I made some very stupid mistakes with my friends a couple of years ago, and ended up getting a court letter in the mail about a year later stating that I was being charged with 3 misdemeanors. This was my first time ever being involved with the law, as I had never received even a parking ticket prior to this incident. I felt completely overwhelmed and anxious for days, and even had trouble sleeping. I searched around for different lawyers in my area, and immediately felt comfortable with Dyke and his assistant Kym. He was extremely understanding of my situation, yet very straightforward and clear with his approach to tackle the whole ordeal. He helped to put my mind at ease with the court case and was very professional, yet friendly, at the same time. He handled everything for me and represented in me court. Dyke was able to get my charges dismissed through some volunteer work and restitution fees. I was given a 2nd chance in life to stay on a straight path and out of trouble, and have done just that since this case about 2 years ago. I highly recommend Dyke, his work is absolutely superb.

Dyke is a legend as far as I am concerned. He has gotten me out of big time trouble using his knowledge of the law. While he has a small firm just him and his secretary I have witnessed the magic that he can do in a court room. He is straight to the point when it comes to your case and is passionate about each and everyone of his clients. While he's been my attorney for multiple cases he has never let me down even when the odds where severely stacked against me. Not to mention he is willing to work with you on his cost, while he isn't cheap he is extremely fair. But as far as attorneys go I will never use a different one and would recommend him to anyone I care about if they were to get themselves in a sticky situation. I can't thank the man enough for what he has done for me!

This is long overdue. I am a former Marine, got into some stupid trouble (first time in my life). Dyke was a great advocate and adviser. He didn't sugar coat anything but he remained buoyant and positive. Despite fact that I ended up pleading out and going to prison I know Dyke did everything in his power to help me. All is good now and it's a lesson learned. Smart, trustworthy and reliable and good taste in music and guitar players. Highest recommendation.

I had interviewed several lawyers before I picked her as my lawyer. She was the only one who called me back directly. The other lawyers had their secretary called me instead. She also had a novel approach to my divorce. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out. Throughout the case, she represented me even when she had to taged out of my case due to personal issue, she still helped me find a new lawyer. Her price was the most reasonable out of all the lawyers I talked to. She is not the type of lawyer who is trying to squeeze as much money out of you. She is very caring. Even though my case didn't come out as I would like, I would strongly recommend her as your personal lawyer.

Mrs. Gohari represented me in my case and it was an admirable experience working with her. She is very patient and explains every legal term in a detailed and a clear manner. Honestly one of the best attorneys I have dealt with. I hired Mr. Fard to handle my brother's suspected DUI case and not only did he keep me informed of all court proceedings but he would answer all my calls and questions whenever I contacted him. My brother was very nervous and unsettled with having caught a case but in the end, Mr. Fard was able to get my brother's DUI case dismissed. If you're looking to hire an attorney who will be dedicated to your case, Mr. Fard should definitely be your one and only choice. He's definitely being kept in my contacts in case I ever need him for anything (although I hope that won't be necessary).

I hired Kevin Fard as my DUI Attorney and had both my cases DISMISSED. My dmv hearing was won and also my court hearing for the criminal DUI. Mr Fard is beyond knowledgeable in his abilities as an attorney and goes above and beyond to protect you and your rights. Mr Fard gathered evidence and conducted himself in court extremely competent and sharp . He also showed great composer and confidence in what he represented and within my rights of the law towards the DA and Judge. Mr. Fard was also very good at communicating and getting back to me in a quick and efficient manner. I spoke to a social worker in regards to the stability of their home life when they aren't with me. Being concerned about my daughter, and the inconsistency of her lifestyle which concerned me quite a bit whenever she would take the kids or present a different new boyfriend/place to stay.. (for the most part I have raised them/they lived w/me) I began to get concerned about how they were being affected by her irresponsibility as a parent. Later to find out that they were not attending school, and my oldest grandson taking on the babysitter role and would get in trouble for his little brother in which he became a totally different kid (quite angry about his whole environmen) he was told to lie to me if I asked him questions. My grandson started to call me when his mom would sleep/ or wasn't home and he would tell me things. I convinced my daughter to let me take them to live with me during the week so I can enroll them back in school and fix the inconsistency again time passed and they were safe with me; She started telling me things when she didn't get her way, trying to manipulate saying she was taking the kids from me (*if I talked to her about lying, and being irresponsible etc...) I got to the point that I needed to help these kids before she really screwed them upore and swore to look; nyo things and if she ever got into trouble shoplifting etc... I would use it to my advantage. The social worker referred me to Legal services for children and I started to work on getting guardianship and soon enough she went to jail. They were great, they helped me so much with everything including emergency paperwrk for serving her in jail for restraining order etc .. they came to my home to talk to the kids and I. They made it smooth like butter explaining everything!!! So glad she recommended this place. Perfect for kids who eed help!!!

