Dan was very caring and knowledgeable. Pleasure to deal with answered our questions and didn't mind me calling after our initial consultation and still gave me consul on what to do.

Writes letters on behalf of association boards without having proof to verify false accusations. Not surprisingly had no response when proven he was incorrect. In response to your response: I did and you did nothing to correct it. Diligent is not exactly the word I would use...

My family lost our mother in July. It was unexpected and very hard. One of my sisters and I had been made personal representatives for our mothers trust. I live out of state and my sister lives 3 hours from Lakeland. We went for a consult with an attorney in Lakeland and he only added to our stress with arrogance and pure disregard to what we were going through. Our mother in her wisdom had used an attorney that no longer practiced but had transferred his clients to Mr. Reed. We met with Mr. Reed and his assistant Angela Rose. We were treated with the utmost respect and they truly were compassionate and very professional. Any questions we have had they have answered. They have been knowledgeable and caring. Dan Pilka has been the Creekside Community Assoc. of Polk County lawyer for 7 years and has settled many legal disputes in a favorable fashion for Creekside. In fact, we have never lost a case with Dan. Dan has the most amazing collection department. The staff handles our owners with compassion and do their best to let the owners know they are there to help. Even with that gentle spirit they are always able to collect the past due bills within the Florida State statutes. I would highly recommend Pilka & Associates, P.A. and if you see negative comments, they are probably coming from the people that have lost to Dan.

Definitely giving a 5 star rating. After working with a big firm in my case they pretty much exhausted 12,000 and got nothing accomplished. I was skeptical about highering a small firm but very glad I did. She accomplished everything within a few months compared to my previous lawyer which did not get anything accomplished. Definitely don't be scared to higher her. She is always on top of everything and also keeps you updated. If this rating could get more than 5 stars it would.

I loved working with Ms. Askew she was so helpful in my case and ensured I was happy and satisfied with the outcome. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

The reason I give a one star is because of the intake representative "Alex" he honestly deserves a four or five. He was so kind. However, aside from this the attorney and I can't say a name for I have no idea whom it was. It worked liketlike this Alex gets basic info passes it to an attorney at which they then tell Alex if they will take your case or not. I was really stunned that I was told they would not be able to take on my case. What gives me reason to give a bad rating is that I wasn't even given the decency as to why. Is it because they felt I not have a case? Is it simply because they think it's not worth while as not enough money can be made? Is there not enough evidence? I have no idea as to why and therefore I feel it was simply a waste of time. They advertise as they let you know where they believe you stand. Well in my experience that is just not so. They may be good on the cases they take however I can't say. I gained nothing but lost time. Put back to square one. So I personally won't be giving any recommendations would hate to give one the possibility of wasting their time ESPECIALLY when you don't even get an explanation as to why. Think that's derespecting and belittling.

My husband and I asked Shamika to review our estate papers - will, Power of Attorney, etc. It had been a few years since they were originally drawn up by another firm. Shamika was thorough and provided us with suggestions for additions to our estate files, all of which she implemented at our request.
