You truly get what you pay for, especially in legal representation. And if your kids mean enough to you you won't think twice about retaining Craig Sampson. A father in a custody battle in VA can be a bad position to be in and bring low expectations regarding the outcome. Craig is the best in the business hands down. Extremely well prepared and has a court presence second to none. He will shine for you if given the opportunity. His pre-trial performance stopped the opposition in their tracks so overwhelmingly, they withdrew the case prior to the actual trial. Where they were not prepared, he was and made that day the trial. The judge acknowledged every point and legal precedent he presented. I can't say enough to truly explain his skill sets and professionalism, but you can witness it yourself. Although this is business, I will be eternally grateful for what he did for me and my daughters ensuring we stayed as one, family.

I'm recently divorced, it was stressful time, my attorney Mellissa Vanzile was so professional and always to the point. She was always compassionate with me, knowing I was stressed out. When we went to the pretrial hearing, Melissa argued professionally to the Judge, and we were able to get him to side with Mrs. Vanzile and myself. Through this process, my ex-wife and I are still friendly and are able to talk freely with each other, I Owe a lot of that to Melissa, because of the way she handled our situation. Also, we have a daughter, son in law and a very special Grandson. My ex and I agree they are three people that are very important. During Holiday, birthdays and special events we will be able to stand in the same room together and especially school events with our Grandson. William “ Happy” O’Brien, Esq. - divorce lawyer, My original lawyer failed to prepare for a hearing, and do his job which cost me some major retirement benefits. Joel is AMAZING! I hired him for an expungement and he made the process of expunging my record smooth, easy, and quick. He not only expunged the charge but also the ticket that was thrown out alongside the charge for no additional cost without me even asking. What sets him apart from other strong lawyers is he is very reassuring and nonjudgmental about whatever situation you are presenting, and he made the entire process stress free. I would recommend Joel to anybody who needs a great lawyer.

I highly recommend Doummar Law. I recently had a traffic violation case and Joel Kinney represented me. His work resulted in a significantly reduced charge. To be fair Mrs. Stubbs is the only divorce lawyer I have worked with but she was amazing! Her entire team was so supportive I truly felt cared about. She held my hand through much of the process answering every question with patience and I always felt protected. My ex husband was not as big of a fan often referring to her as my personal guard dog. I would simply reply with “That’s because you’re on the teeth end, as the one holding the leash I think she is is wonderful.” Mrs. Stubbs & her team were worth every penny, and I never for a moment regretted hiring them. Would give 6 stars if I could.

I did a phone consult and completed all of the paperwork. Was advised that a personal injury lawsuit that had not yet been determined would not need to be included because they were no funds for settlement yet. To me, not knowing the law, that made sense because we're only looking at debt and income and ability to pay at that time. I found out a few years later I was incorrectly advised by attorney Tillman. I have reached out multiple times but she is on leave. Now the settlement is tied up because the bankruptcy has to be reopened which is much more expensive than filing an original bankruptcy. And when I went to court, I was expecting her as she had not said that she was not going to attend . And a young man represented me in court from the office . It wasn't the fact that it was another person, just not that I had been privy to that information . Very disappointed

He is the worst attorney never honest or said the truth changing the words every time in different mood. He is not professional or organized. Please save your money and don’t work with him ever. Left my case in last min in my court day he did withdraw to the case. We have a contract of flat rate and paid him in advance. A night before the court day asking me to give him more money he tried to push me in the corner to pay him more. Before, I talk to tell why the extra pay we already made a deal and I paid. He yelled and disrespected, treated me so bad then hangs up the phone. After that texting me “I will filling an order to withdraw”. Yes, Can you imagine? A day before your court without giving you any notice. I send him an agreement with my ex before a month ago. In the court he wasn’t prepared and even he didn’t know anything about the case. Even though I called him and updated him but he is looking for money how he can get more from you. I never forgive you on what you did! And your life become so hard because you took $2500 for nothing as I paid you in advance.

Outstanding attention to the full history, context and details of the matter by Samantha in the firm. Very patient with me explaining the best options to resolve a contentious estate situation that had gone on for 3 years previously where another very strong firm was on the other side using "low-ball, then delay then obfuscate, then avoid" tactics with my prior counsel. Once formally engaged on the case, Samantha resolved the entire matter w/in approx 4 months for a reasonable fee as well considering the amount of time invested in the process (Expect it to be a process of back and forth and attrition BTW!). I couldn't be more pleased with the firm, Samantha and Kara's professionalism, teamwork or the positive results for my family's future!

Good Chinese food. Rice is not given with the dish. You have to order separately. I went on team lunch and it was great experience. The ambience is quiet and clean. Faux monsters plant fill the vicinity of the restaurant so nicely. Food is properly cooked and spice level is exactly as indicated. I like spicy food so i took highest spice level.

