This being my first time to file for divorce, 11 years of marriage, I had no experience when it came to hiring a divorce attorney. I had gone through two attorneys before I found the one that would legitimately represent me. When I originally filed it was at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the first attorney as much as I thought she was a lovely person, had no interest in fighting for anything she would just say “I’m just here to Divorce you”. Being on a permanent disability, W/that I ended up homeless and without our one luxury family car after paying 11 yrs more then half of monthly mortgage bills & vehicle. So I hired a new attorney who was quite expensive, he took a lot of vacations, but did not deliver on my behalf. A week before my pre-trial he decided to file a motion to withdraw “do to Non payment” which was A false statement, So at his hearing to withdraw he changed his withdrawal to “His own Mental Problems”. ..Leaving me to attend the pre trial alone with No legal representation- to face my ex-and his attorney, who expected me to walk away. I explained to the judge I would need time to find a competent Attorney, which he granted 30days to do so. I did not know what to do at this point.,But I did not give up.. I had made some calls to other attorneys, nobody wanted the challenge this late in my case, if they did the price was as ridiculous as they were.. Then I contacted Debra Sutton, that’s the day my life changed for the better:) I knew Ms. Sutton was the one to represent me during our initial meeting. She was Confident, attentive, caring, professional, very knowledgeable & asked many questions & set realistic expectations. Even her Staff has always been so kind, professional, delivering exceptional service. Debra Sutton genuinely cares, she listens & remembers, she is Not Intimidated by Anyone…She is a Winner! She took the time to review my case & all the previous mistakes. She worked hard to turn things around for me..I received alimony & other items requested. She is brilliant, aggressive & a pleasure to work with.
