Al Fiore has been our family attorney since I needed his services in the "90's" for a divorce. He stuck with us through the entire process which took much longer than anticipated. Matthew took my case last minute he heard me out was patient and I promise you I had to wait years for justice to be finally heard before I met Matthew. Matthew Sheasby is nothing short of amazing. I was so scared to get out of my marriage and he not only got me out, he had my back every single step of the way. I was involved in a very contentious divorce with quite a few moving parts. I worked a lot with Jean Kim and Steven Fernandez. Both Jean and Steven were always professional, extremely helpful and empathetic throughout the case.

I don’t know where I would be without Steve Fernandez. This is not merely a review- some suggestion that endorses the services of Fernandez and Karney. This is more of a testament of gratitude for what he did for me.
First things first: the work of Steve Fernandez is excellent. He is a professional in the highest sense of the word. He obviously has a deep nuanced understanding of family law. He is beyond competent. All of his work was precise, swift, timely, and thorough.
But the true zeal beneath this review comes from the humanity in the way Steve treated me.
When I met Steve Fernandez my life was not in a good place. It is now. I have my life back, and, for the first time in a bit, the future looks bright and exciting. Steve Fernandez gave me a fresh start, brought order back to my life, and stood up for me when no one else would.
And that is the real reason I write this. My life was flipped upside down in the span of a day. My absorbantly wealthy wife used all of the powers at her disposal to bully me and make my life as difficult as possible. It was a daunting situation. But Steve kept me poised, sane, and confident that the way I was being treated was not only immoral, but not legal either. He was right.
So he stood up for me when no one else would. When all other avenues of help disappeared Steve was there- calm, intelligent, a guiding light through the tumultuous and complex process of divorce.

Free advice : Before filing for custody, select your attorney wisely, choose a firm with a strong foundation. Hopefully this helps. Had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, none of this would have happened, had I not hired him I would have never seen our child again as I had come to his firm unable to speak and broken. I'll explain. I am a thirty eight year old man who loves his daughter dearly. I've had a smorgasbord of Family Law Specialist, JNE Commission, overpriced Avvo 10's. Not all of them were to blame for the original event that turned the child custody case that I filed in Los Angeles into a fabricated Hemet case, built by design for over-litigated fee churning fraud... However, said attorneys sure were lazy for the money and were happy to turn a blind eye to the blatant fraud and corruption, while simultaneously extrapolating from me every single penny. Steven Fernandez, who's name is on the letterhead of this firm, was the first person to put the wellbeing of myself and our child ahead of easy money and Steven has done a better job than every single other firm combined. He has earned every single dollar and then some. Fraud, perjury, corruption, stalking, extortion, legal kidnapping, private investigators, investigative journalists, you name it, from Malibu to Hemet, we have been through it. Again, had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, absolutely none of this would have happened. Steve has the guts and good nature to run a deep roster of gifted professionals. Steven is smart, ethical and everything that one would hope their own children would grow up to be. Every attorney at this firm is a consummate professional and gifted in their own right. I believe the latter is a prerequisite for being employed by Steven, as Mr. Fernandez is highly intelligent, yet still he is a respectable humble man. Steven and his firm are hands down some of the most compassionate skilled litigators alive and excellent human beings.