Dealing with the death of a loved one is hard, dealing with an untimely death that necessitates litigation is beyond comprehension when you're grieving, but it's sometimes the choice you need to make. Our family had no experience with lawsuits and that's daunting. Kathryn, Karman and their entire team gently guided us through every step of the process. Everything was explained in a thorough but easy to understand way, making us feel cared for and confident in their expertise. All decisions were ours to make; at no point did we feel pressured to do anything that made us uncomfortable. I was wrongfully arrested, taken to jail and told I had a warrant for i crime I didn’t commit nor was the warrant in my correct name. I was a nervous wreck after wondering what could happen to me. After contacting the office and speaking with Peter he helped me through every step and I felt assured I would be ok. Peter was able to obtain a factual finding of innocence after my arrest and as a result the records were destroyed. Not only was everything resolved, I felt re-assured every step of the way after consulting his law office.

From the initial call to the decision in court, Ben was trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. Out of the six lawyers I spoke with, Ben was the only one that believed in my case against the DMV. His communication always comes from a place of compassion and understanding. Needless to say he WON our writ against the DMV when everyone else said I didn't have a chance. We won our initial writ and the DMV decided to appeal to a higher court. Needless to say, Ben took on the new case and was equally communicative and helpful. I first met Maryam in 2013 while she worked diligently on a criminal case for my husband. She had truly been a Godsend to my family. Maryam went above and beyond to thoroughly represent my husband, she went as far as to obtain her notary license so that she could notarized an important document while my husband was incarcerated at MDC, LA. I could call on her and Maryam would be available. It gave me great peace of mind knowing that she was an attorney that actually cared about her clients. Maryam was honest with me and did not sugar-coat the severity of my husbands case. I felt safe and connected to her for her honesty. Tragically, my husband passed away in custody. I had not spoken to Maryam in well over a year (we ended up going with a public defender). I received a very heartfelt text from Maryam giving me her condolences and telling me how much she knew I loved my husband. A year and half later in 2016, I hired her to represent my minor daughter for a DUI. Again, I cannot tell how much she went above and beyond to represent thoroughly for my family. She works hard, she's honest and she has a heart that truly wants to help her clients and represent them in the best possible way. Maryam took the time to sit and meet with my daughter and offered her ear and help even beyond the court room. My daughter received probation and Maryam did her homework and was able to save me thousands ($25+K) of dollars in a falsified restitution claim. I could never thank Maryam enough for all that she has done for me and my family. My daughter is now off of probation thanks for Maryam. She is on a much better path and is expecting. I will say that I did not trust attorneys before. Maryam is an attorney that I literally trust with my life. She took the utmost care of my late husband and my daughter. I had found Maryam Sharifi through a common aquantance and I will say I was very lucky to have been able to find a way to her. I had received a DUI charge that was pending as a felony and she did everything she could to save me jail time and bring it down to a misdemeanor. She had spoken with me dad and many occasions and went out of her way to keep him informed as well and she really got to know us had a genuine concern for my well being. She found a traffic school for me and made sure I kept up with any and all court assigned classes to make sure I got out of this okay. For a very long time I had a huge worry of going to jail and having to drop out of school and all that come with that; and Maryam has helped physically as well as mentally with all of that and I couldn't thank her enough. I highly recommend Maryam Sharifi if you have any kind of issues like I did.

When we were looking for an ethical attorney to represent our son, it was a daunting task. We interviewed many attorneys, but after meeting and speaking with Matthew Izzi, I knew that he was the one to represent our son's defense. I felt he would approach his defense with integrity and respect for our son, and he did. Matthew doesn't fall into believing false accusations of articles written, community pressures and opposing counsel stacked charges, he develops his defense based on facts, based on the truth for his client, our son. He assured our son of his defense plan and collaborated with our son on the best way to develop his defense strategy. Matthew's demeaner in the courtroom is professional, no matter how much opposing counsel tries to pull his strings, he remains calm and forthright. He addressed injustices that were made against our son and explained many facts, of the truth, that sheds a bright light for the jury to see and that light doesn't go out, for that is what the truth does, it shines bright. Matthew gave us hope, something the DA tried to destroy. The Shasta legal system is a process of delays, unnecessary jail time --for our son, questionable decisions made by appointed judges, unfair bail , this is 'not' a justice system in our point of view. This was frustrating for us and for our son. We experienced many injustices during my son's trial by opposing counsel and Shasta Sheriff dept. So you need a good lawyer when you are in Shasta's court system. If you are looking for a good defense lawyer consider Matthew, he cares for his client's well being, despite the uphill battle he faces when dealing with the opposing counsel's unprofessional behaviors, different judges and Shasta Sherriff/Probation dept., etc.. One more comment, if you read anything written via yelp, social media or in the newspaper, that is negative about Matthew's character, by certain people in Shasta county, don't believe them, they can't deal with Matthew being so good at his job and believing in our son's account regarding what really happened. God knows the truth and the yappers negativity against my son, will be dealt with by God. When stacked charges are brought up against your loved one, you need an attorney who will represent your loved one, in an aggressive, professional, intelligent and smart manner. The highlight is-- you need Matthew who will believe in you and will work diligently to prove your loved one's innocence. Matthew helped me understand an area, that I wasn't familiar with, the legal system, this also helped our son fight the system for his innocence and to try to get through the difficult situation. Matthew's staff is friendly, listened to me through many phone calls regarding my frustration with the Court process, the DA and Sherriff dept. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for all that Alexandra and her team have done to help me work through a difficult tax situation. After years of sleepless nights trying and failing to resolve my tax concerns on my own, Alexandra was recommended to me by a local accountant. We had a handful of in-person meetings to bring her and her team up to speed on my situation, and within a short period things started to fall into place. Like most tax matters, this did take a fair bit of time to fully work through (around a year), but Alexandra and her team where there for me every step of the way, ensuring I understood the entire process, and in the end I saved a huge amount of time, money and grief. Matt O'Connor is an outstanding attorney. I used his services several months ago after being charged with a DUI. I had absolutely no experience with the process or any understanding of what difficulties I was facing. I also had no idea which attorney was best suited to deal with my situation, but I got lucky. Who you select to represent you is one of the most important decisions you will make. It can have a huge impact on the outcome of your case. We hired Matt back in 2014 for a DUI for my husband. He has had priors also, Matt was able to get him little to no time then because of prior experience with be a DA he got him a good deal then! Fast forward 6 years my husband found himself In trouble with two cases from two different counties. With Matt’s patience and understanding he explained to us what time my husband was looking at. Thankfully Matt was able to get my husband concurrent time for both so he won’t have to serve much time. It could have been much worse. Thank you Matt. Richard was great. Within a week my misdemeanor traffic ticket was reduced to just a traffic ticket. Months later, it was reduced to traffic school. My client had a bench warrant for not showing up to court. Richard made the whole thing go away, not even traffic school in his case.

