We won my son's case, AFTER 5 years, and with minimal help from anyone in this firm. The sad part is, before getting too big for their britches, they used to be a very caring and professional firm. I used Carol myself, years ago. I have referred friends and family here, but I promise you, NEVER AGAIN! The left hand doesn't know there is any other hand(s) and on average, we had to fax documents to them, repeatedly, after "not receiving " or misplacing them. I had to reach out to ,Senator Rubio, after a problem happened, and Avard did nothing.

My attorneys as well as the support staff have made my case a priority, when I doubted they were steadfast.

Despite the fact that I did win my case with the help of this lawfirm, I have never experienced such cold, semi-unprofesional people in my life. The first person handling my case would not return calls or call back when she said she would. I spoke with several different people over time (I had no clue what their titles were, just names). I started to keep a journal of the date, time, who I spoke to and about what. People constantly changed. I never talked to my attorney until a few weeks before my case finally went to trial after 1½ years and two denials from SSD. And the only reason he called is because I wanted to cancel my case due to the anxiety of the process which made my condition worse. He convinced me to proceed since I finally got a court date. I was not allowed to ask questions or make comments to my attorney while in court on the phone (covid protocol). He said there is no reason for that. The firm made me feel like a "case number" on a conveyer belt...just another case of many which I do understand. But I didn't feel like they "had my back" though. It's just paperwork and brief phone calls. Then months with no updates, I had to call. I thought since I had a lawyer, they would take care of everything but you still have to speak with SS directly which adds to the confusion and stress. But DON'T go at it alone; get an attorney. If you are looking for attorneys like on TV commercials that meet with you and make you feel warm and fuzzy, that make you feel like they care, then go somewhere else (not that I expected this, just wanted to feel like I was a person not a case/inconvenience). If this is not important to you and don't mind the things I said above, then go with this firm. I did win my case, but the judge allowed me to explain my condition in full detail including treatments, so this played a big part.

Mike Sexton and Kimberly C. They were very efficient in handling my SSDI. Mike briefed me on the process and what to expect at the hearing. I would definitely recommend them and Avard Law.
