I hired Karen to represent me in my divorce case. I was treated very well by Karen's staff and especially by Karen, herself. Karen explained the processes to me very clearly and I always felt very informed of what was going on in the case. We met some contention toward the end of the case by the other party, and Karen demonstrated a mastery of the law and guided me to better results than I'd even hoped for. Karen provided consultation services to me over 15 years ago and was amazing. She was helpful, very patient and kind during my legal proceedings. In 2012 I went back to Karen for legal assistance. She was unavilable for my court date but provided me with a list of attorney's she would recommend, but she was always available if I needed her help with any of the issues with my case. I retained a different firm and regret it completely. Once the divorce was over and the other firm substituted out of my case, I retained Karen for the custody issues. Karen and her staff are easy to talk to, reliable and very knowledgable about Family Law. Karen has always been fair, not just to me but to both parties, ensuring the children are the number one priority in the case.

I found Douglas Weitzman on Avvo related to my real estate dispute. Weeks after signing the P&S the buyers attempted to cancel the contract using the ‘inspection contingency’ as their stated basis—and wanted to back out—but I thought ‘changing their minds’ was not a valid reason to cancel the contract since I provided the buyers with a full disclosure—which described in detail all the current conditions of the property. The buyers commissioned their own inspection report—and the conditions identified in the buyers’ inspection report were the same conditions identified in my disclosure—revealing nothing new—as there were no repairs needed.
Despite this—the buyers exercised their 'inspection contingency' within the 10-day inspection period, during which time the buyer is allowed to have the property inspected to reveal any potential issues that could 'void' the contract. Despite the fact that there 'weren't any' new unsatisfactory conditions on the property—the 'inspection contingency' is obviously a scapegoat that buyers can use to back out of a deal.
Weitzman asked me if I issued a 'notice to perform'—a real estate tool designed to make buyers stick to agreed-upon deadlines that are defined in the real estate purchase agreement—issuing a notice typically gives the buyer 48 hours to remedy the situation at hand—if the buyer has still failed to comply with the agreed-upon action, the seller can keep the earnest money deposit in some cases.
Thus, we learn that the buyers have 'no obligation' to buy until they notify sellers that all contingencies are satisfied. Weitzman gave me a free consultation and in turn helped me define the 'notice to perform' and how to use it—which can be advantageous to both buyers and sellers in the California residential purchase agreement. In this case, I am not at the 'distinct advantage' of issuing the Notice to Perform.

Oliver is an excellent trustworthy attorney who is willing to help people out and is pro family. Unlike an other attorney that was appointed by the court (C.d.C), who is all about taking children from families. He is not that kind of person. Mr. Weir stepped in under difficult circumstances and quickly accessed my case, which was very complex. He provided excellent advice, kept his hours/charges reasonable and was able to bring my case to settlement via mediation instead of litigation. This minimized the time and cost to me. I went through a different attorney to create an Irrevocable trust to do what I thought was Medi-cal planning.
After about 8500 in hourly charges for this and that I was still without Medi-cal eligibility and without the support I needed to do it on my own. A social worker at Interim referred me to Mr. Philip Flanigan and said that she and others there in her office refer clients to him- that his office processes Medi-cal fast. I was happy she did. His staff was super sweet and they were so very accommodating *despite my overstressed nature*. When we got the notification from their staff that mom became eligible- I cant put into words how relieved I was. My regret is not going to Mr. Philip Flanigan first. I will be writing a negative review for the initial attorney. I recommend to anyone out there looking for an attorney with knowledge, experience, and a great staff that will walk you through to the end-- see Philip! He has been a life saver and I cant say enough how thankful I am to have been given his name. Thank you Philip and Staff!

A few years ago I realized I didn’t own all of my driveway. I contacted Jordan for help. I felt I had a good case to at least obtain an easement for the portion of my driveway I had been using since I bought my home in 1987. An easement is an easement but with Jordan’s expertise I was able to negotiate a deal with the vested owner and obtain fee title for my driveway I’m for ever grateful to Jordan and would highly recommend him!!!

We couldn't ask for more in terms of service, advice, cost, and flexibility. We had a trust and other documents that were 14 years old. Of course, things had changed dramatically for our family, including grandchildren. And, we honestly didn't understand our dated documents. We found Hannah through Yelp. She was highly rated. And, her military service, education, and community service sealed the deal in terms of contacting her.
We scheduled our free consultation and brought with us all of our documents. We spent well over an hour with Hannah where we discussed our concerns, asked a lot of questions, and received answers that we could actually understand. At the conclusion of the session, we felt very comfortable that Hannah was the right lawyer to help us update our documents.
We learned about how the laws had changed and Hannah reviewed all of our documents and also advised us on which assets should be included in the trust. She provided us with several alternatives for achieving our goals. She then committed to a timeframe when the updated documents would be ready for review.
We had several email exchanges during the course of her updating the documents. And, once she delivered draft documents to us, we changed our minds in several areas and we provided Hannah with our requested changes. We fully expected her to request additional monies and made that offer, but she declined to increase the bill.
Once the final documents were completed, we met in her office with her notary and signed all of the documents. And, she was patient in answering a few more last minute questions/clarifications.
Without hesitation, I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing legal services. She is personable, smart, patient, flexible, and reasonable. Why would you want to go to anyone else when Hannah can meet and exceed your expectations?

I saw Gena after a negative experience with another lawyer who overcharged me, convinced me, with insufficient explanation, to draw up a trust that was not practical for me, and then shunted me off to his lackeys. So I was on high alert when I first met with Gena. But what a pleasant surprise! Gena is knowledgable and will spend a full two hours or more with you on your first visit to learn about your situation and your needs, and to answer whatever question you have. If you propose alternative viewpoints, she considers them thoughtfully and points out your options. She does all the follow-up meetings and discussions herself, and she has innovative and creative ideas. Plus, she is just a nice, interesting, and thoughtful person! (She makes her own jewelry by the way--check it out!) I highly recommend her!

Craig amended my current will and trust. He asked specific details and questions in regards to my document changes. He let me know about the "Letter of Intention" which I have not heard of previously from this law firm. This document makes it easier for executor of trust to distribute personal items to family and friends. Less stress and decision making for all which is a peace of mind.

After retiring from being a State lawyer, when I opened up my small custom corset and wedding dress business in 1990, I chose Steve for my business attorney dealing with intellectual property and contract matters, such as obtaining a service mark for my business name, and avoiding litigation by a disgruntled, irrational supplier. Later I also chose him for my personal estate attorney and have consulted with him on multiple occasions over the past 26 years. He has assisted me not only with these legal matters but also represented me in an unlawful detainer to remove a non-rent paying tenant. I always feel Steve is on my side. He assisted me come to a rational response despite my emotions regarding a disrupted relationship with my sister who at the time was Executor of my Georgia-based mother's will. I also had to hire a Georgia lawyer when my mother passed. That lawyer merely did what I asked, was slow to respond to my questions on Georgia law, never answered some questions, and in the midst of much emotional family turmoil, without reason threatened to quit. I was appalled. Steve can manage the emotions that come with legal matters and accomplish what you want but without rushing to litigation.
