When my case started, I was in a terrible place. My son was being abused and his father was blocking me from getting him medical care and mental health treatment from my husbands abusive behavior and alcoholism. I had been separated for a long time and filed for divorce once on my own but my husband wouldn’t give me the information I needed to finalize so the case was dismissed. I was hopeless and lost. I talked to Billie and she immediately knew what to do. Using the medical records we got an order of Protection. And emergency orders. Now I could get my son treatment and his dad couldn’t touch him or see him. We used sober link and supervised visits. We worked with a counselor. I got more child support than ever. This was the scariest time in my life and modern law handled it. It wasn’t fast but it was safe and they made it easy. The best part was in trial. You should have seen my ex’s face when Billie was cross examining him. She made him look so bad and exposed him for the jerk he is. I have never felt so protected or understood. My kids and I are doing better than ever. Billie, Jen, Caitlin and everyone at modern law truly changed my life and I and my kids are forever grateful. ❤️❤️❤️

I am at the beginning of a long dreadful and what I felt like was a very complicated case to me. My attorney in just a couple visits and communication has changed my perspective on how I look at this challenging important matter. He let me know that there is an end in sight and my case is very typical and they deal with Similar cases everyday. I realized the reality and simplicity of my situation BECAUSE they took on our family court case. I can't literally wait for this to be put behind us but as my other attorney, Billie T. said that she believed that there is a great chance to have a good resolution. And I have been planning to have her and her law firm and team represent me for five years now. My first consult was after trial. Billie was simply honest with her answer and straight up gave me nothing but legal advice and FACTS. I consulted with several firms and attorneys... none were fit or right for my case because they made my case out to be as if it were impossible. (Which it is and was a high conflict case unfortunately) 2020 AND Finally a light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the Modern Law team I have worked with thus far. Lastly, I want to say how incredible my paperwork was worded and prepared... it is to the point, no nonsense while being clear and concise not to mention the kindness and compassion from everyone you come across on this team. Definitely priceless and very grateful. Thank you Billie and modern law for being simply open and honest from the get go.

Modern Law is the best law firm hands down and I would highly recommend them over anyone else. I have spent 8 years fighting for my son and have been represented by 2 attorneys at Modern Law. They all have their specialties, what they excel at, and have been instrumental in my obtaining equal parenting time with my son. Billie Tarascio and Darin Colburn are the attorneys I have had the pleasure of working with. Billie handled my out of state parenting plan like a true professional and was able to get me more weeks than is typical, and I can’t thank her enough for that. Darin handled my equal parenting plan upon my return to Arizona and was calm, cool and collected and able to help me stay that way as well. Billie and Darin dealt with all the curveballs and not so ethical moves made by my ex and her attorneys and through it all was able to get me just what I wanted, equal parenting time. Billie and Darin possess a high moral fiber which is what sets them apart from the rest. They can get you the results your looking for without sinking to the level of whom they are up against, or having their own ethics called into question; which, let’s face it, that’s what most lawyers are known for. NOT this firm though. Modern Law is so successful and sought after because of their core values and moral high ground. Thank you, truly, for everything you have done for my son.

Jared is very good attorney. He is rationale and calm but also a beast when it comes to drafting motions and pleadings. His billing is reasonable and you are not overcharged for anything.

I had an extremely complicated case. My kids were visiting ( I had summer visitation) and they reported abuse and neglect to me and their step mom. Jared walked me calmly through every step of the process. Was honest and upfront about everything. Gave me options every step of the way. Not only did Jared get the finding of Arizona having jurisdiction (an amazing feet for those of you who understand this situation), but I ended up with full physical and legal custody of my children in the end thanks to his expert legal knowledge. Most importantly, Jared helped me make my kids safe! If you need a lawyer for family law, and you don't hire this guy, your making a mistake. Thank you again Jared from my family to yours. We were being sued. Tim, Roger and Kristina were a great team. Tim wrote a letter to the other Attorney for the plaintiff and made it clear it would hurt their case to sue us. My Attourney’s were aggressive and the cost was very reasonable. The team took care of this in 4 weeks. I will provide this law group to anyone needing a good firm! First off I want to start off by saying Stefano was the 3rd attorney we hired for our case so keep that in mind when you think about how much clean up he had to do from the other two attorneys mistakes. I am normally not one to say anything negative about other but when it come to your family, choosing a family law attorney is so crucial and can really effect the future of The ones you hold closest to your heart! I CAN NOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH! please do your research! Had it not been for Stefano we would have never seen our granddaughter again! We raised her since the day she was born until just 2 months shy of 6 years old. Some may say this should have been a easy case but after what our first two attorneys created on top of our granddaughter being moved out of state it was a very detailed case that had to have a massive amount of detailed oriented attention. I come from a family of attorneys though they are all out of state so finding an attorney that did the job to my expectations was I would say hard to find but we found him! I can say with all my heart I truly felt like family had my back! That he was my family fighting for what he knew was right! Another thing I want to point out to whom ever is reading this when you have a good attorney you will understand the saying “don’t stress, your attorney will do the rest” there are so many things in family cases that you can not shut off emotions too. It is just impossible, it’s your family! Your kids, your grandkids, your wife, your husband and so on. So the key is to find an attorney who you feel peace and comfort with that you can trust! We as a family found that in Stefano! He did all he could to take every precaution to protect us along with Save as the max amount of money like I said I truly feel like my brother was standing there as my attorney! You can’t get better then that, you really can’t! We got more then what we had originally even asked for and how he did it protect us all for future relationships. Family law is hard it is crappy no matter what the case is! You see sides of people you could never imagine even have. Stefano reminds you of that keeps you humble and truly looks at all angles so you can have a clear picture of what you want long term and short term. All I Can say is if it wasn’t for Stefano and who he is as and attorney and as a man our family wouldn’t be in the place we are! I am on of the biggest mamma bears out there and he passes my approval with flying colors! I know this is just one review but we heard about Steffano from another friend who had all odds against him so that’s why went to that close friend because I knew whoever won his case I would give a chance to look my case! I hired Glazer Law firm in 2016 and they were extremely communicative, punctual, and helpful. Now, in 2024, I needed court records but no longer live locally. Even though it's been 8 years since I was a client, Melissa went above and beyond to help me get the paperwork in a timely matter. I'm so grateful she was willing to take the time to get the documents from the court and also send them to me via priority mail, all pro bono. I want to be clear, the 5 stars i chose to grade is specifically for the work of one person only and that’s Chenique Smith! Chenique is the only person in this firm who treated me and my mother with thoughtfulness, professionalism and respect. If the words Cook Law weren’t next to her name i would swear i was dealing with my best friend or a close family member. She definitely made my mother and i feel important. Chenique paid close attention to detail and was timely in her response to our messages while remaining proactive in getting things done, whereas others simply made us feel forgotten. I hope Chenique is paid her worth because she definitely is keeping that office afloat.

