On July 22, 2008, I hired Daphne Clements for a civil case. We had a contract and I paid her a retainer of $3000,00. On July 23, 2008 she deposited the check. This was the last time I heard from her. She took my $3000.00 retainer and never performed and services for me. So not only was I out the$3000.00 retainer, but I had to hire a new attorney. To this day this money has never been returned. I hope she does not do this to anyone else. I did not forget the rating, she receives zero stars from me, but i had to at least mark one star. When I checked into this matter with the State, they said she had been suspended and I would have to file a law suit to recover my retainer that was paid and no services given.

I was involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident back in March, she made dealing with everything extremely smooth. She would even reach out personally to see how I was doing and if there was anything she could do to help above and beyond. Took care of all the insurance and medical needs.

I contacted Ms. Stevens to assist me with my Camp Lejune matter. She has worked as co-counsel on the case. Without her I would have missed the deadlines for filing my claim.

For me, she was the advocate I needed throughout my divorce process and we got a fair settlement. At 60, moving into retirement, I was scared about my financial future. I feel that we got the best outcome possible, settling at mediation rather that going through a court trial, which saved me alot of money and stress. Daphane was professional, honest, thorough, educated, supportive and guided me through an unfamiliar and scary time. answering all the questions I had. She was directly available for me whenever I needed information or an explanation. Despite the divorce, I enjoyed working with Daphane and her staff.

Daphane did such an amazing job with my child custody case . I had an out-of-state lines, child custody issue, and Daphne helped me with a long distance parenting plan that I was comfortable with, and also allowed my daughter to go to Texas and without me being worried they would try something.
