On June 10th 2017 I was headed home when traffic quickly halted to a stop when I was struck from behind hard enough to have my headrest airbags to deploy. Paramedics happen to be at the place of business that we were passing on the highway when they heard and saw the accident with concerns that I may have been hurt. I was checked out and released with recommendations to go see a doctor if my aches and pain persisted from my injuries. I was sick with the Flu when this accident took place and thought that my aches and pains could be a part of the aches associated with the Flu. In the Florida you have 14 days to file claim of injuries from an auto accident. As the Flu cleared up I started feeling more pain as the 14 days counted down I waited to the last moment when I contacted Rita Jackman's Law office. Rita was great with getting back to me immediately. Rita explained my rights and that I needed to see the doctor immediately for the pain that I had been suffering with do to the accident before my rights expired at 14 days. Rita helped me get in to see a doctor immediately so I could get checked out and get some relief from the persistence of the injuries. I waited to the last moment hoping I would recover and not have to contact an Attorney to make a claim, because if you have ever hired an Attorney for an automobile accident it's no fun and exhausting. The best part of hiring Rita Jackman was, she was very kind, caring, not pushy showing great compassion making sure my well being was her first priority inevitably making my claim experience smooth not overwhelming or exhausting just really a pleasure to work with. It took a little over two years to settle this claim with the other insurance company as most insurance companies they wanted to give me next nothing for this accident looking for every excuse to reduce their pay out. Rita wouldn't hear nothing of it so she fought and negotiated until a fair settlement was agreed upon which was only 10% short of what we were seeking. Rita shared her professional recommendation when we got to the last offer from the other insurance company with no pressure telling me that this was a fair offer without taking the case to court, but she would continue to seek our first offer if I wanted to continue perusing this case. I decided to accept the other insurance company's offer and to settle my claim. Rita never gave up or asked me in the two years of fighting my case to settle for less then I deserved. Noelle is Rita's Paralegal who was very helpful with my entire process always keep in communication with via emails. My overall experience was great as I always felt I was good hands with Rita.
