I have to take a moment to recognize Michael Craven and Kevin Salzstein for their amazing support and expertise during my tumultuous divorce process. They were both very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I was made aware of my rights and what I was entitled to by law. When I made a decision on whether or not to pursue something, my choice was respected and I felt confident in my decision.
Both were very easy to work with and respected my time. Michael is well versed in business law as well, which I found helpful as an entrepreneur. Although I did not consider my divorce to be high conflict, when things did become stressful or intense, they remained professional and helped to keep me calm as well. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lawyer who is authentic, who has a sense of humor, and who gets results. I recently completed a divorce process and Vaughn was on my attorney team. She was always great to work with, but there was one point where she truly went above and beyond, jumping in to help me sort out some urgent and thorny problems with my house title / quit claim deed. Never return phone calls and when I called Joseph his assistant will tell me his not there , then I call 2 min later and Mr Joseph will answer ....never finish my case lie after lie ....never seen my kids never did anything but ask for more money each time....I asked for all my evidence back time after time but he refused to give me back my property/ evidence, simply the worst.

If I could give attorney Zhao a below one, it would most definitely be a 0. She has poor manners and didn't think my spouse case was work, who responds to a client stating "I have been very busy with work" like my spouse case wasn't work. Then gets upset and removed herself from the case after filling into the case because you don't like corrective criticism, how unethical. When she calls her clients she is very disgruntled and pushy, can't be so sure if its a personality conflict or a color/race conflict, but whatever it is. I would not recommend her for any case learn how to treat your clients. You won't make it very far being rude, people are no longer standing for bad behaviors.

I’ve had bad experiences with attorneys with lack of communication and not answering after taking my case. Anne was completely different she walked me through everything & let me know what to expect ! I received the top pay for my case much more than I expected and she even helped me get money to keep my finances on track while I waited . Warning…do not retain Caidi Vanderporten or her father, Evan Mammas. During your consultation they will present as kind, caring, and ready to fight hard at trial. However, they will do everything to avoid trial. I paid Caidi bout $200 for her free consultation as token of my gratitude, appreciation, and respect for her time. However, after retaining her and her father, and paying them thousands to argue at trial, Caidi did the unimaginable within ~3 weeks. FIRSTLY, against my repeated objection, Caidi converted the trial from in-person to Zoom. SECONDLY, at the beginning of the hearing, she requested a PRIVATE breakout room for her to talk with the judge, opposing counsel, and child representative (all women). The trial NEVER occurred because she lied to the judge that I wanted to cancel the hearing in exchange for an agreement to see my infant son (and only child) TWICE PER MONTH for 45 minutes each “visit.” I brought the matter to her father’s attention, and he explained that he saw nothing wrong. I even had the transcripts of our conversation for evidence. THIRDLY, she filed an Order of Protection against me in an attempt to prevent me from publicly exposing her. LASTLY, she had the nerve to bill me an additional ~$5,000 after I complained about what she had done to me and my infant son. I hired them to argue, at the IN-PERSON EVIDENTIARY TRIAL, for me and my son’s entitled rights to a sufficient amount of WEEKLY parenting time. They took advantage of me while I was a desperate father and full-time graduate student that could not even make ends meet. I’ve had to use $7000 of my student loans to hire a new attorney to undo the mess they created. I’m heartbroken and hope no one else becomes a victim of her firm.

I don’t often write reviews of any sort but in the case of Ms. Weisberg I thought that doing so was warranted. There are no circumstances I can imagine where anyone is going to feel comfortable having someone placed in your life to evaluate your family dynamic. That being said, if there is ever a time that you find yourself in a place where it is warranted, Ms. Weisberg should be your first choice.
As I assume most people would feel, I had question/concerns about how a GAL would approach their review of my family. Would they be biased based on the gender of the parent they are reviewing? Would they base their opinion of my parenting style on how they may parent themselves? Will they interact with my children in a way that does not make them uncomfortable? Will they take every statement by parents or children at face value or will they do their due diligence and find the whole truth?
In the case of Ms. Weisberg, I could not have been more pleased with her level of professionalism. Ms. Weisberg didn’t just show up to talk to members of our family to check boxes for a report but sought to understand all the circumstances that led us to needing her services. Ms. Weisberg spoke to my children in a way that did not cause them to feel uncomfortable or threatened. The same can be said with the respect she showed the adults in our situation. When Ms. Weisberg had questions about anything her questions were direct and fair so you never felt like she was trying to lead you or trick you. I felt like Ms. Weisberg was always looking for a solution or compromise that she felt was best for my children and we the parents. I certainly didn’t agree with all of her assessments but I often times found myself agreeing with her opinions despite them requiring me to compromise on things I wanted.
Ultimately, as I stated in the beginning, Ms. Weisberg did a tremendous job working for all parties involved to find what was best for my children. She is a credit to her profession

Lynn helped me through a difficult process. She was always responsive, and willing to listen and help find the best solutions for my children. I was extremely pleased by the representation I received from Mr. Barbahen. I was referred by a colleague, whom Paul had guided through an extremely contentious custody case. My case was less contentious, but nonetheless full of all kinds of (sadly, I think, typical) ugliness: bogus petitions for Orders of Protection, equally bogus DCFS claims, etc. That is, it was only "less contentious" by comparison with a truly extreme case. Otherwise, it was very ugly; and it dragged on for two years. Through it all, Barbahen was a rock. As other clients have noted, he is a very straight shooter: he will not string you along, "run the meter" for no reason, or the like. He will run the case the way you instruct him (though he will also honestly tell you what he thinks of the wisdom of your instructions). He has an admirable pragmatism and a seasoned sense of the limits of possibility in the courts. I recommend him without reservation.