Mariam Ebrahimi is a top-notch attorney. Over the course of several years dealing with a litigious ex and fighting over custody, Mariam has proved to be my best advocate, guiding me through what has been an incredibly high conflict divorce. She is straight forward and doesn’t just tell me what I want to hear. Her perspective on how the judicial system works and what is considered reasonable is first rate. She was my attorney in adultery case two years ago. What she was cared to make money not to win the case. She made very bad mistake with separation date. My ex took the 5th. She asked me to go to Court with her. She said I should feel the cour atmosphere. When we got to court, she immediately introduced me to the judge and put me on the stand being questioned without any preparation. She used me because she was not prepared.He got his fifth. She asked me to give return taxes for five years. What a waste of time it was. I had doubts whether she looked into them.She overcharged me for every meeting and everything she was doing.She was rude,often burst screaming when questioned her actions/approached and threatened to leave the case.She supposed to send certified and regular letters.After three weeks not getting respond from the recipient I asked for receipt with tracking number. She got very angry screaming,if I don’t trust her she can’t defend me anymore.She never send those letters, she lied. For the Deposition most questions I prepared she had no time and asked for.There was the most humiliating time for me.My ex was sarcastic to her the most of the time and lied and she had solid evidence he did.when she started negotiations with his lawyer how much money I have to give back to my ex for spousal support he paid me and for all bills he paid for house. I not supposed to return any money to him, I found out later. I left her after that.

I am so glad I was able to find Mariam. She helped guide me through a divorce that left me in pieces. WARNING - DO NOT USE - I don’t normally write reviews but this one I’m doing because I wish someone had told me. I’ve have actually filed a complaint with the VA State Bar. I paid in October 2017 for an easy divorce as we had a prenup. She finally told me in March that I would have my papers in 4 to 6 weeks - the word “guaranteed” was said several times, which stood out because nobody, let alone an attorney, would say that. Now comes August & she finds out we need affidavits. Stating she and the opposing attorney didn’t think they would need them. I don’t know who the opposing attorney is because he didn’t have one. She will call so it shows unknown caller that goes straight to voicemail and will then deny she did that. Still no divorce. Use at your own risk now.

I thought I would have a great experience with this law office, but almost every time I would get in touch with the office, it took forever to have my case worked on. Any action on my case was so delinquent, that I was offered a small refund, which I feel is a great P.R. gesture. One month ago, I was told "the check is in the mail". I emailed this exact statement recently to the office, and I still have not heard back. The continuous delays and excuses really turned me off. Very disappointed is an understatement.

No one ever wants to get divorced. I felt like I was in an abyss. She was wonderful and continues to be wonderful, years after the fact. I recommend her to every friend or family member in the area that needs an attorney for one of her specialties. She's the best!!

Zealous fails to adequately describe the representation. My action was very high profile, but her office never wavered in their discretion. I can only describe the firm as exceeding the benchmark of professional The young secretary I spoke with most often was April, very bright and able-minded (didn't give legal advice), but it was Dale, Marilyn's highly skilled, ambitious associate taking care of the day to day maintenance on my case and Marilyn, as her usual pit viper self, expressing my loss before the court, demanding equity, satisfaction and closure. Faster and less painful than I imagined. This lawyer is expensive, but well worth the money! Her office bills at various rates, which range from $150 an hour to $500 or more per hour, depending on the work being done. Ms. Solomon may not guarantee results, but hiring her was the best decision I could have made during a very difficult time in my life. I am very satisfied with the outcome and I would recommend Marilyn to anyone in the Winchester area seeking an experienced divorce or bankruptcy attorney. Ms. Solomon's office is conveniently located in downtown, Winchester. Ms. Solomon is easy to reach and very responsive. The professionalism and legal expertise of the firm exceeded my expectations in every possible way!

I hired Marilyn to represent me in my divorce and will regret it for the rest of my life. I would have gotten the same result going to court with no representation that I received with her. I lost everything including my kids, my home, partial retirement and most of my marital savings. To date I’ve payed her almost 8,000 (the small and exact amount she was able to get from my savings of 50,000) for her poor service and continue to receive bills for additional payment. She seems to think she is entitled and deserves to be paid an astronomical amount when she failed to even attain the money from my own savings. I hate to leave reviews like this especially because I do think she tries to be fair regarding custody and divorce cases which is all I asked for but it is not helpful when the other party is draining savings accounts and attempting to relocate your children before you step foot in court. My advice would be to save your money and look elsewhere.

