I do not have much experience with law firms, but I can honestly say that this firm is the absolute worst when it comes to communication. I should have followed my first mind and dropped them months ago instead of letting them talk me into staying with them. If I could give negative stars I would give them 1,000 of them. A client should never have to basically beg for a returned phone call, email or text. It literally takes a few seconds to send a text. Lawyer gave me her personal cell phone number allegedly and I still do not get a response. I have gone weeks, probably even a month or so WITH NO CONTACT from my so called lawyer or team. I went to court in April of this year and I still have no idea what is happening or any updates. I had to make the choice to return to work while still injured and in pain because I could no longer wait for this circus to represent me. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I was off from work for 10 months with no pay based off of a partial denial from workman's comp and these lawyers move slower than molasses in Alaska. They did nothing to force the issue of the partial denial to have workman's comp keep paying me and providing therapy while things went through the "process" Now I am stuck with the choice of firing them like I should have and start over, or keep waiting it out...DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!!!!!!!!!

BEWARE!!!!! Unprofessional, Incompetent, will NOT fight for you! They keep telling you lies, but will ultimately fail you in every aspect of representing you. These people are greedy, unreliable and will NOT fight for you when you need it the most. They will make excuses left and right just so you will let them keep “representing” you. I say it’s all smoke and mirrors. Their so called medical team aren’t even licensed physicians, nor have any medical training. They let unqualified people who have no clue of what they are doing in positions they do NOT need to be in! They handled my case poorly and will NOT recommend. People BEWARE of this law firm.

Worked with Brian Thompto as an attorney to file my Green card and he was so unreponsive, careless, rude and never ever replied back to my emails neither calls. Wasted my 15 months for PWD and PERm and end result is it got denied because of his mistake to not including my skills in ETA-9089 besides providing him all the details. Even after it got denied, he seems like nothing happened and jeopardizing my future and now i am left with no option else than leaving US as my time is getting closer. I would definitely not recommend him and I still can't believe that i am not the first person to give this type of review but still he is serving in this organization. Seems like all Attorneys here are like same where no one care about their clients. If you wish to waste your time and money, please hire from here.

Anne went above and beyond to help me with my QDRO's, pension information and IRA's during my divorce. She was patient, kind and explained everything in detail. Anne exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend her! She's the best!!

Terrible experience. My credit card was charged under a different law firm name, when the charge was contested by my card provider. she sends a nasty email indicating she was dropping the case. Once this is resolved, she completes the work and has the audacity to send a $15 bill for fees incurred by my card provider due to her billing me under a different law firm name. When this nominal fee is contested she refuses to relent citing “small margins” . In a power play, she refuses to file the final paperwork with the court and walks away. No empathy or understanding that her clients are dealing with a divorce and all the challenges which come with it.

Anne and her team are true QDRO subject matter experts. For my situation, they developed an efficient and steam lined approach to process several QDROS including a military QDRO. Their expertise, recommendations and attention to detail in the complicated military QDRO process and procedures were stunning. The military QDRO was reviewed and approved in 10 days!!! (Due to potential complexities, we were told to be prepared for an extended timeframe - up to several months). I have to take a moment to recognize Michael Craven and Kevin Salzstein for their amazing support and expertise during my tumultuous divorce process. They were both very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I was made aware of my rights and what I was entitled to by law. When I made a decision on whether or not to pursue something, my choice was respected and I felt confident in my decision. Both were very easy to work with and respected my time. Michael is well versed in business law as well, which I found helpful as an entrepreneur. Although I did not consider my divorce to be high conflict, when things did become stressful or intense, they remained professional and helped to keep me calm as well. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lawyer who is authentic, who has a sense of humor, and who gets results. Divorce is one of the most difficult life stages and having either of these two in your corner, is worth every penny.

