Mark was instrumental in defending my partner while they were in an unnecessary and involuntary Baker Act hold. They could’ve easily been another victim of this predatory system that hides behind the facade of “helping people.” While that may be the goal, it was definitely not the reality they experienced. When the facility suggested they might hold them past the 72hr deadline, I contacted Mark. He and his team acted quickly and was able to secure my partner’s release BEFORE the 72hr point. He actively provided updates and responded quickly whenever we reached out to him, even after-hours. A family member had been wrongfully Baker Acted. The hospital was refusing to release her even after 3 days time. Actually the hospital made it clear they had no intention of releasing her. She had a PTSD situation that lasted 2 hours and was stable after that With out the help of this attorney she still be there because of our quality insurance.
