Mr. Calzada was available by email and I could even call his cell phone. He talked to me like a real person. He spent the time to explain my case and walked me through what was needed from me and what to expect. His offices were that of a very expensive high end attorney, but he never talked down to me. I always felt at ease. When we finally went to court, he tore the other side to shreds. He was 100% at ease in court. It made me feel confident. I was VERY happy with my result. Sam is an excellent attorney who is very knowledgeable about family law. Although we weren't able to find the finances to secure his services he was able to guide me to the necessary forms needed for my case. I don't even know where to start with the amazing and caring service I got from this firm. Deanna and Paula were absolutely amazing. My divorce case was not an easy one at all from all aspects and Weinman & associates were there for me every day, every moment, every morning and evening. Yoon was very hands on and extremely patient when it came to our case. We weren't exactly the easiest clients to get along with, yet he was very understanding and professional in handling our situation. My husband was deploying to Afghanistan and we were selling our home at the same time. With him being out of the country he would not be there when we sold our home. Ms. Tefera handled my divorce. Initially, I hired another lawyer who never returned my calls or responded to my emails. This went on for months until I consulted with Ms. Tefera. We discovered that my case was soon going to be closed due to this lawyer not doing any work on it. Obtaining Ms. Tefera as my lawyer was the best decision I could have made. She and her staff made the process smooth, and they were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. I had been living abroad for quite a few years and had many dealings with immigration attorneys and almost as many bad experiences. When it came time to apply for my family's American visa's I expected an equally expensive, time consuming run around experience. To my great surprise and relief I can offer the following testimony about Mr. Cate's professional services. He told me what it would cost, how long it would take, what I had to do and what I should expect. When it was all done, he was correct in all of his projections and we did not have to resubmit paperwork or deal with a recall or second, third or fourth trip. Brad and his team helped me complete my divorce that had complex international and extenuating circumstances attached. Brad’s knowledge of Texas Divorce Law was second to none. Brad (and Jeff) substituted in after a long drawn out process after filing (8 months) that got virtually NOWHERE with my previous attorney because she was MIA in both response time and counsel! Not only did Brad jump in, assess the situation and the proposed agreement my spouse and I had come to (absent counsel from previous attorney). Brad thoughtfully considered and acknowledged the spirit of what we were trying to accomplish, provided insight into potential drawbacks or areas of recommended clarification and focused exclusively on clarification of language vs. exorbitant revisions to the settlement documents (to put his mark on it) that would have further delayed finalization.
He was knowledgeable, professional, responsive and diligent (as was Jeff)-I highly recommend him.

I knew I wanted to hire Brad right after my initial consultation. I was going back to court for the second time over my child possession agreement and felt like I didn't have any options. Brad came to the table with three different effective solutions and took the time to explain in detail what each one meant. We were supplied a revised document from my x that had many holes in it. Brad took the time to explain why we had to add certain notes and even the smallest detail is crucial when protecting my rights. I highly recommend Rwan Hardesty for anyone seeking an effective, fair, honest, and hard-working lawyer. Rwan represented me in a very tough civil case involving defamation. Not many lawyers are willing to take on defamation cases as they are hard to win on either side and laws/rules/procedures around this topic are constantly changing and developing. If you believe your case to be beyond the realm of Rwan’s “normal services”, check in with her and see, she’ll give you an honest opinion/recommendation. My case lasted for a couple of years and even involved an appeal. Rwan is honest, fair, effective and always open to hear and listen to my concerns (no matter how bizarre and type A of concerns they were). Beyond that, she is highly intellectual and discovered (through her many hours of work) several loopholes, clauses, etc that assisted my case. Rwan helped to make this experience a smoother and more affordable one for me and I cannot stress enough how honest and hardworking this woman is, ready to respond and communicate at all times. She’s a real shark, but a nice one! She won EVERY SINGLE case/motion against me, including in appeals court. My class A Cdl driver license was suspended for 8 years. I had up to 7k in tickets every lawyer I went to was charging me 2500.00 to get my CDL back but I would still have to pay my tickets.. I would absolutely recommend Dan Kirby as a divorce attorney. He helped me when I was faced with an unexpected divorce after 21 years of marriage. When I called Dan it was the beginning of a holiday weekend, and he took care of having the papers filed and processed through the courts before the holiday. Dan helped me navigate through a divorce in 2013 with reliable, prompt attention and wise council. Dan is the type of lawyer, if children are involved, will look out for the family as a whole and ultimately what is in the best interest of the children in the long run not to mention you, his client. Legal issues are generally a highly emotionally charged event in one’s life. What that being said, I have been able to call on Dan Kirby to this day for council regarding family law. Mr. Sykes helped my fiance and I divert a custody train wreck. My fiance's antagonistic ex-wife had denied visitation, disappeared with their daughters, re-arranged the cars on her driveway when she left to force him to park on a dangerous street, and demanded he call the cops (in spite of a pandemic). My fiance went months without seeing his daughters during their divorce, and she has attempted to deny visitation in years past, but we've always been able to get a civil standby to convince her otherwise... but not this time.
We were preparing to file a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus and Emergency Motion for Return of Child[ren], which would have opened a very contentious and expensive can of worms, when Mr. Sykes gave us very specific and strategic advice to put the lid back on an explosive situation.
Long story short... hell froze over, and she apologized. She also offered to make up the time. We hope this is the last time we'll need Mr. Sykes legal guidance for custody matters, but if we do, we know it will be money well spent (or saved! Depending on how you look at it). :)

