Of If I could give less than one star I would. Absolutely disgusted - they screwed me over. Do NOT recommend this company. Highly un ethical!!

This office actively worked with my husband's abusive adoptive mother to hide his diagnosis of epilepsy and blame it on mental illness. Then when we asked them to pursue his case for SSI last year, they dropped it and stated they didn't want to handle it anymore due to noncompliance, even though they knew of and had documented medical proof of his epilepsy and knowing that he would get almost immediate SS benefits with no waiting. I gave Mike sexton one last chance to represent my husband and redeem himself and his firm last week. He chose not to. Instead, I stated I would have to file a complaint with the Florida State's Attorney 's office AND US attorney general, since we are talking about benefits my husband is entitled to under federal law. Mr. Sexton refused to give me his FL bar license # and hung up on me. Big mistake. He has underestimated my intelligence, resolve, dedication to my husband's cause, and my commitment to exposing his abusive adoptive mother. He is just one of many corrupt lawyers in Lee County who chose to hide the truth about my husband's illness. His abusive mother even adopted him as a special needs child, getting extra money from the government for his epilepsy, yet chose to hide it from everyone. She even swore to me last year "there was nothing neurologically wrong with that boy" after I expressed concern about his obvious seizures, and all his life denied him the crucial medical care he needed, choosing instead to lead everyone to believe he was mentally ill. Shame on this firm for covering up this mess. If you are seeking SSI or SSDI benefits and considering this firm to represent you, you are making a huge mistake. They will gladly throw your case in favor of any evil relative and their bribes who seeks merely to cheat you out of needed benefits you deserve. And even if you don't have an evil abusive adoptive mother, know they probably won't pursue your case as fervently as you'd wish. You're just another case with $$$ attached.

Unless you have been denied several times. Don't waste your money. I could and did almost everything myself.

I had a great experience with Avard Law. My case was handled during time of Covid. It took a little over 2 years which from my understanding is less an average. My attorney's handled my case with the upmost professional and with enthusiasm with an outstanding outcome and I 2ould also like to thank the staff behind the scenes that deserve credit as well.
