I consulted with Larry Bishins on an IRS tax audit. He is very knowledgeable in tax law and procedures. He was able to successfully challenge unreasonable IRS tax positions and was able to negotiate a very favorable settlement.

Mr. Bishins was presented with a very complex business transaction that had numerous tax implications. Mr. Bishins expertly explained all my alternatives and the nuances of each. With his guidance I was able to decide on the best approach for this transaction and Mr. Bishins completed all the necessary documents in a very efficient and professional manner. I had the recent good fortune to come across Attorney Larry Bishins, he was recommended to me by the Florida Bar Association. I had been struggling with a longstanding IRS issue where I owed a very large sum from multiple tax years associated with a closed business, the oldest of which dated back to 1998. My case was further complicated by a divorce, joint 401K, an innocent spouse ruling, joint property, and previous levies and garnishments. Where other attorneys had failed, Larry succeeded and after eighteen months of strong negotiating with the IRS, I have a settlement agreement that makes me whole yet does not cripple me for the rest of my life. I will end up paying less than 10 cents on the dollar. The process involved multiple hearings, meetings, and a painstaking, comprehensive review of a bevy of documents. Because of the age of the cases, many items were no longer available but Attorney Bishins understood how that factor would impact the case and how to mitigate that issue. Most impressive was his intimate knowledge of not just tax law but IRS policies, procedures, and systems. Larry also has a sound respectful relationship with several of the IRS leaders which allowed him to get considerations perhaps not available to other attorneys.