I had a very rocky journey after my automobile accidents where I fired 4 attorneys before hiring Luke because the previous ones treated me like a number on their worksheet. Some of them did the wrong work and some of them just did not bother to work on my case at all. I also asked a friend to give me a personal injury referral before Luke and little did I know I was mocked as "a troubled client" for hiring 4 attornies without bothering to understand my circumstance. When I found Luke, he was courteous, sympathetic & professional. He listened to my story and knew exactly how to help me with my situation. What I really liked about my experience with Luke is he kept you informed every step of the way (unlike those 4) and wants you to be involved in the process to ensure accuracy. Mr. Harris is very personable, approachable and has a good relationship with the courts. This is a plus if you are dealing with sensible soon to be ex’es who want to move on and act like adults. But he is also a staunch, steadfast and passionate advocate when you are dealing with a case like mine.
He is a bull when confronting non-reasonable people. He is no push over. When the other side tried to use coercive tactics, Mr.Harris pushed back! There were periods where I would be in disbelief on how well this Lawyer carried himself !
He is the gentlest yet strongest person I've ever met. He was extremely passionate as he vigorously spoke up to the Court.
Mr. Harris later told me that they were trying to take advantage of me and that he was NOT going to allow that. I was touched.
That was confirmation that he truly cares about his client's and not just your check book.
If you are looking for someone who is looking out for your best interest and willing to actually listen to your needs and your worries during difficult situations, and get results , then this is the right attorney for you. Mr. Harris provided detail consultation for me to prepare for LLC business depositions that were critical to closing an estate I was the administrator over. In a time when my husband and I were left devastated by a crime that he had committed and while other consulted lawyers described his case as desolate because of his early confession upon arrest, Christy Jack and Letty Martinez provided perspective and comfort. They were both prepared to utilize his confession as a mark of integrity and we felt confident in their defense and plan from the beginning. Letty spent careful and valuable time explaining the process of litigation, never once showing frustration to a repeated question or concern. Not in any circumstance did she assume we would understand the intricacies of the law and proceedings, taking diligence to ensure we were comfortable and confident in their decision making. Letty helped me with phone calls to get my wife out of jail on a blue warrant that was no-billed when the charge was no-billed. She still help even though she no longer represented my wife since the case was closed. She went above and beyond to help me do what i needed to get done to help get my wife home. I found myself in the unfortunate situation of being served a petition from one of those aggressive family lawyers. I met with Grady and hired him to defend me in this matter.
Grady took the time to fully understand the case and its nuances, and we met and discussed various legal strategies. The case took about a year to resolve due to various complicating factors including an overlapping issue in another court system that could have had corollary effects on the family case.
Throughout this time, Grady was unflappable. With his knowledge of the family law system and significant experience, Grady helped me navigate the various choices throughout the process. Additionally, Grady collaborated well with other attorneys helping to bridge the gap in styles.
His approach was very practical given his knowledge of what might work or not work depending on the circumstances. He conducted himself with a high degree of integrity and was never looking to do extra work just to over-bill me (which is oftentimes the case with divorce attorneys).

Like many other families, we were faced with decisions that we really didn’t think we would need to make… my Dad’s dementia was deepening and my Mom, his Caretaker, was beginning to rapidly fail herself.
It came to the point I knew my Dad needed more care than what my Mom was capable of providing. It needed to be done quickly and correctly. Frankly, I was worried my Mom would pass before my Dad.
My parents are retired school-teachers. That means they are not rich, but they do have income. It certainly means they do not have the money for Nursing Home care that my Dad needs, and for that matter, my Mom needed for him to have.
I knew that trying to do the paper work and application for Medicaid was far beyond my ability and know-how. I recognized at that point we needed an Attorney to handle this for us.
I looked for a nearby attorney and found Richard Shea. This was one of the best decisions made in this difficult junction of our lives.
Richard reviewed everything carefully…. He answered questions timely… He worked as a partner with our family.
We are so grateful we hired him…it turns out that one of the accounts my mom had saved money through her job, would have been at risk if we had made the application first. Richard identified the situation and made suggestions on how to restructure it, which we did. While the amounts would not seem large to most people with an IRA or Pension, it was huge for my mom, and meant a lot to her monthly income. This one detail, more than paid for Richard’s fee.
My Dad is in a great facility. My Mom is able to relax and reclaim part of her life because she doesn’t have the heavy burden of caring for my father any longer. She can sleep at night and not have to worry if my Dad was going to get out of bed and turn on the stove and burn the house down! (He actually came close one time.) She is actually getting healthier. During her last check-up, her doctor told her he was pleased with her resurgent health.
I cannot recommend Richard enough. He is well worth his fee since he will fill out the paperwork and handle the application process and deal with the questions from the Examiner. These are details that are nerve racking enough, let alone during a stressful time.
If you are faced with these decisions, I recommend you hire Richard to handle the details. You have enough stress as it is, let him handle the part you that you are not an expert in handling. You will feel a lot better that you did.