She was my attorney for over two years. I really feel I did most of the work and she charged me for it. I was never charged paralegal rates for simple tasks or quick emails, she always charged me her full rate. She and her paralegal were incompetent when it came to navigating basic google drive etc. I had entire drive prepared myself with folders of evidence and information and neither of them could navigate it. Plenty of times she was unprofessional towards me, the opposing counsel and the judge. She often made me feel uncomfortable or stupid for asking questions about my own case or proceedings. On one occasion she called me an hour before our big trial claiming to have "lost" all the documents and requesting I bring all my own copies. She was then late to that trial, annoying the judge. During the trial she let the opposing counsel talk circles around her. It wasn't until I no longer used her services and did the continuing litigation on my own that I started actually getting the results I desired and began avoiding unnecessary or prolonged litigation. If you are searching for a legit attorney who will work FOR YOU I strongly recommend you hire someone other than Rita Ros-Planas.

I consulted with Ms. Ros-Planas in an emergency child custody situation when a family member took my nephew across state lines without permission. She knew exactly how to handle the situation and did so in a very caring manner. She even followed up to confirm the child's safe return, though I ended up not needing to hire her. Collected retainer up-front. Impossible to get in touch with. When I did hear back from him it would take a month of contact, only to have him not remember anything about my case. It took a full year to get a court date. He gave me the wrong court date, getting my case dismissed. He never showed up at court, even on the date he did me. And is now ignoring my contacts. He has not so much as returned a call or email in the two months since he got my case tossed out. Avoid. He just took my money and ghosted me.

I would highly recommend this firm. In particular Spencer Beckman and Paralegal, Jenny Peshoff. I only met with Spencer once for my initial consultation, but he was very friendly, professional, and down to earth. My mind was put at ease very quickly. The majority of my time was spent working with Jenny Peshoff and she was incredibly responsive, timely, and always friendly. During the few times that I visited the office in person, the staff was always courteous and very helpful. I would highly recommend both Spencer and Jenny - they are a great team! The one thing I appreciated most was the "non-lawyer speak" they used when speaking with me so that I understood exactly what was happening every step of the way.

I had a situation with a Protective Order. Spencer won the case for me in a spectacular fashion. The opposing counsel went on and on but Spencer's thorough and deep understanding of the law made him pinpoint what is important and relevant and what the judge needed to hear to win the case for me. I was so happy that day. In my opinion, he is the best in his business. If you are looking for an attorney, look no more. Just hire Spencer. He is your man... I will forever be in his debt for what he did for me. He is just an amazing lawyer!

Melanie is the lawyer, Donna the paralegal. Files separation and paid then in January, called and left messages and emails, did my end of the paperwork....nothing. .. June and I have paid them for bothe separation and divorce and nothing has been done... divorce was amicable and we had already separated assets and living separate lives for over a year at this point.... it's the end of July and they claim the paperwork is not back to them from my partner... absolutely unprofessional. 2nd time they claim the paperwork was sent back to them when in reality they probably lost it. A disgrace considering the other reviews of this firm are good... at this point I have given them all the money and they have be wrapped jn so they can take their sweet time. At this point I would be happy to have my money back so I can find someone to take care of this.

Being on edge and anxiety ridden.. Not only did Mr. Akers listen to EVERYTHING I had to share, unlike other lawyers who did not, he is very thorough and caring with his work. When it became clear to me that my custody & child support situation was not going to come to a resolution without the courts getting involved, I was referred to Nichols Zauzig by a family friend who had previously had a wonderful experience with this firm while being represented by Paul Nichols. I cannot say enough amazing things in regards to the representation I have received by Paul Nichols. His knowledge of the law and ability to analyze a situation, (sometimes that situation could mean the second right before the court hearing is to begin) and to be able to quickly make the right decision for his client is completely remarkable. I wholeheartedly will continue to put my trust in him and highly recommend to others needing an amazing, experienced, results driven attorney to do the same.

We are appreciative and grateful for how our son’s child custody case was handled by Paul F. Nichols of the law firm, Nichols Zauzig. Mr. Nichols was the third and final attorney we hired who was finally able to understand the complexities of what proved to be a difficult and traumatic experience for all involved. Mr. Nichols explained everything in terms we could easily understand, was responsive to our questions and concerns and kept us advised of the status of the case. As a result of his exceptional expertise, we now have the opportunity to be grandparents and our son has the opportunity to be a father to his two children who were alienated from us by their mother. We went to court for custody. Lisa prepared a thorough case against my children's mother. This custody battle was 4 years in the making. In court she painted a picture of the facts while protecting me. We won primary custody of my two daughters. I could not be happier. Also, Mr. Brown was a great help in teaching me how to cope with how you need to treat the other parent as you go through this difficult situation.
