To make this short, I came to John, 2 weeks out of my 2nd back surgery, in dire need for legal help that I was not getting from somebody else. Immediately I hired John feeling that he would be the one to actually care about my needs and wants in this suffering I have been going through, in this CRAZY world of workers-comp. He has done things for me that I can guarantee no one else would. My now former employer was very unhelpful with managing my claim; in fact, I had been told by their assigned doctor that he was "not buying it" and I was left out in the cold. When choosing someone to represent you.. it’s often thought the lawyer is looking 100% for the interest of themselves and often the case this is what happens but fortunately for me Andrew Lopez was not that guy. For an entire year i got top notch care, support, and nothing but respect from him. Never once did I ever wonder what’s going on with my case , or did I feel an uncertainty about being taken care of. Ilian took a difficult situation and made it easier to comprehend and calm my thoughts. Trying to do this alone or with someone who doesn’t have compassion would be a scary dangerous road. I went on a 4 year adventure with Nina after I was involved and injured in a six car pileup on the freeway. Nina and her team took care of all the background work over the years and when it (finally!) came time for trial this year Nina went into full warrior mode! To say that this was an arduous case is a great understatement. A great understatement, but Nina fought for me. She fought relentlessly and she fought smart because she cared about our case and she showed that she truly cares for me. I would recommend Bob Salinas to anyone facing bad behavior from a landlord. We went to him when our landlord tried to illegally evict every person in our complex, and he guided us through the process of collecting evidence and responding to the eviction threats, and then helped us through mediation and to a settlement that kept us all in our homes. The thing I really want to stress, though, is how kind and patient he is with his clients. Needless to say we were beyond anxious and stressed out over the landlord's threats, but he was always there for us, giving us so much more of his time than he had to -- even though our case was much smaller than many of the other cases his firm handles. Going with the Salinas Law Group is one of the best decisions we've ever made.

It’s a family curse. In my family, we desire to keep the peace at any cost and come up with all kinds of excuses for not standing up for our rights. The trend ended couple of months ago when I felt cheated and refused to turn the other cheek. I contacted Attorney Sheila M. Witt. I had heard about her busy schedule, and was surprised when she responded quickly to hear about my needs. In our first phone conversation she accepted to take on the case, making sure I understood the scope and parameters of our agreement. I knew exactly where I stood. But becasue of high endeavors, efforts, and consistency of Mr. Golchin, the other driver's insurance take the responsibility of the accident and paid the maximum available amount for my medical expenses and etc. Mr Golchin is available almost 24/7 for answering your concerns and providing you with the helpful advice. He replies all the emails promptly. All the paperwork were done remotely (online) and there was no need to meet him in person. In 2014, when I was stranded in Tijuana, MX after escaping political persecution in my home country (long story), I frantically looked for an immigration attorney to seek asylum in the US. I shot off emails to several SD attorneys, asking them questions the answers to which I already knew to gauge their: 1) responsiveness and 2) expertise. You'd be surprised how often lawyers provide the wrong answers even during the first consultation. No way I'm paying a single cent to any lawyer who doesn't know the law. It turned out that Mr Golchin was the only who responded promptly AND correctly. Not only that, he PERSONALLY TRAVELED DOWN TO MEXICO just to meet me, and this was before I even retained him. That just goes to show his sheer dedication and willingness to go the extra mile in performing his duties. He left an extremely positive impression so I retained him. When I was in immigration detention, he worked tirelessly to liaise with ICE officers to get me released ASAP and also visited me personally. With his assistance, I was finally paroled into the US. When the time came to file for a work permit and to file for asylum (I-589), Mr Golchin prepared the necessary form and documents conscientiously and accurately so as to prevent unnecessary delays. When I had to defend my case in court in Los Angeles, Mr Golchin traveled more than a handful of times to my city to represent me in court. Though not a loud/flamboyant lawyer, he knows the law extremely well, he makes a huge effort to acquaint himself with the facts of your case, and when arguing he adopts a deliberate, collected, yet persuasive tone to convince the immigration judge of his position. Mr Golchin and I have always prepared through Skype conferences or personal meetings right before any court appearance. Most importantly, Mr Golchin won my case for me (I'm finally a US asylee) at first instance, and the government attorney had also promised not to appeal the decision. I think, after all said and done, this is the most important point. I wouldn't be singing praises if my case had to go to appeal. I've also always felt comfortable consulting Mr Golchin on not only immigration matters but also other legal matters. He has been of assistance to me in legal matters beyond immigration. In short, I'd highly recommend Mr Golchin for your immigration-related matters. He's the perfect combination of legal expertise and also genuine care and attentiveness for his clients.

