I was with an incredibly expensive, incredibly “esteemed” attorney when I found myself feeling as though I was being taken advantage. A friend recommended Mrs.Alvarez to me. To paint my experience more clearly, you must know that I am a single mother of two who is receiving absolutely zero financial assistance from my ex husband or any government agency. I first had a Domestic Violence case with my now, ex-husband before officially filing for divorce. Before hiring Mrs.Alvarez, I hired a highly revered, highly expensive attorney from coral gables who did nothing but string along my case, subordinate my authority as a client, and manipulate me into thinking I should pay my (now) ex-husband alimony, his attorney's fees, and his credit card debt. He told me it was the smartest move to be able to settle the case. I felt like he was the best attorney for the opposing counsel's side. And yet, I remained his client because I thought he was the best money could buy. After feeling defeated and realizing that my then current attorney was leading me and my family down a terrible path. I finally began considering other attorneys. A friend who had also used Mrs.Alvarez legal services referred her to me. She was such a breath of fresh air. She immediately empathized with my situation, defended me like a lioness would her cub, and gave credence to a lot of the concerns I had previously brought up with my last attorney; only she didn't disregard them. I was in the divorce process for about 2 years. Of that time I wasted 18 months with a lawyer who was draining me in every aspect. It took just 5 months with the right lawyer to not only accomplish what I originally wanted, but who fought and won to give me what I deserved, what my children deserved. She's a smart, wonderful human being who also works with a phenomenal legal assistant named Leydi. Every time I called to ask for an update, or to ask complicated questions (and I did call often) they treated me like family. She and her team are efficient, professional, and fair. I've already referred a friend her way who also had nothing but positive things to say. If you're looking for an honest, aggressive, yet compassionate attorney, you needn't look any further.

She is a fair, knowledgeable, cool headed, brilliant young lady who will fight for righteousness which is rare these days, but what I needed most.