When I first contacted Ogar and Miller it was with the intent of hiring Helen Ogar. I had done my research and found several people that praised Helen Ogar as a “bulldog” saying she did a great job of fighting for her clients. However, Helen was not accepting new clients, so I was referred by her paralegal to her partner Todd instead. I mistakenly assumed Todd would be just like his partner. Instead, Todd seems bored by what he does, he lacks passion, has little to no fight in him, and if lawyers had such a thing as “bedside manner” Todd’s bedside manner would be nonexistent. He has little patience or tolerance for the emotional side of a divorce and does nothing to make things easier on his clients. His paralegal Nichole is really no better in that regard. I also found myself having to follow up multiple times to make sure things were getting done in a timely manner. Mistakes were made by them that could have and frankly should have been avoided. Ultimately after 6 months, and right before we were supposed to go to trial I finally became so frustrated by the service (or lack thereof) that I was being given I decided to voice my frustrations in an email. I felt I wasn’t being heard, they weren’t doing their due diligence, and I was fed up. I made it clear I would be writing a review of my experience with their law firm and it would be honest. I did not use derogatory language, I simply voiced my concerns to them. They did not take my negative feedback well and Todd decided to withdraw as my lawyer. That’s right, in the 11th hour they quit my case because their feelings were hurt. In 6 months I spent over $20,000 in legal fees to this firm, only to get nowhere with my case. I will not be recommending this firm to anyone.

Warning…do not retain Caidi Vanderporten or her father, Evan Mammas. During your consultation they will present as kind, caring, and ready to fight hard at trial. However, they will do everything to avoid trial. I paid Caidi bout $200 for her free consultation as token of my gratitude, appreciation, and respect for her time. However, after retaining her and her father, and paying them thousands to argue at trial, Caidi did the unimaginable within ~3 weeks. FIRSTLY, against my repeated objection, Caidi converted the trial from in-person to Zoom. SECONDLY, at the beginning of the hearing, she requested a PRIVATE breakout room for her to talk with the judge, opposing counsel, and child representative (all women). The trial NEVER occurred because she lied to the judge that I wanted to cancel the hearing in exchange for an agreement to see my infant son (and only child) TWICE PER MONTH for 45 minutes each “visit.” I brought the matter to her father’s attention, and he explained that he saw nothing wrong. I even had the transcripts of our conversation for evidence. THIRDLY, she filed an Order of Protection against me in an attempt to prevent me from publicly exposing her. LASTLY, she had the nerve to bill me an additional ~$5,000 after I complained about what she had done to me and my infant son. I hired them to argue, at the IN-PERSON EVIDENTIARY TRIAL, for me and my son’s entitled rights to a sufficient amount of WEEKLY parenting time. They took advantage of me while I was a desperate father and full-time graduate student that could not even make ends meet. I’ve had to use $7000 of my student loans to hire a new attorney to undo the mess they created. I’m heartbroken and hope no one else becomes a victim of her firm.

After losing my entire life savings on greedy lawyers, I found Evan Mammas. Mr. Mammas is superior to Schiller Ducanto & Fleck, and the rest. Mr. Mammas knows what he's doing. HE IS A GOD SEND. Trust me been there done that with lawyers. Mammas was the ONLY atty who was able to handle my ex husband criminal court atty. No one could handle my ex except Mr. Mammas. Do not waste your time shopping for attorneys. MAMMAS IS the best in the Chicago area. I lost everything with other lawyers. Mammas was able to get results without spending another 8 months in post decree. He knows what he is doing. I would never use anyone else again. He is skilled, experienced, articulate, strong, intelligent. He would be able to handle a divorce matter blind folded.

I had a great experience with Sean Patrick. I am out of state, but needed to pursue legal action in Illinois. From the first phone call, I knew I found my lawyer. Sean was action-oriented, he did what he said he would do, and he helped me reach a settlement that I was pleased with. I would use them again if ever the case arose. If you're looking for someone who knows the game, and will aggressively fight your case, give him a call.

Had a very unpleasant experience with Sean. He was rude, demeaning and condescending in our exchange. He said there's so little at stake in my case financially that my case essentially did not matter. To me, that was incredibly insulting because I work hard for my money and I felt belittled by his comments. I would highly recommend clients to STAY AWAY from Sean. Not professional at all.

