Donna Smiedt was recommended to me by a dentist friend of mine. He himself had been through a few divorces and knew who was good and who was not. Not only is Donna incredibly proficient at what she does professionally, She is a very compassionate caring and helpful person as well! She knew how to communicate well with both myself & my now ex-husband. I got an incredible settlement -fair & generous. Absolutely fantastic to work with ! Through keeping my ex-wife‘s attorney in check as well as always being on the attack in the courtroom Yive fought for my rights as well as my child’s continuously. After doing coparenting class and social study we were able to ensure my child’s stability and safety living with me primarily in ensuring that he was not anywhere near the violence that was taking place at the other household . And that is very hard to do As the father. If you are looking for someone that’s going to take your back and fight for what’s right definitely give her a call specially if you are a father looking to maintain your rights. Divorces and custody battles are not easy and are stressful, you want to use the best attorney out there to have your side and in my personal opinion there is no better attorney in the DFW area.

Kelly assisted with my divorce and she was amazing through the entire thing. She is knowledgeable and realistic. She won’t convince you to “over reach” and displays compassion and sympathy throughput the process. Furthermore, she got the judge to agree to my ex signing a voluntary parental relinquishment of my son, which I hear is actually pretty difficult. Her and her entire staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout processes that are naturally difficult. I would definitely hire her again.

You know that slimy, slick feeling you may get when speaking to a lawyer? Not for a moment did I ever feel that way with Kelly. She was gracious enough to take my custody case when my previous lawyer failed and I thought I stood no chance at winning custody of my kids.
Kelly was kind, firm, and my voice of reason when I thought I was drowning. She left no stone unturned against my ex and destroyed any credibility he thought he had. Not to mention, she was incredibly polite, organized, and likeable in front of the judge.
I say with absolute honesty that I never would have won custody without Kelly. She knew exactly how to pick apart his lies and show the judge why he was unfit to have them.

We met Lisa at the Cameron County Courthouse. She was there representing another case and we were there trying to to navigate our way through child support and family court pro se, having traveled in from upstate Texas. Before we even had a chance to address our case before the judge, she met with the other parties to hers and listening to her was all it took to want to hire her. Lisa is a straight shooter. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She doesn't hesitate or walk around bad answers or behavior, and asks that everyone be held accountable for their actions. I immediately asked for her contact information and she began representing us that very afternoon. By the end of the evening, she had e-filed on our behalf and everything we'd been hoping to say or points we felt were important to make, she included. Her experience and flair were very evident in her initial filing. While our case is far from over, our experience so far has been a cake walk with her. We aren't just a number to her, she recognizes and responds to us because she knows our plight. She doesn't ask us the same questions over and over because she remembers. She doesn't take for granted how near and dear this proceeding is for us, and she doesn't treat us poorly when we ask too many questions or send in page long rantings. She understands the importance this carries for our family and our future. Yesterday was our third court date (in Texas), and neither my Husband nor I worried. We didn't stress about being there for this issue for the first time EVER because we are so confident in our attorney and her firm. I know Lisa will see us through. I know she will continue asking the questions that deserve answers and making the other party accountable to the years of bad decisions and dishonesty. I happened to be at the Cameron County courthouse ready to speak on my own behalf regarding a child support/custody matter when my wife spoke to Lisa regarding my situation. Within a matter of hours she was by my side fighting on my behalf. I am an active duty Soldier who has been stationed in various states dealing with custody issues with an ex wife while deploying overseas never able to get any real say in the matter of my involvement in my son's life. When my ex and her new paramour found out I'd retained Brad Nace, they went from representing themselves to retaining a high-profile family attorney firm (whom I don't wish to further embarrass by naming here). I knew Brad had a great reputation as top-flight attorney, as I've known knew him socially for years. (My ex knew too, btw.) What I did not, and could not yet truly appreciate was what an incredible strategist, nor how unbelievably attentive to detail he is. As badly as I wanted to win my case... I dare say Brad wanted it MORE THAN I DID. Yes, of course we won... but it gets better...
When we finally had our hearing... it felt like a Hollywood director said "Action" and then it was Brad's turn to make an opening statement... hard to describe succinctly but suffice to say, he was on another level than opposing counsel. He absolutely owned the stage er court room and commanded everyone's attention and respect.

He was the first to tell me that my wife was trying to defraud me as she filed for divorce. She was also severely abusing my child at the time too which restricted my ability to understand just how criminal she had become. He also told me that the court doesn't care about child abuse which at first struck me as insensitive. At a certain point during litigation I realized that my ex was guilty of multiple crimes. He was correct about my ex's intentions to not only abuse my child (trying to make me crazy) but also to defraud me / the whole estate. My ex made it away with millions, trusts, businesses, has almost had me killed a few times due to conspiracy crimes, and I haven't been with my daughter (who believes me to be dead) since she was kidnapped for a court sponsored ransom against civil law and federal vra laws in 2017. The maternally abused victim child is now severely damaged, suffering, and cannot speak properly (often times stuttering / stammering) and does not have a steady focus according to insiders due to the ongoing maternal child abuse. Thanks for the heads up about my criminal ex and the court not caring about child abuse! The 255th court does NOT care for their standing orders, maternal child abuse, perjury, fraud, or rico crimes alike. They have been reported to the DOJ about their constructive crimes. Mr. Brad Nace is an honest lawyer who is very intuitive. Honesty is very hard to find in the legal field. 100% excellent lawyer!!!! Have a great one!!!!!

Charles represented a family member who was unjustly pulled over by a police officer. He went above and beyond to prove his innocence. He truly cares for his clients. He counseled my son and warned him about following the law. He is an exNavy officer and previously worked in law enforcement. So he knows all sides of the law and he is the most just man I have ever met. His courtroom savvy is incredible to watch. Mostly, it is his character, he is an honorable man who truly cares. He has years of experience and knows how to defend. I was referred by a friend to contact Ted Santos regarding a Deceptive Trade Practices Act case with a local car dealership. Ted returned my call quickly and outlined the process in terms I could easily understand. He explained both the upside and downside of filing this claim and process/costs of moving forward.
What impressed me most was his honesty in letting me know that a case like this might be settled quickly or, if the dealership decided that they believed they had done nothing wrong and fought back, the time and costs could spiral quickly upward. Based on this sound advice, I went back to the dealership and negotiated a settlement on my own.
If Ted had not taken the time to explain all my options, I would have not pursued a more reasonable settlement with the dealership. The next time I need good legal advice, I will call Ted.

Judge Robles went above and beyond for me for the past 2 years. Had a custody battle with an ex who wanted to get out of child support but only wanted custody of one child (other parent never attended court cases which prolonged the case) and Judge Robles helped me get the case dismissed and also the non custodial parent had to pay way more in child support when we finally got done with the case.
