Three years ago, my business partner and I was looking for an attorney who would handle contract negotiations of a business purchase and expansion. We were referred to Attorney Michael Berger by a friend of a friend, so from the onset, we didn’t really know what to expect from our new attorney. What we were pleasantly surprised to quickly discover was that he is a knowledgeable, reliable, reputable and thorough attorney who is dedicated to creating successful resolutions. One of the greatest comforts that we had with Michael, was that no matter how many times we called or emailed him during the day (or sometimes nights and weekends) his prompt response and patience coupled with complicated legal explanations in layman terms always made us feel as if we were his primary client regardless of the size of our business. It’s not often that business relationships surpass business, but Michael’s caring and devotion to our business makes him the type of attorney that proved that he is in business to make a difference, not to just go through the motions of just getting the job done. His background as a small business owner only enhances his ability to further understand the complexities of his client’s experiences. You can easily pay someone to “get the job done”, but you can’t pay someone to want to work hard for you because they truly care about you getting the results that clearly are in your best interest. There are a lot of attorneys out there, but Michael Berger of Carpenter & Berger is an attorney in a special category of his own.
