Trust me when I say there is no better attorney. Dan was recommended to me by another attorney for a rather complicated case with Social Security. When I spoke to Dan over the phone, he explained the process thoroughly and was very patient with me when I had questions. As a resident of San Francisco, I have an array of attorneys to choose from, especially in the Bay Area, and out of all the ones I spoke to (there were several), Dan was the best one for the job. Dan is definitely worth the commute to his Sacramento office.
Appealing to Social Security is a tedious and stressful process, and Dan handled my case with the utmost care. He's extremely knowledgeable and was clear-cut at explaining the process to me where I could understand it plainly. It took roughly over one year to hear back from Social Security, but Dan would check in with me periodically to reassure me he's on top of things, and that we're just waiting to hear back from Social Security. Dan is incredibly intelligent and is skilled with these proceedings. He was very calm throughout the process and explained to me in detail what’s to be expected, and ultimately won my case. I’ve been in law enforcement for over 40 years, and I’ve known Dan Lee for the past 10 years. I’ve dealt with more attorneys in my profession than I care to count, but I’m glad to have Dan as my lawyer. He helped me go through the long and stressful workers compensation process this last time, and even though I hated it for the most part, my partner Dan took care of me. He explains everything clearly and in detail, and he tells me all the good news with the bad. He even helped me pull through on my Social Security SSI case which was also a headache. I would look elsewhere if you need someone to handle your probate case matters with compassion and understanding. A few years back, I contacted The Probate House to see if they could help with some a la carte Guardianship services after my wife had passed away unexpectedly, leaving me as a single parent of 2 young kids. After a few email exchanges, it was clear The Probate House wasn't interested in helping me unless they received full Guardianship case representation. That's fine, no hard feelings...we're just not a good fit for each other. It was then the principal of the firm inexplicably chose to mock me in an email for asking for a la carte services (rather than full representation). This email was likely meant to be private to her staff but in hitting reply all I was cc'd on it. The exchange was wholely unprofessional and showed a total lack of compassion and empathy during a vunerable time for me; the behavior was particularly surprising because the principal later claimed in a follow-up apology she had just recently lost her own spouse. Probate matters are particularly sensitive in nature, and clients deserve to be working with genuinely supportive and understanding staff in these proceedings but I didn't receive any semblance of that here.

Imagine opening a mail from the IRS stating that you owe several thousand dollars in taxes because you did not properly report your cryptocurrency. My partner and my heart's jumped into a panic!
We knew Prerna also does tax law in addition to being an excellent immigration attorney, so we reached out to them. Prerna got back to us ASAP, and helped us file an amended tax return while running up against a tight deadline from the IRS. Prerna so skillfully and patiently walked me through how to properly document my cryptocurrency, with the appropriate cost bases! About a month after filing our amended return through Prerna, we actually got a nice return on our taxes instead of owing the nightmarish several thousand dollars to the IRS.
