Atty’s Foley and Wilson, I want to thank you both for your assistance regarding my family’s recent legal matter. When my son moved from Connecticut to Florida and was arrested for DUI, DUI with damage, and leaving the scene of an accident, he and I were unsure about anything. The status of his driver’s license, his new job, where he was going to live, all unknowns. But after contacting your office and sitting down for the free consultation, I knew that we had the best lawyers we could find. Robert, first you shared you experience with working with the FBI in Bridgeport, CT, a city I once worked in. And then Desiree, you shared your experience living in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is literally a 1-hour drive from where my family lives in Colorado. Both of your shared stories allowed my son and I to connect with you beyond just the normal attorney-client relationship. During our initial meeting, you explained the charges, the expected penalties and fines, and the initial approach your firm would be taking. Your negotiations with the State’s prosecutor were crucial in getting the DUI with damages charge dropped, the agreement to suspend the 1 year probation after 6 months if all conditions were met, and allowing remote reporting for probation since Collier County is about 2 hours and 100 miles from where my son works/lives in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County. He now may be eligible to get his driving privileges restored at the same time the DMV 1 year suspension ends, which is huge! Your firm managed the document requests from the arresting authorities with expertise, and updated my son and I as to the contents of the reports and if they would benefit our case. You attended court for continuation requests as we awaited the reports from the police and made sure my son was never in danger of being charged with failure to appear. When the court date arrived for the plea acceptance, Desiree provided my son with detailed instructions of how the proceeding would go, what questions the judge and prosecutor would ask, and the answers to be given to be consistent with the settlement of this case as discussed. Within an hour, the case was over, but Desiree wasn’t done yet. She then explained to my son what to expect from the adult probation division on the first floor of the Collier County Courthouse after his plea was accepted. This was extremely helpful as my son had never been on probation before. I can’t thank you both enough for everything you have done for my son and me. The legal advice we received was exemplary, and you both delivered on everything you promised to do and kept focused on the end goal. I firmly believe that the $4,000 flat fee I paid for your legal services was the best money I’ve spent in a long time. Unfortunately my minor child made some bad decisions while visiting friends in Florida. Dealing with serious charges from out of state was made far less stressful with Foley & Wilson law firm. I would highly recommend their services.
