Basil was a real pro in handling the purchase of our home in Bay Ridge. As first time homebuyers, Basil patiently guided us through the process and helped us negotiate a number of concessions with the sellers in our favor. My Mom, who has Alzheimer’s disease was being denied adequate care by the insurance company after having asked for it several times. I retained Nancy Brady, hoping that she could help me get the care she needs. Nancy Brady gathered all the proof needed to show how my mom needed the care and went up against the insurance company and WON first time! Thanks to Nancy, my mom will now have the care she deserves for the duration of her life with this devastating disease! In 2017 thanks to a recommendation from friends, we began the process of setting up a trust and beginning to plan for my parents’ later years. Near the end of 2021 as I was well into the planning stages for my father to be around longer than my mother the script was suddenly changed. I again reached out to Brady and Bader for advice and soon after I finished gathering up the needed paperwork to begin planning my mother's long-term care, my mother passed as well. Brady and Bader have supported my family every step of the way. I finally turned to Brady and Bader to serve as my real estate attorney on my parents’ house which was in the trust and everything went smoothly. I definitely recommend their services.

I had a difficult time communicating with Tracey. Specifically, I asked her to "clarify" why the final bill was more than "twice" the estimate she gave. Her response was "I will put down my pen" if you do not pay. No clarification. In fact her response is against the code of ethics for the New York Bar which advocates resolving disputes "amicably". Tracey was not resolving disputes "amicably" in this instance. In fact, she is often less than "amicable", and unprofessional, if she feels challenged.
As well, her office "makes mistakes". For example, I have the same documents notarized "twice" because they "expired". The reason they "expired" is because we were missing a Certificate of Death. I expect Tracey to be on top of required documentation and not come up "short" the last minute.
Bottom line, the transaction took six months because of Tracey's lack of attention to details (such as the missing Certificate of Death). To rub salt on the wound, she charged more than twice the estimate because it took "so long" to close.
Do not recommend.

I can’t say Thank You enough to this law firm and Eric Winnert! We live approximately 5 hours from the office and Eric came to our home to get the much needed paperwork signed by my very ill spouse for a mesothelioma law suit. Poor man had to drive through the snow belt in February just to make sure we got what was needed before anything happened. I became a client of Hurwitz Whitcher & Malloy in November of 2020 due to injuries I sustained transporting equipment to Work from Home during the pandemic on April 7, 2020. I already have a disability, born missing my left limb & no joint in my right thumb. You want a lawyer who doesnt send the correct and proper court papers, you found your guy. I really wish I could give him 0 stars had to hire another lawyer after Sebastian’s “2 month case “ is now over 2 years.