Ignorant and rude. Do not care about families. They just want your money while there incompetence tears your family apart. They have been reported to the ARDC many times. One of there attorneys, Nancy instructed one of her clients to lie on certain matters which is perjury. The is always one sided. The attorneys drag things out by not being available for court dates or by not being prepared. This resulting in a lose of time and a huge lose of money while nothing gets accomplished. The employees don’t recommend the firm they work for. Don’t not hire this firm unless you want them to clean your bathroom.

Diane Panos and her associates were the most knowledgeable lawyers that I had interviewed. Diane was tough and never backed down to the other immature ignorant lawyers that my ex- husband had hired. She always kept a professional tone in court as she tried to educate the opposing lawyers . Diane and her associates didn't wast my time or money in court on issues that were not even relevant to my case, unlike my ex-husbands lawyers who would spend hours of court time fighting against the laws and in the end wasting to much time and money. Diane's office always returned my calls by the end of the day. They kept me informed of the law and always spent time answering my questions. My ex-husband went with a "family law" firm that didn't care about the safety or wealfar of my children. Diane and her firm worked hard to keep my children safe and happy. I would recommend Diane Panos to anyone who cares about their children and who dose not want to wast time going to court over unimportant issues.

Diane represented me in my recent divorce. I retained her having heard from several people she is a strong knowledgeable attorney. She is that plus! My ex husband is downright vicious and I knew very well I needed someone who wouldn't back down, who would protect me with everything she had and Diane did just that. I felt completely at ease and trusted her explicitly. She is very professional and highly respected. She has been doing this for a long time and it shows. I was kept informed and she always took the time to explain things to me, answer emails quickly and give good advice. I am beyond grateful to her for what she has done for me. Anne Mudd helped me survive a real estate purchase from hell. I bought a gut-rehab condo from a builder long before construction was final. I had sold my home, but as the closing date neared he announced that he would not finish on schedule. This, of course, meant cancelling movers, delaying utility hook-ups, putting everything in storage and finding a short-term rental. It soon became apparent that there were myriad short-cuts taken in his work, and outright deception on some issues. Needless to say, this became a highly emotional and stressful situation. The closing was finally set for six days before Christmas -- not an ideal time to be moving. Anne helped me keep my sanity throughout this nightmare with her expert knowledge, practical advice and supportive attitude. She was even able to negotiate a refund for work that was not done as promised -- with the builder fighting tooth and nail until the very end at the closing. If I ever need a lawyer again, Anne is definitely the person I would hire and I recommend her without reservation.

Reading her reviews I was happy to hire her. She didn't care at all about my case. Wasted all of my retainer. Took very long time to get back with anything. Kept me waiting 45 minutes when I drove and hour and a half to see her. Just plain rude

Cherly Powell is a top pick. She has went above and beyond for me. I had a very bad experience when I first hired another lawyer for my child custody case. The first lawyer promised me alot and delivered very little, it was a $3500 lesson I learned and I was forced to seek other legal advice. I was told about Cheryl through another friend and I scheduled a consultation. Cheryl told me up front the truth about what she felt about the case. It was very honest and it was the truth. She told me that it would take time and with all the factors in the case that I may not get what I want. I could tell that Cherly knew her stuff and was not going to steer me wrong. I hired her and she got right to work. Cherly work consistently for 1 1/2 years on my case. She is very responsive to my emails and she never left no stone unturned. I couldent have asked for a better lawyer. She was aggressive need be and kind when need be. She is a true professional. Kristi has represented me for the past 4 years and the work this amazing attorney has put into my case is like no other. She got me divorced in 8 months with everything I asked for, so my son and I could move on to a better life. I told her this a million times, but I truly owe my peace and new life to her. My ex decided to take me back to court several months later post divorce and she did not hesitate to pick my case back up. She fought like hell for me. I trust her greatly and we’ve built a wonderful relationship with excellent communication. NOTHING gets past her and every single thing she told me would happen, did in fact happen. She knows the law extremely well, does well explaining it to her clients and takes the children’s best interest very seriously. I then needed her help to help my significant other after a nasty divorce battle he suffered through for years and she closed his case in less than three months of taking it over. She didn’t even practice in his county anymore, but she still jumped in to help us. She reversed everything his previous attorney misguided him through and he came out on top! I imagine it was such a headache for her to battle both of our ex’s at the same time, but she made it look easy. She does not play any games and her goal is to always stand up for the kids and she does not stop until the goal is reached for the children’s sake. Thanks to her, my partner and I have closed both of our cases getting exactly what we wanted and are thrilled to finally move on with our lives. Don’t call this firm if you’re black the moment she heard a black voice she proceeded to cut me off I couldn’t finish a sentence. As I tried to proceed to tell my story she said no we can’t take your case I thought that was for a lawyer to decide.

