I would like to share a little bit about Steve and his staff...I was injured pretty badly in a fall at no fault of my own. Nervous , scared what I would do after Er visit and 3 surgeries later Mr Proudfoot assured me all would be ok and he would handle everything and he did handle everything. I didn't worry about anything if I called his office I always got an answer but honestly I didn't really have to call. I would just to ask if they got everything they needed I would have never guessed I would have been taken care of so well as I was with him and his staff . I will start by saying Mr proudfoot was not our first choice or our second but I will say third time definitely a charm. After my wife was involved in a motor vehicle accident where she was involved in personal property damage, we were left wondering what exactly we were liable for concerning the other party. So we did probably what mosth people do who fell victim to whoever had the catchiest commercial on TV take it from personal experience we were so wrong lol so my wife dialed 8 and of course all we did was wait. Our first attorney made phone contact we never met anyone from that office and quite frankly sat there stale and stagnant, so much for big city lawyers needless to say. We eventually made the right decision to call Steve Proud foot I was shocked right away we met face to face with not just a paralegal but with Steve directly he gave us a rundown of the procedure and what to expect . Then steve not only went above and beyond but had many face to face meetings. Throughout this journey you could tell overtime he actually cared about my wife, her needs and took care of our family needs. He was a big city lawyer with a small town heart and when he said not to worry he would take care of everything we actually believed him and he showed us that not only does he know the case law and procedure but he talked to us so we would understand. He did just that took care of my wife's needs got us a reasonable settlement without even stepping foot in a court room. So again he got us big city results and we never left our small town atmosphere. My neighbor decided to cut his own tree down instead of hiring a professional tree service. Yes, he screwed up and it fell on my screen porch. I got an estimate for repair that was $3000 and the assumption was that my neighbor would pay it. He paid me $500 after 3 months. No pun intended, but that just doesn’t cut it! I hired Robert to resolve this and he wrote one letter to my neighbors insurance company. 2 weeks later I got a check in the mail for $2500! Nice work from Robert.. In May 2020 amid the stress of the coronavirus shut down, I went for a Saturday morning motorcycle ride and a breath of fresh air.
After an oncoming car crossed double yellow lines and nearly amputated my leg, we learned that insurance companies tend to believe car drivers over Motorcyclists.
14 months and 12 surgeries later I will eventually walk again. However, it looked like that was going to cost my family everything.
Both insurance companies were claiming it was my fault in spite of evidence to the contrary. Even the famous "motorcycle lawyers" wouldn't take the case since it was just my word against theirs.
Both companies ended up paying out the maximum.
But that's not the end of the of the story. At this point most lawyers would've taken their cut and gone home.
But that's not what happened.
It turns out Medicare doesn't pay for motorcycle accidents and were coming after me for every bit of it. This last bit was not even in his purview.
Nonetheless, Shahriar went to work on them for months even though that was not part of our contract but just because in his own words "it's just the right thing to do".
I don't know if he eventually convinced them of that or if they gave in so he would stop following up with them every day. Either way, they accepted a greatly reduced payment.
I hope you never need to, but if you ever get in a situation where you need someone to fight for you like "a bulldog on a pant leg" and never give up because that's the right thing to do, I highly recommend Mr. Shahriar Kashanian. He won't let you down.

Let's face it. There are more lawyers in New York City than you can shake a stick at, but nine times out of ten you will meet attorneys who are disinterested, inept, burned out or simply looking for a way to make a quick buck. We hired Gerry to represent us in a medical malpractice suit--as a doctor made some careless mistakes in surgery resulting in the death of my mom. We interviewed a total of six other law firms (2 being top/successful firms in Manhattan and Long Island). Gerry was hired do to his personal presentation (initial office visit) and a strong personal reference that came indirectly from a leader and past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers association, who was also a competitor. Gerry and or his assistant Francis will keep you informed weekly or however you want it set up by email or even phone, never letting you wonder at any point of the litigation what is going on with your case. Remember that your lawyer will representing you during a long and lengthy process, so it is crucial to hire one that makes a good impression & aggressive, but not annoying, as your lawyer will have to deal with many types of personalities during your case. Gerry seemed to fit the criteria. He also helped guide us on how we went about setting up a special needs trust for my disabled sister so she could benefit from the settlement. and we did get a decent settlement. I started working with Gerry about 4.5 years ago, when I discovered his web site and turned for help with a wrongful death case involving my wife. Once retained, Gerry investigated a potential legal action by obtaining medical records and having the case reviewed by a medical expert.

I had quite a few driving-related tickets and was facing potentially thousands of dollars in fines in addition to points on my license (which would have been even more expensive). I chose Jonathan because of all the reviews that said he was an effective lawyer who was also sincere and patient with his clients, and the reviews were spot on. He was in constant communication with me and made me feel comfortable throughout the process of getting all of the tickets resolved.
Lawyers are obviously extremely busy and will often try to push you off the phone or cut the conversation short because they have other things to do. I had numerous questions, mainly because I'd never gone through anything like this before, and he was incredibly patient with me. He gave me thorough, detailed answers to all of my questions, and he was extremely polite as well.
As for his efficacy as a lawyer, I ended up having my fines reduced significantly and I ended up with 0 points on my license. Honestly, I didn't know lawyers like Jonathan still existed. I hope I never have to, but if I did, I would work with Jonathan again in a heartbeat.

In my personal injury case after I interviewed a few attorneys. The reason I went with Mr. Clarke is because I did not feel rushed and he answered all of my questions. He was also extremely intelligent and well spoken. I also liked that he did not pressure me to sign with his firm. He told me to take some time to look over the retainer and to sign it at my convenience.
Throughout my case he was extremely compassionate and he always either took my call or called me back by the end of the day. I pleasantly surprised at how he conducted depositions because he was a warrior. I do not think I would have gotten the substantial award I got had it not been for him. He is a true lawyer.
