From the first day i spoke with Richard he was very professional and pleasant. He took on my case with no hesitation and i was very satisfied with his representation. He made me feel like family. I hired Richard Ansara to handle my VOP case and ultimately achieved our goal of negotiating a plea to terminate my probation in exchange for a short sentence with no more probation upon my release. Richard was very straightforward and honest about everything. Will definitely be using him in the future if i need any legal assistance.

Absolute bum... Of an experience (my opinion, based on my experience). I called on behalf of a family member who was recently arrested. Secretary transferred me to his cell phone... Normal enough so far. He looks up the case and says "who's going to be paying for this?" ...to which I respond "myself" after his second attempt to pull up the case (while driving and doing 2 other things, he's sure to let me know) Mr. Ansara proceeds to patronizingly "explain" to me that whenever he has "baby's mamas and things like that calling" he wants to be sure they "want to pay" (I'm a NUCLEAR family member BTW). His baffling choices of words continue when he again asks me "do you really want to pay for your [family member's] legal services." I am stunned at this point... I simply reply "Do you know private defense attorneys who work for free?" Mr. Ansara, who presents as a bro over the phone which conjures images of him, in my mind, wearing flip-flops on his way to complete his Gym-Tanning-Laundry regimen (he uses "bro" and "dude" frequently, which I found oddly informal and jarring when used in a professional capacity and are what I mean by "clearly a bro"), pauses and says "I like your answer by the way..." Before ripping into some screed about how he "doesn't do numbers on the phone" and again reminds me that he's driving. More perplexing than his non-standard usage of "by the way" or his generally unprofessional and bro-y demeanor was that I had not asked him to provide me these numbers, in fact I specifically asked him to look the case over and get back to me at some point with a general idea of what services he could provide and what a retainer would look like... Finally after assuring me that his services will cost "thousands... Not hundreds" I'd had enough but still I calmly said... "Ok that's fine, but for some reason you don't seem sufficiently motivated to consider this case--" He cut me off and said "you just don't understand... This probably isn't a good fit--" Alas! He'd finally said something that made sense... At least in the context of this wacky, bizzaro exchange... So I hung up. My advice to my past-self would be leave this guy alone if you're looking for anyone with a modicum of professionalism or any desire to appear slightly interested in your case or his profession and my advice for him would be to be to uhh... Not go out and have an "80's party " in the middle of the day... If you know what I mean (I in no way mean anything untoward by this and I don't know what's best for you, I use "advice" as a figure of speech).. Perhaps our African names telegraphed to him that it was time to pull out his best material about "baby's mama's" and assume an inability to pay more than "hundreds" for any legal defense but I suppose I'll never know and can not necessarily assume that this is the reason. I feel in my heart that I dodged a bullet. When your prospective lawyer stars **humming** while discussing the details of your case... I decided to reconsider things... And if he's this guy... I make no recommendations on what you should do, however I decided to just cut and run as I felt his demeanor, (which I personally found condescending and arrogant) and verbage (which I found inappropriate) were unbecoming of my expectations of ideal, effective legal counsel and I felt that these things portend outcomes I would rather avoid. My opinions are not the absolute truth and perhaps others would perceive his actions differently. He did absolutely say the things I spoke of and you can all reach your own conclusions. *** This review is a description of my experiences and yours may vary. Great job. Reduce the cost of my medical treatment by $3000 and got the most for my case.

Richard Ansara is the absolute best attorney I have ever worked with! I even call him "Number 1!!" He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly, got my case dismissed! I LOVE Richard Ansara! I HIGHLY recommend him.