I was unfairly sued by Bank of America and hired Susan to fight back on the lawsuit. She really went to the mat for me, fighting Bank of America’s lawyers all the way. The outcome was that they finally conceded defeat after Susan was able to demand audio tapes from the bank of conversations with me. They fought it all the way, but finally gave in. They signed a dismissal “With Prejudice” (meaning they can never bring it up again) and filed it with the Superior Court. What a relief that was. Earl Conaway is a dedicated attorney who goes the extra mile for his clients. He explores all avenues of defense, leaving no stone unturned, no avenue unexplored. And this means that whatever the final result, you can feel confident that it was the best outcome possible under the circumstances surrounding your case. Moreover, Earl keeps you informed of all developments in your case, and he is always available to discuss your concerns and answer any questions, which is so important considering being charged with a crime is already stressful enough without being kept in the dark by your attorney. I was arrested and charged for suspicion of driving under the influence and the initial blood results from the crime lab showed a blood alcohol content of 0.09%. It appeared that my goose was cooked and that I would end up with a DMV suspension AND a criminal conviction. But Earl did not simply roll over and advised me to take a deal for a first time DUI, like most attorneys do. No. Instead, he retained his own experts who performed additional testing on my blood sample and they returned with a BAC of 0.07%!!! But he did not stop there. He then subpoenaed all the evidence in my case, including the video of my driving and arrest, and he studied this evidence very closely, identifying every instance where the arresting officer had lied on the police report and poking holes in the prosecution's case. In the end, the DMV set aside my suspension and returned my license, and with their case against me now eviscerated by Earl, the prosecution was reduced to offering me a deal where I would plea to reckless driving, without the presence of alcohol (Dry Reckless), which I accepted. I have no doubt that had I chosen to spend the time and money to go to trial with Earl, we would have prevailed. But I live in Southern California and it simply did not make economic sense for me to push the matter to trial. If you get in trouble and need a skilled advocate, I highly recommend Earl Conaway.

I was a cyclist hit in a bicycle vs. auto accident with disputed liability (50/50) over who ran the red light in an intersection in San Francisco. I was referred to Debra by a close friend and attorney. Debra thoroughly prepared me for what lay ahead. Before even sending the settlement demand letter, Debra did a huge amount of work on my behalf. She collected all of my medical records, bills, and other documentation. She engaged the services of an awesome biomechanical engineer to help reconstruct the accident. At a time when I only wanted to focus on healing, Debra helped me to understand that the accident, injuries and surgical implants in my broken tibia were only part of my suffering. She wisely advised me to visit an orthopedic surgeon, who could explain potential future mobility issues I may have. The detailed report and advice I received helped me to make the important decision to have the hardware removed that was so uncomfortable in my leg. Debra's support was empowering. Accident: Sept 24, 2012 Injury: Hair Line fracture of Left shoulder I had tried pursuing legal action with a different lawyer before and it was a nightmare. The lawyer had me gathering all the medical and insurance info and I felt like I was doing all of the work myself. At the 2 year mark I wanted to throw in the towel. The guy that hit my car at $15,000 insurance cap, my unpaid medical bills had hit $30,000 and my out of pocket expenses had hit $4,000. Luckily Mike was referred to me by a trusted coworker, and I am so thankful for that. He is relentlessly persistent in not only closing a case, but doing it fairly and in the best interest of his clients. Even that far into it, Mike told me that he felt he hadn't exhausted all avenues and he would like to keep pursuing the claim. I told him go for it but if he ever felt it was a no win situation, to just let me know. I trusted him completely. Not once did he ask me for money. He said my job was to focus on my well-being and that he would handle the rest. Every now and then he send me a form to sign with a short note that he hadn't give up. Mike just asked for phone numbers and addresses and any names of people I had talked to, and that was the extent of my efforts.
