I'm really glad I have gotten help from Massey and Duffy. I have found Mr. Massey very attentive and detail oriented. He always asked me questions that were relevant to my particular case and approached my situation very thoroughly. I have used them on multiple occasions actually. Mr. Massey was very professional and knowledgable about the laws. His counsel turned out to be much better than another lawyer who we consulted. I do believe they helped us get the best possible settlement in our personal injury claim. I highly recommended their services.

I am a University of Florida pre-law student and I have been interning at Massey & Duffy since January 2014 and Mr.Massey has been welcoming and supportive ever since I started here. I would not have gained the experience I have so far without Mr.Massey. He is honest with his clients and tells them what they need to know legally and how to proceed. Although his advice does not always please everyone, I have seen more happy customers than unhappy ones in my time here. He helps everyone to the best of his abilities. The confidence Mr.Massey has in the work he does, and even the work that I do, has encouraged my dream of attending law school. It is incredible to see all of the people he has helped, including myself, and I hope that anyone reading this is encouraged to consult with him for any legal problems you are having because he is the best choice of representation.

I consulted with Massey and Duffy in 2009 when I was having issues with a former employer. I found Michael Massey to be extremely accommodating and helpful. Knowing that Michael was available to provide support and assistance as needed was very comforting, and I was able to actively use his advice in negotiations with my employer. I'm happy to recommend Massey and Duffy to those requiring assistance with employment law, negotiations, and legal assistance.

Thanks for representing me against Honda Care! They tried to bully me into thinking I couldn't read an extended warranty contract and tried to give me the roundabout on why they weren't liable. After Michael took over my case, Honda Care quickly resolved my claim and promptly decided to honor their contract.

I tried calling to ask a simple question. I was told to come in and sit down and I said that I had the information right here. The next thing I know he hung up on me. I called back hoping my phone disconnected and the receptionist then hung up on me. Keep in mind I was very polite, had a simple question and did nothing to deserve this type of completely unprofessional attitude. I called back a third time and was finally told by the receptionist that Mike Massey (YES Mr. Massey who originally hung up on me) that he could not help me. This is so sad to me, that he is acting exactly like the typical money hungry lawyer. Why couldn't he say that he wouldn't be able to help me unless I came in? Why did he ask me first how much money was involved, then after he realized it was allot, he wanted me to come in. So freaking typical. Trust me when I say this, he treated me like scum and he didn't even know me. He completely hung up on me and anyone who is hung up on (I'm serious guys, there wasn't any reason, I didn't do anything) knows how bad that feels, and it feels worse when there was no reason at all for it other then he felt like it. That was NOT OK Mr. Massey! NOT OK AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW-I read one of the ladies reviews below about the hidden consultation fee! Mr. Massey told me the same thing. Please come in and I asked is it free??? He said Yes, it is free...not even 5 seconds later he hung up on me.

If I could give Massey a negative star, I would. He didn't smile, he didn't say hello and he looked at my right shoulder when we talked. I could ignore that he looked hung over and like he'd been at a rave all night, and I could ignore the very bad manners, but what was the point of his consult, when his response was had nothing to do with why I was consulting? I wanted to know if my employers responses to me are considered retaliation and if I get walked out of my work for calling the regulatory board will Massey represent me. He never even inquired as to what they were doing, nor did we broach the idea of me hiring him in the future. His only response was "I don't know if they're violating the regulations." No kidding. I don't need him to know that because I know that they are, as does the regulatory board. I needed him to interpret their current responses and to represent me in a case of retaliation against a relator. I'm not even sure if he understood why I was there. Massey is arrogant and clearly not interested in keeping connections in this community. I would highly recommend avoiding this guy.

One star is too many. I met with Mr. Massey for a consultation and he didn't even exhibit common courtesy by standing up to greet me, just sat there like he was holding court. My issue was with a car dealership that had charged me $600. for repairs and when I returned the car two weeks later, they fixed it that time by inserting paper in the part which obviously would not last. His only question, which he asked several times, was if it was working. The part was working but it had not been repaired by using a new or even a used part, simply jimmied it with paper. After asking the same question a couple of times it became apparent that I was simply wasting his time so I left and told him to enjoy my $25. I am now calling the Florida Bar to obtain a referral to an attorney that hopefully understands courtesy and will support the consumer.

Great Advice: Mr. Massey had hired my firm several years ago for Environmental Services during the purchase and renovation of his business office and we always try to refer business back to those who work with us. We had a client who was extremely past due for services rendered and Mr. Massey discussed the concept of Unjust Enrichment with me. It turned out to be exactly what had occured and gave us the legal backing to obtain our payment.

Massey and Duffy handled my wrongful termination case. Mr. Massey was straight forward and honest with me through the whole process. We communicated primarily through email however he was always available by phone if I ever had a question. My case was settled in about a year and a half which I understand is pretty quick for cases of that nature. I would recommend Massey and Duffy to anyone looking for an attorney to handle wrongful termination matters.
