After going through my divorce, and being put into a position where I had to go back to court, I decided change attorney’s. I interviewed several attorney’s all over San Diego. Embry Family Law was the perfect fit. Ben, and Cecilia were amazing as my lawyers. Nick, Shyanne, and Daniel were always so easy to get ahold of, get advice from, and schedule meetings with. Ben is extremely knowledgeable in negotiating, and representing his client’s interests. Despite how tense divorce can be, he has a very calming communication style, and makes sure to answer questions, and provide clarity. I appreciate everything Embry Family did for me, and if I have to go back again, I will not hesitate to call them again.

Scammers. They had me pay all of the money they were charging me for my case then claim that their business was closing because the owner had “cancer” and I couldn’t get my money back WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.

I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

Hired and initially good. I believe he is a good person. However, as my case progressed, poor guidance was given and it cost me physical protection from my abusive ex. When the case got complex, he clearly preferred to believe another attorney and showed more concern about his reputation than fighting for a little girl who was strong enough to report her abuser. When he was released from his position, he neglected to produce documents in his care that cost me over thousands of dollars. Still fighting in court to get payment due to his negligence.

A year ago I found Christopher John on Avvo, and because of good reviews I decided to go to their office for consultation. In the office I got a free consultation from MR Hannosh who works in Sunnien Law as an attorney. He said that they work together with Christopher. He was very nice and helpful and I decided to hire them to work on my divorce case.
I worked with Sunnien Law and Mr Hannosh on my divorce case.
I paid them for my divorce 4000$ in advance. As soon as I realized that Sunnien law spent all this money, I wrote them a letter that I don't want to work with their agency anymore, because I don't have a job and money and I am actually an international student. In 2 month they sent me an invoice and said that I have to pay them almost 4000$ on top of what I already paid.
I feel like these people tricked me because my English is not very good. They did a very bad job with my divorce case. I finally went to the court alone. They did everything to charge me as much as possible and do a very little job.
They work very badly, don't pay attention to details and they don't care about the result. NEVER hire them.

I just wanted to write that Attorney Diaz is an excellent attorney and represented me in an case that caused me a lot of sleepless nights. I liked that he always returned my emails and took his time to answer all my questions and relieve some of the stress. My ex filed legal documents against me telling the judge all the lies about me harassing her etc. I couldn’t believe people could just write lies and the court issued a protection order against me, I could not even see my children and I felt my life was crumbling, When I talked to attorney Diaz he told me what we needed to do and he explained things very well. We filed a long response that were all factual and which dealt with each and every lie that my ex used to keep my children away from me. Attorney Diaz made me feel like “we would win” even before we had the hearing. Attorney Diaz talked to me several times while he wrote down the legal documents stating my side of the case. He was very good in court, when he started asking my ex questions about her allegations her attorney would “abject” and try to stop the questioning but the judge kept saying “over ruled” and even told the other attorney that they were making too many abjections. Attorney Diaz then started making really good questions, very precise and my ex didn’t have the answers. After the hearing I thought Attorney Diaz did a very perfect job. The judge took a break and we had to wait like 20 minutes. Then when he came back he dismissed the restraining order in full and after dismissing the restraining order the judge even said that my ex was not believable because attorney Diaz had caught her in a big lie. Attorney Diaz asked her the same important question at the end of the questioning and my ex stated a different answer than what she had written on her legal documents, so the judge basically said she was either lying in court, or did not have enough memory to support a restraining order. I ended up hiring Attorney Diaz to represent me in my full divorce case and he did his job with professionalism and kept me in the loop, He reunited me with my children which is why I decided to give him a good review, and would refer him to anyone who needs a good attorney.

Ms. Bostick is best out there. This is the best experience I have had with an attorney, she listens, she's extremely knowledgeable, organized, kind & fierce at the same time, she really cares, also she has a great personality. Everytime I needed to get a hold of her office, it was easy. She treated my case as the emergency it was. She is detail oriented, a great writer and very articulate. She helped me stay calm in a terrible situation in my life. She literally changed my life, got my son back home and I am really forever grateful for finding her, to be honest without her, things would not have gone that smoothly. I literally needed her representation. Another attorney that does a different practice referred me to her and he said, now she's the best! I'm so glad, I listened. The attorneys at Boyd Law did a fantastic job for me. I had an emergent case that required a response to be filed with the court within one business day. Staff at Boyd Law agreed to hear the facts of my case as I knew them to be, quoted me a reasonable fee for services (to which I agreed), and immediately addressed the necessary matters of my case. While my matter had significant material already available for the staff, Joshua Fabian did a masterful job arguing for me in person before a difficult judge. Joshua presented the facts clearly, addressed wrongs with the court, and preserved the integrity of the judge and opposing self-representing counsel in honorable discourse. He attained a very favorable decision from the court for me and represented me in a way that is honorable to me, himself, and the whole firm at Boyd Law. Boyd Law came through for us by assigning Joshua L. Fabian to our case. Joshua is a UCCJEA Virtuoso with a fantastic personality and the ability to get through to a difficult judge.
We had a tri-state jurisdictional custody nightmare on our hands that involved original orders from in California from 2020, an open 2024 custody case in Father's state (home state), with Mother being another state entirely.
When the California judge made what we felt was an erroneous emergency temporary order that caused substantial upheaval in the lives of our children, we reached out to multiple firms and attorneys who all wanted to put us off for weeks on top of charging us for a consultation fee. However, when I called Boyd Law, I reached Brandon (sp?) who patiently listened to our dilemma and put us through to the right team which included Matthew Caldwell, Joshua L. Fabian, and Ashley Hoffman, although Joshua was our Go-To A-Team guy.
Not only did we not get charged a consultation fee, Joshua hit this case with great enthusiasm, ultimately coming through for us in exceptional fashion.
His knowledge of UCCJEA is second to none. His pleasant and positive disposition immediately put us at ease. His commitment to meeting tight timelines was stellar. More importantly, his courtroom presentation was EPIC!

When I first separated from my ex-wife 7 years ago, I made the mistake of retaining a novice attorney who succeeded in billing me over $5,000 in the first month simply for the pleasure of filing the divorce petition. Boyd Law came through for us by assigning Joshua L. Fabian to our case. Joshua is a UCCJEA Virtuoso with a fantastic personality and the ability to get through to a difficult judge.
We had a tri-state jurisdictional custody nightmare on our hands that involved original orders from in California from 2020, an open 2024 custody case in Father's state (home state), with Mother being another state entirely.
When the California judge made what we felt was an erroneous emergency temporary order that caused substantial upheaval in the lives of our children, we reached out to multiple firms and attorneys who all wanted to put us off for weeks on top of charging us for a consultation fee.
