Lauren helped us with a rodent issue with our landlord. She helped us identify our rights as tenants, inform our landlord of uninhabitable issues, and work through mediation and agreements to settle our move-out and lease termination. It was not a fun time living through it, but Lauren’s friendly attitude and legal support helped us get through it seamlessly. Highly recommend!

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for all that Alexandra and her team have done to help me work through a difficult tax situation. After years of sleepless nights trying and failing to resolve my tax concerns on my own, Alexandra was recommended to me by a local accountant. We had a handful of in-person meetings to bring her and her team up to speed on my situation, and within a short period things started to fall into place. He listened to my questions, concerns and gave me advice. I was very impressed with Mr. Ingerson’s professionalism, knowledge, and patience with me as I am very new to this and his kindness. After setting up a date with witnesses and a notary, I needed to make one amendment, Mr. Ingerson immediately drafted up the amended version and had a coworker from his company personally, deliver the revised Trust to my address!! We were having issues with counsel previously assigned to a claim, and reassigned to Hiep to aid with resolving a workers' compensation claim that was dragging on unnecessarily. Under Hiep's direction we were able to resolve the workers' comp matter quickly, and also an outstanding medical lien issue, which Hiep was able to resolve well under authority. Highly recommend for civil litigation issues in California, which can be difficult to navigate for companies.

I just spent 50 minutes on the phone with Shawn. I have a unique issue in that a tenant died and left property in my building. Shawn looked up civil codes and explained to me how to navigate this tricky situation. He is so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. He then recommended another firm to handle my case. My name is David. I hired Shawn and Kelly to help me seek damages from a contractor who installed defective materials in my home. After 9 months of being ignored, deceived, and mistreated by the contractor, I decided to pursue legal action. Shawn and Kelly took a proactive and professional approach and initially created a very detailed demand letter citing various legal precedence and legal remedies to attempt to find an out of court settlement. Coupled with claims with the California Contractors State License Board and the contractor’s Bond company, we were not only successful achieving a fair settlement, but I also covered my legal costs and all of the costs to repair my home. There were even enough monies left over to take my wife out for dinner after a year of feeling helpless against a dishonest company. I would also like to disclose that I previously had a disagreement with a tenant who also used Huston/McCaffrey to represent them. I spent a week researching about a dozen employment lawyers in LA and OC and found Amy through a recommendation from another lawyer who I liked but who was conflicted out. I only had 3 weeks to present my argument to my former employer. Amy jumped on my case immediately and worked over two weekends and was very responsive. We were able to reach a settlement with my employer within the allotted time frame and she was able to substantially improve the deal. Michael Simkin answered my desperate call, at 11am ON THE DAY before Thanksgiving. I am a 19 year, highly experienced real estate agent who rarely needs help in sales transactions. Yet, I found myself in dire need of legal help on my own personal purchase. Four other attorneys turned me away due to the imminent holiday or due to heavy caseloads. I found Mr. Simkin via a Google search. I read his reviews and I called him on a whim. After speaking for an hour, and after he made me laugh several times, I knew he was the attorney for me. I retained him immediately. For the remainder of the day he set everything aside to attend to my urgent case. My legal matter was settled in four weeks. Without having to attend an expensive mediation, and without arbitrating or litigating. He expertly knew how to get the job done in a way that gave me the best outcome, in the least amount of time, and in the most cost effective manner. Along the way, he gave me lessons in real estate law. He took opportunities to educate me, to provide me with options, and then to allow me to make the decision. What I appreciated most, was Mr. Simkin's ability to help me stay out of my own way. Being victimized (and I was), when I am a pretty tough person and real estate professional, was a hard position to be in. The situation had me emotional, angry, and wanting retribution. Instead of fanning the flames, he had a kind and respectful way of calming me down, and of helping me see the big picture. He usually had me laughing by the end of our calls. Mr. Simkin called me at 9:30pm on his birthday. What kind of business professionals care enough to do that these days? He does. On a final note, he made me a promise the first time we spoke. And, he honored it 100%. I recommend Mr. Simkin with the highest regard. His legal acumen is top notch, and his manner is 10X better. Bottom line, he's amazing.

A five star rating and more for Fred Schwartz, is more than deserved. He handled my case in a calm, confident manner which included a compassionate concern for my well being.
