After the pandemic, like so many in the restaurant industry, my husband and I both lost our jobs. With a child on the way, we could no longer keep up with credit card payments, and we decided to start the bankruptcy process. Hearing on such a prestigious radio station as Enrique Santos’s show that Attorney Del Pino was one of the best for helping with this process, we made the worst decision of our lives. The day we picked up the phone, put our trust, and our family’s security in their hands, it began this nightmare of dealing with creditors and, worse yet, with the frauds that make up this group of attorneys. The experience with Del Pino law firm was absolutely disastrous. Despite advertising everywhere as so-called experts, their lack of professionalism and ethics is alarming. They never answer the phone themselves; the assistants handle everything whenever they can. They requested a valuation of our vehicle at a specific location they recommended, but then altered the value, inflating it above the actual amount. This prevented us from qualifying for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and as a result, creditors ended up emptying the only account we had left. Even my mother-in-law’s savings were affected because she shared a joint account with us! Throughout the process, every time we asked for help or guidance, we were met with indifference and a lack of clarity. They would contact us at the very last minute, telling us that a deadline for a document was the next day, causing tremendous stress and pressure. They even went so far as to call us liars about our availability to make payments. In the end, we ended up paying more money to them than we would have if we had done a consolidation or a payment arrangement directly with the creditors. All they seemed to care about was asking for more and more money without providing any effective solutions. This was the worst experience we could imagine. I would not recommend this firm under any circumstances.
