This was allegedly my 3rd DUI which is a felony and was looking at jail time and a 10 year license suspension. This case would result in neither. Covid had really messed things up and we had many motions and continuances over a lengthy period. This case took well over a year to resolve. He was patient, worked hard, and never gave up. It all paid off at the end. Mr. Elkind stuck it out and stuck it to them. A felony DUI consisting of jail time and license suspension was reduced to Reckless driving without conviction and fines. I had the best experience with Mr. Roger Elkind. Three years ago today, I was referred to him. I was having a hard time finding a attorney to represent me that would not be very expensive, and willing to work with me with payments. I have been very satisfied with my plead. He got my charge of leavening the scene of accident with bodily Injury 3rd degree felony dropped down to a leaving the scene of accident misdemeanor/ withheld of adjudication. He has lots of experience, really knows the laws, and lots of patients. He would take the time to answer any questions or concerns even on his family/vacation time. I have a case going on where a rental car was stolen and later learned that it was involved in a hit and run. It's been going on for a year now, and still no motions or court dates so it's probably going to get dropped due to lack of information. Roger was the first attorney to answer the phone instead of a useless receptionist. I needed him immediately and he was there to talk to me....not an hour or more later once the receptionist passed along my info to an attorney and maybe get a call that day. He literally answers the phone 90% of the time and calls me back very quickly or texts if he is busy. He never rushed me off the phone. He takes his time, gathers all information and helps you make informed decisions quickly. Roger is super friendly and actually have had conversations unrelated to the case. Extremely personable and makes you feel good if you are stressing out. He won't get off the phone until he feels like you are okay so you won't make any rash bad decisions. If this case does go to court, he will 100% be representing me. He hasn't asked for more money for our phone conversations past the retainer fee that I paid him. I was a bit hesitant to retain him (nothing because of him...I just have trouble making possibly big financial decisions) but its the best decision I could have made and the best money I ever spent on an attorney.
