My name is Dennis. I'm a retired plumber who thought of an invention worthy of a patent. I searched for a lawyer to help me and came across the Patent Professors ad. So I read the reviews (not all five star but a lot better than a lot of the others I looked at. So I called them and talked to Kevin. I was skeptical at first as I should be when looking for someone. After talking to Kevin and asking a lot of questions I took a leap of faith and went with them. I am truly glad I did. I don't know what the bad reviews were all about because my experience was nothing less than wonderful. I had done all my sketches and wrote my description ahead of time so I was ready. If you're going to patent something they will help you with that part. I hope you have time to read this because it was a good experience. I'm doing this so you can get an idea what to expect. 1.I talked to Kevin who answered all my questions. Then I had to make a decision to trust them or not. I chose to trust them. 2. Money. No lawyer is going to go to work for you without some kind of retainer. Each patent is different and is given a monetary value according to how involved it is. I was offered a payment plan In witch I refused. I did have the money to start the process. I thought the amount they quoted was acceptable. But let them explain to you your options. I would suggest you have as many questions written down as you can possibly think of. 3.Each time you get an email you will most likely be talking to a different person for each step of the process. Interview, Billing, John's review, art, and the filing of your application. I think there's 9 steps. 3. Have patience. It takes days or weeks to complete each step. They will get back to you. Keep track of phone numbers and emails and contact names. They gave me a potential timeline to go by. Some things took a little longer but they kept it close. I made some mistakes too. For my Patent Pending it took about 2+ months. So don't think it's going to happen over night. Give them time to do their job you won't be disappointed. Again , I'm just like you. I'm just a guy with an idea. Don't be afraid to go for it ! They will treat you right! Dennis C
