The attorney just left and the front desk is a bit rude. Nobody knows good customer service anymore

The attorney assigned my case was neither aggressive nor knowledgeable. Communications with my attorney was very poor. The attorney regularly cancelled our meetings. When we did meet to review my case nothing was accomplished. After one year of no progress in my case. I left Virga Law Firm to go to an attorney that listened to my wishes and accomplished more in one month than the Virga attorney accomplished in one year. Needless to say I was out my retainer fee.

Worked with Michael Goodson and his team who made things easy and efficient. Would definitely recommend!

It's been three years and I can finally write this review without shaking from frustration and anger at how I was taken advantage of by the FWB branch of the Virga Law Firm. The situation at the time was filled with much more emotion and mental confusion, which any divorcee may understand, and the anxiety surrounding the money I wasted with this law firm was compounded by my having to uproot from Florida and start completely from scratch on the other side of the country. This is why it has taken me so long to write this. I was initially satisfied with the assistance they provided for free consultation on a simplified divorce. They spoke with me at the office and I appreciated the assistance understanding what was for me a brand new and terrifying concept. After calling from out of state to seek clarification regarding pursing a divorce long-distance, I felt pressured into going with Virga, "are you going to do this or not?", and acquiesced largely because I felt my situation warranted a professional to finally to get through to my then-spouse that after years of attempting to rectify our issues, our marriage was not going to succeed. On a Friday I agreed to the non-refundable retainer and I noticed the $2000 retainer withdrawn from my bank account before I had completed any release paperwork. The following Monday, because of personal developments I will leave off for privacy's sake, I requested to cancel representation and was told I would be considered as having retained these legal services for the future, and no refund would be issued. Even with an itemized receipt annotating $1500 retainer/$500 court fees, no service except adding me to their CRM distro, which I then multiple times had to request being removed from, was ever performed for me. In summary, I lost a substantial amount of money to the Virga Law Firm for services never rendered and my ex and I ended up filing for ourselves for under $500. I am currently unmarried with no intent to be so, so no further divorces on the horizon, and I no longer reside in Florida, so their claim that I am retained with them has always rung hollow. Shame on the Virga Law Firm for taking advantage of people when they are at their most vulnerable, for not having compassion and commonsense to deliver back even the smallest of refunds for work which was never performed, and never will be, to ease a divorcee's transition to a new life.
