This attorney has real issues communicating. After initial contact he did not return a single phone call and was very slow responding to emails. I had to correct spelling errors in his paperwork. He seems to get annoyed quickly regarding answering my questions. After repeated attempts to get him to clarify points in my patent application so I the lay person could understand and make a good decision I gave up, drop him as my lawyer and hired attorney to finish the job. Even though I had already paid him to see the patent all the way to conclusion I became so frustrated with what I term "poor customer relations" I lost all confidence in this person. I would not recommend this attorney.

Hired Attorney Loffler for patent based on recommendations and the fact that he was inexpensive relative to others in bigger cities. His quality was second to none and he got me outstanding results.

The services of Mr. Loffler were retained through a business associate who recommend him as a good patent attorney.
Over the course of this patent application, I did not find that to be true.
After furnishing a complete description of the invention, Mr. Loffler turned the case over to a member of his staff. Without interacting with me whatsoever, the staff member introduced numerous errors into the application. I had to virtually rewrite the entire thing again to correct the mistakes. About three years later the USPTO returned an office action on the application.
I had two question for Mr. Loffler regarding how we should proceed. After several weeks, I received no response from him, other than a request for additional funds to respond to the office action. This was after he'd already been paid more than $5000 for me to write and then correct the application in the first place.
The question I asked were not complicated or time consuming, but he would not even discuss answering them. When I complained about his delays and poor communication, he told me that he was withdrawing as the attorney of record.
I would NEVER do business with Mr. Loffler again, nor would I recommend his services as a patent attorney under any circumstances.
