CJ Lamb was outstanding with my representation. There were some challenges that were a result of the condo association not settling a civil suit that CJ navigated to keep the deal together and also went far and above in chasing down UPS trucks literally to obtain paperwork that was supposed to be delivered overnight but was not.

When my family and I were first introduced to Terence, we were immediately impressed by his professionalism and compassion that was shown towards us. While driving down the interstate, my father was slammed into by a truck, severely injured, and taken to the Emergency Room. Throughout the case, Terence’s attention to detail, strong work ethic and expertise of trucking accidents eased many of my concerns. He is the consummate professional and his thirst for justice never interfered with his sense of fairness. He is not your "typical" lawyer and, in that regard, he doesn't achieve "typical" results. I first met Attorney Ronald Gafford about ten years ago across from Newberry Plaza, in Chicago's Goldcoast area. It was just after having a business meeting and lunch with an international business associate that knew him and introduced us. We did not exchange contact information but I was left with a very good impression of him. He appeared to be a very knowlegeable and well established Chicago based lawyer and good friend of my business associate.

I came to him regarding a car accident. He was able to guide me through the whole process of what was going on and the next steps to take. Friendly office. Told me what he could do for me and if I wasn't good with that than then he would help me get in touch with other lawyers. Did not hire him because I wanted to go to trial. Still referred me to an experienced trial lawyer so going to him was a good decision.

Andrew handled our first home purchase for me and my wife. His work was excellent, he walked us through every step of the way (we needed everything explained to us as we are first time home buyers). He was always available to us and extremely prompt with getting back to us ( I can't tell you how important that was for us being novices in this field). The whole process was nerve-wrecking since we had no experience whatsoever, but Andrew was able to calm everything down with his steady and professional manner. He found a few mistakes the sellers' attorney made before closing, as well as negotiated a repair credit from the sellers which was around $3000 more than what we expected!!!!
I couldn't be more satisfied with the work Andrew did for us, and his fee is very reasonable. Definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for a lawyer in Chicago.

Elizabeth or “Liz” how her office staff calls her, is a down to earth person. She makes you feel at ease despite the stress involved with a car accident. I hired Besserman Law office after I had my last lawyer left me at the last-minute right before trial. I read reviews and had a few consultations and felt like this Law office was right for me. Right away she had an uphill fight on her hands and she was more then up to the challenge.
She worked relentlessly to get caught up and to try and turn things around. Within no time, she was caught up and helping me answer questions I had had from the start. She was always a straight shooter and never sugarcoated things. She always kept me involved in what she and I needed to do to move things ahead. Mostly she always made sure I understood what was going on since this was my first time in court ever.
In the end, she ended a 1 year battle in about 2 months of her working on it. In doing so she went above and beyond what I expected. She never backed down even with the odds against her. Most importantly she tried to put the kids in this case first and not her pocket book. Doing things in the fastest way she could and in the best quality she could.
Finally, she will always come highly recommended by me and people in my family that had to hear my stories. I can only hope that she will always be my go-to lawyer if I ever need to go back for anything else. I am truly Grateful for all she has done for me and I could not have wished for a better lawyer.

Ms besserman was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I were very nervous and scared as to the task we were about to take on. Ms Besserman was wonderful with making us feel confident and comfortable with the decision that we were making. Jeff was quick to respond to ALL my emails. Sometimes if I sent him an email late on Friday he would return them on his weekend. As most people know workers Compensation cases take quite awhile to become finalized. You really get to know your lawyer when things take 18 to 24 months to resolve. Jeff was great all the way thru. I would recommend him to anyone who has a Workers Comp- case or other legal claims.
My Workers Comp case was NOT A LARGE one, but Jeff made me feel like I was a important as someone who had a much larger case. Thanks again to Jeff Bert and the Brooks law firm of Rock Island, IL.

You messed up but relief is nearby. You want an expert who will also listen to you, explain the situation and your options and put you in the best situation for a positive outcome. Martin is your guy. After you hire him when you are going through waves of freaking out you can come to Avvo and re-read the 100+ positive comments (I've read them all for comfort 8 times by now) and know you've done all you can to help your situation.
I put myself in a tough situation. I went out for a few drinks, nothing egregious but when I was leaving a parking lot I goosed it around a corner and squeeled my tires. I was pulled over and declined to talk the the officers about where I was that evening or participate in any sobriety tests. The prosecutors for DUI trials in Lake county are farmed out to a private firm and the state's firm sent their #1 top guy. Martin got us a Not Guilty on DUI and Reckless driving, and a modest fine and court supervision for squealing tires. Martin went head-to-head with the state's top dui prosecutor and left him noticeably pissed while we walked out with a huge W.
You'll be comforted by his understanding of Lake county courts and procedures. He will listen to you. We worked together to craft a defense and no point anything that I thought important was left unconsidered.
Even though my case hit a complication and dragged on a bit his flat rate fees were clear fair. Quite honestly they were about 75% of what I expected and was willing to pay for a proven winner.
He's super busy but will always make time for you. Most importantly, he's a genuinely good guy.
There's a reason for Martin's top rating. Do yourself a favor and pick the best. Get the free consult and make your own choice. It's hard to put a price in peace of mind. If you've read this, you've been informed. Unless you have another proven rockstar at your disposal to consider I strongly advise you to go with Martin.

In 2001, our family hired Michael to handle our father's passing at a nursing home. It was a very hard time for our family, but he was so kind, gracious, understanding, and sympathetic throughout the process. You don't find many lawyers who have a soft heart, well in my opinion that is. He handled our case professionally, answered our questions in a timely matter and assured us we were winning our fight, and we did. Mitchell Hoffman & Wolf represented my family in the construction related death of my son. I met Paul in the initial interview as my ex-husband was referred by a friend to the firm. Paul displayed a fierce edge that was off-putting and I knew immediately he would be successful in negotiating a settlement changing my son's life to a legacy.
