was the situation I had to deal with at another firm! Mrs. Mendez litigated a fair settlement for me in the divorce. She fought hard to make sure that I was awarded almost 50% custody of my 2 children and she went back to court for me to have my child support reduced to a very reasonable amount! If anything ever occurs with my ex in the future, I'm going right back to Mrs. Mendez.

We hired Britney Malpiede to prepare and litigate in Family Court on two occasions. She arrived prepared with full knowledge of the scope of our complex situation and was able condense our argument into simple rational terms for the court, which she articulated with great skill and respect. Defending us during a short Ex Parte hearing, Brit was able to to completely change our Judge's initial bias by convincing the Judge to take recess and read the strong declaration with evidence she prepared. After which I was awarded Joint Legal Custody. Brit is both professional and empathetic; she gives advise based on experience and careful investigation. Brit showed she clearly has good standing/ reputation with the San Diego Court. This matters a great deal. When she spoke, the Judge listened. I couldn't not say the same for the other party's aggressive counsel. If you are searching for an attorney, look no further. You are in good hands with Britney Malpiede.

If you are involved in a family law case I couldn’t stress the importance of a good lawyer enough. I talked to, and was disappointed by several Family Law offices before meeting Ms. Malpiede back in 2014. When she began working on my case I was in a really bad place in terms of being able to see my kids. Ms. Malpiede always conducted herself professionally and had the foresight to help me “go high” when the opposing party “went low” and to always put the children first. Now, thanks to Ms. Malpiede I am able to be with my kids every week. I’m very happy with and grateful for Ms. Malpiede’s work.

Ms, Malpiede went up against my ex's attorney who's slogan was " When the rings come off, the gloves do too!" She remained professional, maintained her cool and ultimately stayed (professionaly, I might add) the course to achieve the best result to my case. She is knowledgeable about military divorce(which mine was), compassionate and supportive throughout the entire process, even though I was an ex-wife who hadn't worked in four years, was blindsided by this process and she explained everything to me, this helped me SO MUCH and for which I remain eternally grateful!! No te desesperes busca información sobre tu caso así como lo hice yo no tube que regalarle el dinero a ese garcia. Será muy bueno o no pero yo no ago tratos con ese tipo de jente. Thomsom muy profesional y paciente. Fui con otro abogado y trabaja en la fiscalia y me dijo que el iba a ser honesto qué yo no ocupaba de regalar dinero que con un defensor público era más que suficiente. para arreglar mi caso y así fue el caso fue anulado.

I had a phenomenal experience with Shelli! I am so grateful for all of her hard work and kindness and honestly kind of sad that now that our case is settled, I won't get to talk to her as much because she's so sweet. She was extremely responsive (even when emergencies came up like early on a Sunday morning) and always just so understanding and kind. She spent hours upon hours reviewing my case and I felt like she really understood my son and his needs. She gave excellent advice. She worked so hard for us and we're really happy with the results she achieved. I highly recommend her!

Coronado Unified School District revoked my disabled sons interdistrict transfer with 5 weeks left in the 23-24 school year because of his behavior (a direct manifestation of his disability). They were unable to support him effectively and apparently thought effectively kicking him out was easier. Jennifer Holtzman was an absolute treasure in bringing this to the school district and we were ultimately successful and settled. While the district doesn't "admit guilt" through a settlement, I hope they understand that what they did was disgusting at best. Very thankful to have the Law Office of Matthew Storey on our side.

I spoke with attorney Austin for some guidance related to my two years long divorce case. He took his time to answer all of my questions and I felt heard and respected. He even went over the 45 minutes I was allowed and did not charge extra for the extra time. His guidance gave me a newfound perspective which I am hoping will help me finalize my case once and for all. He took the case but did nothing to help, he knew the court would rule in alignment the mediators recommendation. He showed up to court and delayed the proceeding by 4 hours to milk the hourly rate. I wish I knew Iim advance he would be of no assistance, money down the drain. The other party made false allegations and scheduled an emergency hearing under false pretenses. I used Mr. Arietta’s Law Office for a Will and Living Trust. Its something I put off for years. I should have reached out earlier because David and his assistant Megan did a great job. Efficient. Good at keeping in touch on next steps. The fee was reasonable too (I compared elsewhere). Seems like the process went pretty quick. Posting this review that was sent to Tiffany Andrews following completion of our service. This was never posted on her firm's website. We are writing to provide an objective review of our experience with Tiffany Andrews and her mediation services. Although Tiffany was pleasant to work with, our overall assessment is that the services provided were average. We were disappointed that we never had the opportunity to meet her in person, despite multiple trips to her office. During our case, we couldn't help but notice that the handling of our mediation proceedings resembled that of a general contractor overseeing a construction project. We encountered unexpected changes in Tiffany's team, with members coming and going without prior notice. This lack of consistency had a noticeable impact on the process and left us feeling unsettled. Another area of concern was the significant disparity between our original cost estimate and the final bill. The cost nearly doubled, which was unexpected and disappointing. Our mediation and divorce proceedings were minimal in complexity, as stated by Tiffany herself. Considering the simplicity of the case, we had hoped for more streamlined and cost-effective services. Throughout the process, there were instances where communication and continuity seemed lacking. We often had to repeat information from one meeting to the next, resulting in frustration and delays.
