We hired Kendall VanConas and this firm to update our estate - they initially said they'd print our documents and give return them to us in a day or two - instead they took weeks just to print copies of our estate documents and only gave them back weeks later after we had to prompt them and ask for them.
After that, we had to continually call and send emails to repeatedly ask when we were going to ever hear from them about our estate planning after our initial meeting in May, we were told their assistant went on vacation so they were behind and would try to catch up soon (but still never heard anything from them after that), weeks went by and again we reached out to ask when things would move forward and were told Kendall had surgery and had "gotten behind" on things in her recovery (We were never told she was out for a medical leave prior to that). We had to contact them again on July 1st only to be told they were all out of the office until after July 8th - this firm doesn't do work, they do billing and make excuses, that's about it.
They also refused to give us notes from the one meeting we had with them - for which we were billed $750 and told, the notes from that meeting were "privy for them" not for us so our request for a recap of our own estate planning meeting was refused.
Do not waste your time with this firm, they have NO incentive to move forward with your project or estate planning, they will take you as a client then sit on your estate planning and DO NOTHING, but bill you for any meetings, then drop the ball, and you will never hear from them again, very unprofessional and our experience with them was completely frustrating and a total waste of our time, as well as costly - as we got nothing from our $750 meeting with them, not even an outline or meeting recap of the notes they took from our estate planning meeting.
They also don't communicate at all, and never told us about the lead attorney's surgery or time out from the office for her recovery - and apparently, no one else in the firm does anything. (They take a full week off for July 4th - the entire firm apparently, as no one responded to our July 1 email as they were all "out of the office until after July 8th). After July 8th we still heard NOTHING. Kendall told us she would follow up with a timeline of our estate planning status the following week, but she never did, and that never happened.
When they had an assistant out of the office that also apparently makes all their work come to a screeching halt - all of this is inexcusable, unprofessional and is a poor representation of a firm that is supposed to be on their game helping people update their estate planning.
You will likely pass away before they ever get to updating your estate - we moved on and found a much better firm that actually does work, and would strongly recommend people stay away from this firm if they need something done in a reasonable time and feel communication is important at all, as this firm doesn't communicate, they make excuses when you reach out because if you hire them, you will be the one doing all the planning and reaching out, they do not do anything at all but sit on your estate planning and watch time go by!

Capstone was about the only law firm willing to deal with Seterus Mortgage, a subsidiary of IBM, that violated debt collection practices allowed in California. I could not be happier that Seterus ended up paying out a lot of Californians and spending a lot of money on defense and plaintiff costs but wish the checks had been more to everyone. California law protected Seterus from a larger payment with a ceiling on the awarded damages. Seterus looks like it will continue to have more problems with other suits against their inept billing practices that generated phone calls to Californians at crazy hours, including after payments had been made and the account was current. Capstone represented many of us against Seterus as they were not willing to settle until Capstone Law convinced the courts and Seterus that they had violated civil law after the suit was prematurely dismissed in San Diego, leading the case to California appeals and Supreme courts before Seterus was willing to agree to settle.

I found Bisnar Chase after doing a Google search for "Accident Attorneys That Specialize In Commercial Policies." I'm so glad I did! Immediately upon contacting them I felt warmly welcomed & fully informed about the process. They settled my case so fast & got me the absolute best amount possible! Marta De La Torre was my attorney and she kept in constant contact with me providing me updates & keeping me aware of everything necessary to help my case! I was hit by an SUV while walking in 2021. Mr Raven told me he could get me over $100,000. Without going to court he knew I didn’t want to go to court He said he could negotiate with insurance companies so that I wouldn’t have to pay them any money. It wasn’t until mid 2024, that Ted fully explained-that insurance companies can demand money back when you use your insurance when you’ve had an accident.And I started getting bills from my insurance co in 2022. I even had to pay interest! I had to send him my information more than once as his Assistant misplaced the documents that I originally sent. And he dropped the ball. There were some follow-up visits that were necessary for me to have explaining how the damage to one leg impacted my ability to walk and resulted in me, needing to have surgery on the other leg, and also exacerbated the original leg injured by being hit by the SUV. He’s very unorganized and when he and if your cases isn’t worth a lot of money, he’ll stop communicating with you wound up with $16,000. He wound up with $22. He charges 45% and we had talked about him not taking 45% given the errors that he made, but he still charged me 45%, because he said he had to file the case in court, but we never went to court. He only agreed to reduce it to just 40% if I didn’t post my negative review. So beware, there may be lots of positive reviews but I guarantee you he negotiated to avoid the negative ones. I would just stay away. He's not organized And he’s not honest.

Raven Law is an amazing law firm. As a small business, Ted Raven delivers an absolutely amazing personal touch. Ted would always return my calls and explain things to me thoroughly and clearly to the point that I was never left with any questions. Even though I had medical insurance through Kaiser and Medi-Cal, they were both asking for large sums of money from my settlement that Ted was able to negotiate and bring down significantly, to the point that I was able to get a larger settlement for myself. I would absolutely recommend Raven law to anybody who is looking for an injury lawyer. It was so nice actually talking to an attorney and not just people relaying messages for an attorney. I hope I'm never in a position where I have to have an injury lawyer again... But if I do... Ted will be my first phone call. Patrik Griego and Christy Keller went above and beyond in handling a near death drunk-driving accident that affected my entire family. Not only were they professional and impactful on the settlement portion of the case, but also on the criminal conviction. Consulting Ethan Tidwell was an absolute godsend during my complex divorce case that involved the nightmare complexities of custody issues, finances, and an abusive/vindictive ex-spouse who falsely spread accusations about me during the divorce in an attempt to secure sole custody and leave the state with my children. And prevent my children from having a relationship with their father. Whenever Ethan was available for consultation, he was consistent in providing extremely valuable, honest, and reliable information. I was impressed in how I could ask Ethan any question and he always had an answer right away backed by extensive knowledge, objective facts, and a strong understanding of the inner workings of family court. He is also able to remember facts well and can regurgitate granular details from our conversations of months prior. This gave me confidence in speaking to him about my case. His guidance helped me in not only the legal aspects of my case but also in maintaining a positive bearing during what was one of the most emotionally-difficult periods of my life. Ethan has a good grasp of knowing what is important and what isn't, which often provided relief for me on many occasions when I was overstressed out about something. I remain more than impressed in how he continued to provide support for my case despite sometimes having to travel long distances within the state of California to represent his clients in other counties/jurisdictions as not all of his cases remain solely in Los Angeles. Additionally, Ethan is a family man and somehow has found a balance between being an active father and supporting me during my divorce. To me, this speaks to his time management, character, and credibility of being an attorney who cares despite all that life will throw at one in their personal life. My case went to trial recently and I am beyond happy with the results. Patrick and Sam represented me in a jury trial and I was ruled in favor for over 10 million dollars. After I was in a motorcycle vs. car crash I didn’t know what to do. I felt like I was lost and I was doing everything I could on my own to no avail.