Divorcing a narcissist is extremely hard, especially in a high conflict divorce and when attorneys smell assets and money. Prior to retaining Ms. Niedens, I had worked with 4 attorneys. Unfortunately, I did not feel like I had proper guidance and/or tangible representation with any of them. I felt as I was just a milking cow for all attorneys. I also felt oppressed and that there is no fairness for men in California. My first attorney was horrible and not trustworthy. The second was unable to handle my ex’s attorney who is aggressive and used unethical tactics. The third wanted me to, simply, bend over and give up on everything, and the fourth was too busy with many other cases - nothing was done other than billing me for communicating my ex’s demands. My divorce was lengthy, toxic, and very expensive.
Backward 9 years ago, when I initiated my divorce, I contacted numerous law offices including Ms. Niedens office. Even though my intuition and gut instincts were telling me to retain Ms. Niedens, I went with the shiny attorneys who have glowing reviews and prestigious offices thinking they would provide the best legal representation for me. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I MADE WHICH I WILL ALWAYS REGRET. After years of being milked by the attorneys and my ex with no results, I decided to go with my initial gut feeling…I went back to Ms. Niedens begging her to take my case. After accepting my case, Ms. Niedens developed a legal strategy and explained it to me in a simple way. Shortly thereafter, I started hearing the hits on the big drum. I started seeing results. For the first time in years, I felt that justice and fairness can be accomplished in California. I felt that my best interests and legal rights are being supported and protected. I now realize that justice comes with evidence and the ability of the attorney to know the law and provide zealous representation. During my journey with Ms. Niedens, she acted like a navigator who drove while reading the map. She knew exactly when it was better to take the bus instead of the bike. Now that my case is into closure, I can confidently attest to her skills, knowledge, and expertise. Ms. Niedens is a highly competent attorney, and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable, and very professional. She is sincere, confidant, sharp, truly genuine, fair, and tough. I filed for divorce by myself and for years attempted to navigate the court system myself through the divorce and subsequent custody battle with the help of the self-help services at the courthouse. Finally after being beyond frustrated with my ex's continued delay and manipulation I hired Marsha to represent me. She not only secured a great custody plan, but came back again this year to keep it in place. She is prompt in her response, always available via phone or email, and so caring. She's wonderful to talk to, she really gets it and her attention to detail is amazing. I truly don't know how I ever tried to deal with all of this on my own. I feel so much better knowing that I have someone that not only knows the language but is also a human who understands the impact of all of this on my children. I won't step in to the courtroom without her again. Don't waste your time thinking that you can handle your case on your own. I lost weeks and months of my life trying to learn the court language and defend myself without the proper representation. I would recommend her to anyone needing help with divorce, custody or child support.

I have been with Ms. Hubbell as my family attorney since November 2003 up to present. Ms. Hubbell is an ethical attorney who responds to my concerns and needs very promptly and effectively, especially during crises. My case consisted of complicated asset division and long, bitter custodial battle. During one court date, Ms. Hubbell was very compelling in every stage. Because of her effectiveness, I had a favorable outcome for the case, which included having the other party pay for my attorney fee. I was fortunate to have Ms. Hubbell, a good communicator who strives for the best results for her client, represent my case. Overall, I am very happy with her work and her care. Karen Hubbell provided my husband and I with excellent legal support in finalizing some lingering issues from his previous marriage. I wish he had gone to Karen from the beginning, instead of using a mediator. So many people wanting an amicable divorce shy away from hiring a lawyer, fearing that it will lead to a court battle or cost a ton of money. However, when you have financial entanglements and children involved, it is imperative to seek help from a lawyer who knows the ins and outs of the legal system and can get it done right - the first time around. We found Karen to be very straightforward and understanding of the approach we wanted to take in getting matters resolved. With her help, we were able to finally lay to rest the custody schedule and financial issues that had been dragging on unresolved for three years after his divorce. I only wish we had gone to her sooner. If we ever have any future issues, Karen Hubbell will be the first person we call.

Going through a divorce can be emotionally draining. However, with Ben as my attorney handling everything superbly, I was able to focus on being a mom to my 3 children.

I had to endure a three year divorce process and learned a lot from it. First and mainly, I should have retained John "Ben" Phillips first off. I had three attorneys prior to retaining Ben and if you combined all three prior attorneys as a team, they could even come close to Ben's expertise in family law matters. The difference between an attorney and a great attorney is a great attorney can get the job done quickly.
Ben is highly organized and he knows the law regarding divorce, child custody and all other aspects of family law. Ben is a great negotiator as well as a great listener. His handling of the division of community assets and child custody issues in my divorce case left me great satisfaction. My retirement funds were a huge concern of mine and through Ben's negotiating skills, provided me with more than favorable results.
No one likes to go through a messy, complicated and emotional divorce. From my experience, I can tell you do not throw money away by just hiring an attorney(s). Retain the best attorney possible you can from the get-go who will work and fight for you with professionalism. I highly recommend Ben Phillips as absolutely the best family law attorney out there. If you are looking for an attorney who is extremely smart, competent, effective, fair in billing, and empathic to your situation, then Ben is a great choice for your attorney. My divorce was complicated and my ex wanted to fight. Ben was able to keep the focus on the facts and keep track of the vast quantities of paper and rabbit trails that the other side created. He was quite organized and retained the relevant information such that when we finally did get to court, he knew exactly where to go to get the pertinent information/numbers. He did not allow the other side to "bully" me, which in fact they tried. I highly recommend Ben as an excellent lawyer who can handle just about anyone. By the way, don't be misled by his nice smile, young appearance and 6 years in practice... He is smart and he is a fighter!