John Hamasaki represented me for about a year after I was arrested in a protest. John was extraordinarily diligent. He consistently came to court extremely well prepared - often with pages of notes outlining his strategy and potential questions to witnesses. He was always available to answer my questions, but he was always careful to leave the ultimate decision on what legal path to choose up to me. I have no doubt that with a different lawyer I almost certainly would have gotten a less favorable outcome. I would recommend him unreservedly.

John represented me in San Francisco County for a civil matter, and prevailed in two separate hearings related to the same matter in which I was the petitioner. John and his associate were incredibly compassionate, kind, supportive and responsive during a time that was difficult and concerning for me, which helped greatly to mitigate the stress of the situation and court procedures. In late 2014, our family was hit by what seemed like the perfect storm. Our business was barely holding on, we began caretaking my grandfather post-stroke, and my grandmother was terminally ill. And when we thought things couldn't get harder, my father, a small businessman with a strong reputation in local SF community, was arrested based on false accusations. A man with no criminal history and has owned his business in the same location for over 25 years was charged with committing a criminal threat against a troublesome customer and brandishing a weapon when in reality it was self defense. Although he has worked in the same location for so many years, it hasn't been the safest. Our store has been victim to many troublesome customers and robberies, including armed robberies, throughout the years. The day my father was arrested, he brandished a firearm in self defense because a hostile customer was challenging him to fight. Accused him of damaging items he barely touched and escalated to wanting to fight. When my dad wouldn't fight and instead brandished the firearm, the customer left and it seemed like the end of it. Then the nightmare came. The customer had called the police and made up a story of how my father threatened his life with the firearm. And when the surveillance was pulled, there was no audio. My father was arrested and we began almost a year and a half journey of court hearings and worry. We hear all the time of innocent people wrongly convicted and incarcerated. What if my father became a statistic? We spent a long time searching for the right lawyer as we were in a vulnerable position, skeptical of others especially after how the police handled the situation. We spent searching for a little over 2 weeks and John Hamasaki was our choice. From the very first phone call to our first meet, John was always very straightforward about our options and made it clear that it would be a process we would have to go through, but he would do everything he could to make sure we fought this case the right way. John was very attentive to all the details of the case and made our family feel that our case was of priority, which we appreciate a lot. We know lawyers are extremely busy handling multiple cases but John was never too busy to answer our countless questions. Everyone who worked in his office was always more than courteous and welcoming. And we never made it to trial. The felony was dismissed at the preliminary hearing and the DA offered to dismiss the misdemeanor while we were scheduling for trial. I credit this solely to Johns strategic decisions in scheduling our hearings and talking with the DA. Our family felt each move in our case was well calculated and that's when you know you're working with a great lawyer. We can't thank the office of John Hamasaki enough for what they have given us, which is a new start. My father is 63 years old and with all the stress finally lifted, he can now focus on his well being which is a better quality of life to spend with loved ones. And that is something no words could express how grateful we are of John Hamasaki. Thank you John, truly.

My name is David. I hired Shawn and Kelly to help me seek damages from a contractor who installed defective materials in my home. After 9 months of being ignored, deceived, and mistreated by the contractor, I decided to pursue legal action. Shawn and Kelly took a proactive and professional approach and initially created a very detailed demand letter citing various legal precedence and legal remedies to attempt to find an out of court settlement.