This is one of those firms that does a "bait and switch". I hired them to set up my LLC and they did that, so that's great, but I had additional questions, as it relates to what I paid them to do, to understand it and what my next steps are (like do I have to file something with my local state), with no answers and having to pay an hourly rate to get those questions asked. I will no longer use their services for anything further and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Stephanie helped me out in divorcing after I had left the United States, since her first meeting I was able to explain everything throughly. Here team was also great in providing updates of the progress, she also had a plan b towards my situation if the first option failed. She made clear deadlines and never once promise something she was not going to able to do. We worked with Patricia Lenzner over the course of the last three years on a very complicated family case. Ms. Lenzner was our saving grace in this case. She immersed herself fully in every aspect of our case, and by final trial time knew it just as well as we did. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and made all the difference in our very convoluted situation. She was quick, thoughtful, incredibly intelligent, and completely honest at every twist and turn. She has a complete and thorough understanding of everything that goes on in the family court system, and is very forthcoming about what can and can’t be done. She works harder than any attorney I have ever met, and I would give her more stars if Google would let me.

My husband was suffering with mental illness, and had been diagnosed with dementia on top of that. He was a brilliant man, and at this time of his life, had taken action to meet with this lawyer( Patricia Lenzner, Owens & Perkins) - regarding "divorce" when we had an argument (he had totaled a car, gave me his license, and then - dementia and memory loss - wanted it back a month later, and I refused to give it to him). He actually filed and gave a deposit, then changed his mind 2 days later. 48 hours. This dishonest attorney, went ahead and filed anyway, after he had cancelled - causing distress to both my husband and me, as well as significant financial loss. I can only surmise, she wanted her money, rather than doing the right thing. When she called me to tell me, I asked "how can you in good conscience do this, if he's been diagnosed with two mental imbalances, bipolar one and dementia"? Facts regarding his health did not matter to her. He suffered, tremendously, and so did our family. He recently passed on. I have intended to write this honest review, to warn good people to seek counsel elsewhere.

Shelley was an amazing advocate during my divorce, and when the time came for post-decree enforcement for parenting time, the choice was a no-brainer. I had an EXTREMELY complicated case which took years of litigation and included multiple professionals digging into every part of my life. Shelley was there every step of the way, helping to make sure that the truth finally came out. Shelley provided excellent counsel throughout the worst time in my family's life, helped us get through some immense uphill battles, and was truly a partner to help me keep legal costs down while providing top-notch advice. She helped me demonstrate how the fabricated claims against me were provably false, and every time the other side switched tactics, she helped me figure out how to respond. Throughout the entire ordeal, Shelley was focused on presenting the truth with integrity, and helped me make sure not to make mis-steps along the way. Family law can be very unintuitive, and Shelley helped me avoid pitfalls along the way to ensure I was able to protect my kids. My children suffered significant abuse from my ex and Shelley helped me prove the abuse and alienation to the court, ultimately resulting in them being placed with me full-time, as well as a no-contact order and significant financial judgements against my ex. It was the best and healthiest possible outcome for the kids in a situation where it seemed like there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Shelley made herself available when emergencies came up, always gave valuable advice, worked hard to keep my costs as low as possible, and provided me with all of the options so that I was in the drivers seat with her valuable experience and knowledge guiding the way. My kids are finally recovering from the abuse that they've gone through, and so am I. We would not be here without Shelley's exceptional support, expertise, integrity, and flexibility. If you find yourself in the terrible situation of having an ex who is alienating your kids and making false claims about you, it will be a long, hard journey but it DOES get better. Don't put it off or wait for things to get worse. Don't stoop to their level and try to even the score. Get started on making things better right away. Shelley truly saved my family and I cannot recommend her enough.

I had a good experience with Phoenix accident and injury law firm. I was afraid at first to get a lawyer because of my past experiences. But they put me at ease they kept me up to date with everything. They care about their clients. If you have a question they're there to answer it, if you have concerns they're there to listen. In the end when it was time to settle they came to me and did nothing until I said yes or no. They made me feel like I was a person and that what I had to say matter to them.