Mr. Katz handled two legal matters on my behalf. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and worked, as much as he reasonably could, within my personal, financial parameters.
I was looking at several felony violations.....today, I received confirmation that my original guilty plea was changed to "not guilty," and all charges were dropped.

After having a legal matter pending for 8 years , having tried out 2 pricey attorneys before Douglas , I had lost faith that i would be able to get my matter resolved. I was an international student at the time i was charged with 2 counts of felony and due to unfortunate circumstances had to leave the country before being able to resolve my case.
My co-defendant introduced me to Douglas who never gave me any unreal expectations and gave it to me as real as possible , my previous attorney that I had retained from overseas wasnt even able to get hearing date saying “its a catch 22 you need to be here” . Not only was Douglas able to get the ball rolling he was able to contact the people who pressed charges , come up with a deal , and get the charges dismissed completely.
Till this day I remember i was in utter disbelief when i got the short and to the point email saying “Good news your case has been dismissed” . 8 years worth of emotional and financial stress had come to an end only thanks to Douglas .

My name is Omar ,
On October, 2016 I got a DUI , I was very worried and scared because I’ve never had any prior history on my record. I had no idea where to start. The day after I got my DUI I called so many attorneys and Among them, Natalia Matusik was the only person I truly felt very comfortable with to handle my case.
A few days later she took my case and I Can’t be more happy and thankful of the outcome and all her valuable help. She represented me in a courteous and professional way.
She was very informative,cooperative and reachable via phone, text, e-mail and even person to person at all time. She met with me to study my case and to inform me of all my rights and responsibilities. Then she examined all possible outcomes and informed me of ways to fight my case in court.
A few months later she managed to reached an agreement with the District attorney and the judge to downgrade my criminal charges to what might have been a DUI into a Dry Reckless charge.

Retaining Ms. Natalia Matusik Law is the best choice I ever made. A rarity in a city filled with super attorney's who bill for filing paper from one side of their desk to the other.

Michael Quade and team are the only lawyers in San Diego you should be contacting if you have an insurance claim. Our home incurred major structural damage due to a fire in 2009. Our insurance company had a different take on the matter and refused to pay what we needed to make the repairs. Our litigation was a long process and we believe other attorneys would have told us to “give up” and move on. Not Mike. He was there every step of the way. And we had a good result. His team is incredibly thorough –not a detail was overlooked (which can easily happen with a big lawsuit). When it came time to prepare for trial, he did his homework and no stone was left unturned. I needed an attorney to assist with a pseudo-domestic issue and Ashley was extremely professional, diligent, and helped to keep the costs down as well. I found Mr. Tierney using Yelp. His reviews were excellent. He wrote a contract for my wife and I on a construction project. We have also used Mr. Tierney for several cases related to rental properties (evictions). He was very reasonable with his fees and extremely knowledgable. During the last five years, I have been in a custody battle with my ex-husband. My ex was pretty much an absentee father for the first seven years of our child's life, and only came back into her life when she got Leukemia. During this time, my ex decided to get re-married to someone he met after returning to Sacramento. My child was mentally, emotionally, and physically abused by my ex and his new wife.
My ex-husband left the military (approximately two years after re-entering our daughter’s life), and decided to take me to court to get his child support lowered and attempt to obtain custody of our daughter. During this time, he lied and attempted to hide the fact he had a severance pay equal to his yearly salary, and was receiving unemployment at the same time. My ex spent the money on home improvements and furniture for him, his wife, and stepchild, instead of saving the money to pay his monthly child support.
Because my ex-husband was in the military, and had never been in trouble with the law, owned a home, and had a new spouse at home, he looked like a great guy on paper. Meanwhile, I am a single mother who was living in an apartment at the time, working full time, and earning my degree, so my ex thought he would look like a better caregiver for our daughter.
My ex hired an attorney with over 35 years of Family court experience, with a specialty in fighting for a father’s parental rights, and I was Mr. Culbreath’s first Family Law case. Thanks to Mr. Culbreath's legal ingenuity, my ex was not able to hide his income and assets, and was ordered to pay a higher amount of child support than he did before he left the military.