It's one thing to NOT return phone calls, but quite another to repeatedly promise to return them and then never actually do. They might warrant more than a zero rating if they did.

I had a horrible experience with this firm. My attorney in 3 years filled no paperwork/motions that she should have in a custody case; rather she let the defendants attorney file motions without properly addressing each motion. She will call you and the other attorney, but not file anything to your benefit, so she can run up exorbitant bills. Basically, in my opinion, if you want to lose tens of thousands of dollars and have the opposing party win everything they moved for, and have to find an attorney who is a actually competent to actually get proper legal representation, then hire this firm.

I went to Mr. Clinton in distress when I was experiencing some issues at law school. Thankfully, I ended up just transferring to another law school and ultimately did not pursue my issues. I am still writing this review years later because I feel reviews can help people so much when selecting an attorney and my consultation with Mr. Clinton is one that really helped me to find peace. Attorney Clinton came across as a very knowledgeable and helpful person. I have interacted with many attorneys as I am one myself and I can honestly say that very few were as kind as Mr. Clinton. Oftentimes, attorneys can be snippy, but he was not. He is honest about if he can help you or not. At the same time, he remains a very sympathetic person whether he can help you or not. Rest assured, you can tell him your about your possible case and all your problems with no judgment. I also like the types of cases he worked on. I felt they were very noble causes and this was the reason I called him to begin with when I was having the issues I was having.

Attorney Richard R. Rodriguez is an experienced attorney. For my foreclosure defense case, he covers every perspective and does not give up. He researches laws and writes smart briefs and argues well. It has been years. He is ethical. He protects my rights. He is well respected in courts, too. He cares about his clients and provides comprehensive advice. I have had him for years. He is very reliable. He is a nice person, as well. He is very smart and thinks and analyzes well. Being an experienced attorney, his memorandum submitted to court is tailored to my situation. Hire him. You will not be disappointed. When my ideas and thoughts are not always correct, he politely but being straight to explain to me where I was wrong. He does not impose his will on me and always explains why he suggests and takes certain actions. When I had problems in other areas of my life, he offers advice with reasonable charges. I cannot say enough good about him. This is an ethical and competent attorney.

I felt as though I was already at a disadvantage being male in DuPage and seeking as much time as possible with my daughter. My ex wanted to fight over every little thing possible. After 6.5 years and several lawyers later, by the grace of God, I found Katie. Katie turned the entire case around and it was resolved in 18 months. Katie diligently reviewed the case file and had my ex figured out. She always responded to my calls and emails in a very timely manner. She was well prepared for all of our hearings. My case was a mess filled with drama and I don't know what I would have done without Katie. Thank you for everything! As of today, I have a 50/50 spilt with my daughters mom. I would highly recommend her for any and all aspects of a divorce or parentage case.

I would give her zero stars but had to give 1. She is 1 sided and cares only about money. She is not about what is best for the children. We had her from 2018 to 2024. She came to our home 1 time and met with her twice. Was supposed to have a phone appointment with her but she never called us at the scheduled time. We Called her office and her assistant said Mrs. Erin tried to call us, which we had the phone in hand and we had no missed voicemail. So she lies and she lies in court. Her billing is a joke so make sure to check your billing! SHE NEVER returns your calls and can never talk to her only her assistant.It's been hell having her. So if you are appointed her for your GAL ask for a new one asap!! She destroys family's and cares more about the money instead of the best interest of the children. Aweful experience with her.

Definitely wouldn't recommend. I feel like we were poorly represented and we were reassigned a new attorney in the middle of our case. I really feel like because it was an insurance case, they didn't fight for us. There was plenty of clear evidence that was not even mentioned in our defense.
