Fantastic office! I can not say enough kind words for how wonderful Tanisha Reid is to work with. She not only put my mind at easy but got all of my student loan mess fixed. Where shall I start I was In Student Loan trouble and did not know what to do so I started looking for help and came across Van Horn Law Group. If I could possibly give this law firm zero stars I would. I was given a less than 5 minute initial consultation, showed where to pay, and then off Mr. Van Horn went. My case took over 9 months to settle with me ending up having to pay the court thousands of dollars. When I asked Mr. Van Horn personally if he thought this case was handled incorrectly his answer was and I quote "Could it have been handled differently, yes I think it could have". They run this office like an assembly line. Get them in, show the potential client the dog and pony show, get a deposit and then if your lucky you get good representation. I did not. I am not going to go into detail but suffice it to say I have recently sent a letter to the Florida Bar in the hopes they look into this firms business practices. Do your due diligence and a lot of research and don;t hire this firm Kathy J Update. Mr. Van Horn has hired a law firm to defend himself against my claims to the Florida Bar. Enough said

I cannot express my gratitude for Van Horn Law Firm enough! Years ago (yes years), I googled “Bankruptcy Fort Lauderdale” and their information was at the top. Immediately clicked, submitted my information, received an immediate call, and had an appointment set the next day to meet with Chad Van Horn (was surprised I was actually going to meet with him and not someone else). Arrived at my appointment, very easy location, and was welcomed warmly by his staff. Zero waiting. Chad shook my hand without judgement, we sat down and he patiently listened to my humiliating story of how I created this financial disaster for myself. First, he reassured me that I am not the only person in this world going through this. Second, he asked me a few questions regarding my finances. Third, he had a few resolutions which he explained in great detail to me, and was ready for my gazillion questions. There was absolute NO need to “price shop” bankruptcy attorneys after our meeting. You’re NOT going to find another supportive, attentive, and knowledgeable group like Van Horn Law Firm. With that being said, it took me a couple of years to actually face what was ahead of me. Not because of their doing, but because I let my anxiety and web searches about life in bankruptcy get in the way. Martha Cayo is an absolute gem. She kindly put up with me going back and forth and delaying delaying delaying, even though she reassured me life was going to be better, I still wouldn’t face it. Martha ALWAYS responded to my emails, calls, and questions. I was so embarrassed that I paid for their services in full, and still had not proceeded (by my choice) with what needed to be done. Not facing my bankruptcy earlier was the worst mistake I could have made. I literally would have had this behind me years ago. The time came last summer when I could no longer deny it. The harassing calls (and bill collectors DO threaten you, and are NASTY), the IRS was starting to hover over me, IT WAS THE MOST TERRIFYING AND WORST FEELING YOU COULD HAVE. I told Martha I was finally ready, scheduled my appointment to start the paperwork, and walked into their firm after so much time had passed in tears. Sonia, who is truly amazing and compassionate, held my hand, let me cry it out (and I cried for a bit), reassured me this was only going to get better, and even brought her coworker, Laverne, in to help reassure me a light was at the end of the tunnel. Both Sonia and Laverne are angels, and care about their clients. Their simple act of kindness impacted me greatly, when I left their office, a weight was lifted off my shoulder that I carried around for YEARS. As the proceedings began, I was always informed what was happening. The NASTY phone calls from creditors STOPPED. The threatening letters from creditors STOPPED. IT ALL STOPPED. I could never fully describe to you the feeling of being FREE. The 341 meeting was so simple (again, almost scared myself to death reading online about all of this). My attorney, Terri, was there, waiting for me, let me ask my one million questions and sat right next to me to guide through process. Then guess what….IT WAS ALL DONE. My only regret was I did not face this earlier. I can’t even imagine another firm dealing with my emotional mess and wavering. Also, Chad Van Horn and his firm give back to the community in many charitable ways. Their community service/volunteering/giving back to the community speaks of their character! Van Horn Law Firm is the best. Martha, Sonia, Laverne, Terri, Chad, and the entire team, I will never be able to thank you enough for giving me a fresh start and showing me the light at then end of the tunnel! Will ALWAYS recommend Van Horn Law Group.