Called in to get a consult on a business dispute, and having already contacted several attorneys, I was expecting the same pitch...to make an appointment and go there and get very little information for a lot of money. Instead, even though the attorney was in the middle of something, he set aside time to take my call and answered every question that I had without charging a penny. It really put me at ease. I got more info during that half hour than the prior week visiting a dozen other lawyers. He made some good suggestions which I tried and helped a lot, so I was able to get it taken care of without spending anything. I found Ernest from Yelp since I see many consistent good reviews about him. I took the courage to give it a shot and call him in addition to another 2 lawyers to help me with a eviction case recently. I had a very bad experience with another greedy lawyer in Sacramento regarding tenant issues. So I am very hesitant to seek help from another one. Ernest, however, is not the cheapest attorney of the three but he gave me the most thorough and informative advice even before he took on my case over the phone. He clearly was able to think from my situation. In past two months, despite my small case of eviction, he has been very patient and responsive to my so many questions. His advice is very succinct, accurate and informative. He truly lives up to his promise to help me overcome the problem. I feel that he genuinely thought from my perspectives and best interest . I have been very well informed by him throughout the whole process what my options are. He would not take advantage of my vulnerable situation and my determination to evict the bad tenant by talking me into more expensive options. He is truly a very good lawyer who really wants to help. Had a problem with a lawsuit. Most lawyers don't take cases halfway though, but they did. Looked around on the Internet and found this law office. The main lawyer Chen there seems pretty busy and has cases in court all the time (I guess so if everyone is trying to hire him) but still got back to me each time and seems pretty smart. I like that he told me about different strategies to see if any of them would help me before I signed up, while other places just kind of kept to themselves so I didn't know what they could do for me. Staff are pretty helpful and really really nice folks. Their prices were a lot less than other lawyers and did not charge any of the nickel and dime stuff like making copies or paperclips like the other place that I used. Really good experience considering I was having legal troubles, but I guess that's what lawyers are for. Will definitely say they are in my top referral.

Two years ago I was seriously rear ended on the freeway and my neck and shoulder took the majority of impact. After the accident I sought out legal counsel with 3 attorneys. I was referred to The Law Collaborative (TLC) by a colleague. TLC promotes negotiation and mediation over expensive court battles. I support this approach to navigating the emotionally difficult seas of family law, and wanted to be able to rely upon the skills of the attorneys at TLC to help manage the hostility I expected to face as I made public the facts about my ex-husband. From the first time I met Ty Supancic I was impressed by his intelligence, honesty, kindness, and good-natured personality. After we discussed and evaluated my options, I chose to pursue a nullity. A divorce would have been an easier and cheaper route for me to take. However, divorces only allow one to state “irreconcilable differences” as the reasons for the death of the marriage. Since this was not an accurate depiction of the facts, I decided to file for a nullity. From the start I was advised that obtaining a nullity would be a challenge. A nullity enables one to outline the chronology of events and list the specific causes (and explain why one party is at fault) for the end of the marriage, and thus allows one to present a more comprehensive case to the court. However, judges still very rarely grant them. It was clear to me that we were facing an uphill battle. However, I felt confident that I was in good hands with Ty as my representative and advocate. Mr. Supancic wrote our prenup and my husband and I swear it is one of the reasons we have such a good marriage. He made us talk about and plan for things we probably wouldn't have on our own.
