I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I received a distracted driving citation. I was recommended to this law office by a company that seeks out stellar legal counsel. They set me up with this guy which was a big mistake. The court offered me a deal in which points and fees would be waived for a citation. The citation would still show up on my MVR after it was all said and done though. Since this is not what I wanted considering I am a CDL driver and overall this will looks very bad on my record, I seeked out legal counsel and was given this law office. What a mistake. He took on my case and ended up taking it to a pre-trial and got me the same deal I would have gotten if I went ahead and did this on my own. Worse case as well is that I can’t do anything about it. No lawyer says I can reopen this case, what’s done is done. I have family members who are an involved in law practice and they say that there were injustices in the way that he handled it but the biggest injustice here is that if he knew he couldn’t fight the case he should have never even taken it. He took my money and my emotional energy as well. I felt uncared for throughout the process, I’ve never even spoken to the attorney, only the secretaries. Even after I called multiple times with worries I had, they should have allowed the attorney to speak with me, but instead they gave no offer and I just felt extremely uncared for as an individual. Almost as if I was just a number to them. Not a human being. I sent a long email regarding the entire story of this case, which I was technically supposed to send to the secretaries only, but I found his email and sent it him directly, then carbon copied the secretaries. I told him what I needed for the trial, detailed so much of my concerns, and what I absolutely could not have happen as an outcome of the trial and LITERALLY all I received was an “ok, thank you”. Nothing else. And then he proceeded to take it to trial and get me exactly what I told him I absolutely couldn’t have happen. It makes me sick. I see real law practice within my family, taking DUI calls on Saturday and Sunday morning, telling these worried people how it’s going to be ok and that he’s going to help him take care of it. That’s real hard work and real leadership. Not this circus that took place at Yemc Law Offices.

Doug and Derek both helped me when I couldn't find any other attorney to work with me financially he helped prior to my court date with getting a warrant set aside. Then to my surprise Doug literally showed up to my court date without any advanced notice as I was filling out for a public defender and represented me got everything handled within the first court date and the charges are due to be dismissed and sealed, I owe it all to Funkhowser Law. Andrew helped me with a divorce and a later custody issue. He's a straight-shooter that tries his best to actually resolve the issue as quickly as possible with the best outcome for everyone involved. He also does his best to try to keep things from spiraling into unnecessary tangents and side-issues in the case and keep everyone focused on getting a resolution.
I also like that he's direct and blunt - he'll let you know if you're making things worse for yourself and help you get back on track.
But - above all - he actually cares about his clients and the process - I never had to worry about him missing court dates or deadlines or turning in half-baked motions or written responses. He always checked in with me before anything important was happening and always made sure I was aware of everything that was happening through the process.
I'm hoping that I never have to use his services again, but I'm happy he's just a phone call away if I do.

Doesn't matter how important your case or the timeline. You can wait two months for them to never contact you, despite contacting them multiple times, and lose your court case, or you can go elsewhere. There's nice reviews from years ago. Apparently they fell off.

My mortgage company used this group to close on my refi. Worst legal group ever, I've called at least 15 times over the last 2 days not a single answer. Left multiple voicemails and not a single return call. USPS lost a creditor check to pay off account and I can't get in touch with anyone to stop payment and re-issue. A joke of a legal group.

I live out of state and had multiple traffic related violations with a bench warrant that needed to be resolved. I was able to speak with Douglass within 2 hours of contacting his firm. He was polite, professional, and took the time to gather the details. Most importantly, he must have connections and great skill in practicing law. He not only had the bench warrant lifted, but had my case dismissed in 36 hours. A huge thank you to his entire team. I hired Mr. Riddell for an OVI ticket and might as well represented myself. My case felt as if he was managing me through a process created in favor of the prosecutor and judge who basically was prosecuting from the bench. I have the right to face my accuser and many times was denied this right and he didn't fight for it. I was repeatedly asked by him to wait in the hallway for every appearance barring the last. In the end, I was given excessive punishment as part of a plea deal that you wouldn't even get risking a public defender. The punishment rendered was far outside of what is prescribed by law with maximum penalties imposed.

I was pulled over and charged with OVI in Licking County. We hired Roger to handle my case.
The night of the incident, I had one beer 2.5 hours prior to leaving. I was driving my husband's pickup truck and drove on the white lines while I was trying to find the cruise control. I was pulled over and asked to do the field sobriety test. I did what was asked of me and believed to have passed the tests. The cop believed I did not pass the tests, and placed me under arrest. There were several things that we believed that the cop did incorrectly- incomplete directions during the test, searching my person (male cop), saying he smelled alcohol when there was no smell, etc. He asked me to do a breath test, and I declined, due to the law that states it is the cop’s discretion to charge you even if you blow a 0.01. The cop ultimately ended up breath testing my husband, who had nothing to lose since he was a passenger in the vehicle. My husband blew a 0.00, and drove us home.
Licking County has zero tolerance when it comes to OVI’s, so they either drop it or go to trial. We went to trial and Roger believed we had a good case. If I was found guilty, I was looking at a minimum of 10 days in jail, along with fines and whatever else the judge may require. Roger and his colleague Josh did a great job during the trial and the outcome was a hung jury. I was not charged and we believed the whole ordeal to be over.
A few weeks later, we received news that they wanted to have a re-trial. Roger and Josh were very prepared for the re-trial and did an outstanding job. Every single jury member voted Not Guilty and I was not charged.
From the date of the incident to the completion of the re-trial, the timeline was about 1 year. During this time, I was completely stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed with what the outcome could be. We received the best outcome that we could have asked for, and I am so thankful for and appreciative of Roger and Josh, and the time and work that they put into my case.

Appointed to handle an appeal in a smaller town I was shocked when this man responded to my correspondence. I had one court use another courts decision as justification to ”kidnap” my child & I couldn’t be more grateful for the blatant disregard to justice than I am now.... I wish he had his feet wet with more than criminal defense though, I could use his help in more than one area.

My attorney Tamas tabor was able to have my warrant set aside without me being booked into jail which was a great advantage of proving my innocence while being able to work and continue with normal daily life activities. From the very beginning he was very knowledgeable, transparent, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. If you’re looking for an attorney who gets results then tamas tabor is who you want on your side.
After my case concluded I later had some additional questions and he promptly followed up with me and answered every question and concern I had. Very bad attorney. Hired him 8 months before court. First court appearance he tells judge, “I haven’t had time to look over the case can we get another date”. He gets it. Every time I talked to him he would said “we have a good case”, and would never really talk to me about it. He would say, “you don’t question a pilot about flying a plane, well this is my plane”. Fast forward or the weekend before trial. He starts asking me questions that he should have asked months ago. He didn’t know the names of the witnesses we were suppose to use. He didn’t know the witnesses the other side had. Court date comes, right before they start he goes in the back with the judge and the other side. He comes out saying, “we are going to lose. You need to take this deal or you will get double.” How do you goto court with a lawyer that tells you that he can’t win after months of saying how good he is in court and how good the case is. DO NOT TRUST YOUR LIFE TO THIS FRAUD OF A LAWYER.
