We were at such at odd that we would loose our home for something so simple as our HOA fees and had lost almost all hope. But we feel like we went from night to day after meeting with Robert and hiring his office. He helped us get rid of our credit cards and all of the debt. I feel so relieved and now that's all over and the peace of mind I have is invaluable. I would come back in a heart beat and recommend for anyone looking to file for bankruptcy. I came to this office after years of putting off filing for Bankruptcy but with the start of the pandemic and my loss of work I couldn't keep avoiding it. I was very nervous because I didn't know what to expect but Robert and his office were very patient with me and explained the whole process in detail. I felt very comfortable from the moment I visited the office for the first time. The girls at the office helped me put all the paperwork together and there was also someone to talk to when i had any question. Since the courts were closed my court date was done over the phone but Robert made sure to call me multiple times to make sure i was prepared. Even though i was very nervous Robert was with me on the call and everything went through as he had explained to me. I couldnt believe how smooth everything was. My experience with this office has been absolutely amazing. I normally don't write reviews but wanted to share my story. I came to Robert's office because, even though I am current with my first mortgage, I had an issue with my second mortgage. Several years ago I stopped making payments to the second mortgage but the mortgage company never contacted me or threatened me with foreclosure. I figured it was because my house was underwater and had no equity. But now after almost 7 years, the mortgage company filed for foreclosure and i was forced to deal with this issue. I had no idea what to do or who to turn to until a friend of mine gave me Robert's number and I called to see what options I had. Truth be told, I had no other option but to stop paying this mortgage after my income was cut in half in 2013. Since then, I managed to stay current with my first mortgage and never though a second mortgage could actually foreclosure and take my house. Until, to my surprise ,I was given the lawsuit and was scared that after finally getting on my feet, I could loose my house. I called to make an appointment to speak to Robert and his office worked around my busy schedule to make it work. I met the attorney the following day and all I can say is that I left with a huge weight off my back. My uncertainty, fears and anxiety were met with compassion. I sat with Robert, he introduced himself and said let me see what we can do. He went through a series of questions and he explained why he was asking them. After he discussed my options, I did not hesitate to get him to represent me in my foreclosure case. From the first day I felt very confident that he and his office knew exactly what needed to be done and I trusted his advice. Not only did they represent me in the legal case but also began speaking to my mortgage company for ways to workout an agreement to help me save my house. He stressed the importance of communicating with my mortgage company for options to stay in the property. Shortly after I left the office, I began working with the office team to get all the documents and information. Not once did I call the office and reach a voicemail. Someone always answers the phone. Everyone in the office is a true professional and they know what they are doing. It's nice to feel that you are speaking with a human being who understands the kind of stress and anxiety this whole process brings but who still knows how to give me a sense of security and peace knowing that they are working for my best interest. After a couple of weeks of going back and forth with my mortgage company, Robert told me that I have been approved for a loan modification and the payment is something I can actually afford. I am so thankful for this result and im sure it made all the difference that Robert's office was representing me through this. They know what they're doing and the professionalism and attention they have brought to my cause and I'm sure everyone else they represent is second to none. Im so happy and will definitely be coming back or recommend to anyone that needs help with their home.

As a cab driver for 20 years I never thought anything would disrupt my income until uber and Lyft came in the picture. Us drivers get the change and after years of tryng to keep up with my debt I just couldn't. A friend of mine recommended me to this office to see my options. I met with Robert the same day I called his his office. He was friendly and very knowledgable. I’ve been searching for someone to help me for a long time. I have gone through many hardships and was at risk of losing my home. I am sure I am not the only person going through a hard time but wanted to share this. When I scheduled my appointment with Mr. Stiberman last week I didn’t know what to expect. My house was in foreclosure and the end of the road was near. I am current with my first mortgage but have an issue with a line of equity that resulted in a foreclosure lawsuit. I would have rented space in my home for additional income but I live in a 1 bedroom home. My uncertainty, fears and anxiety were met with compassion. I sat with Robert, he introduced himself and said let me see what we can do. He went through a series of questions and he explained why he was asking them. Robert said he dad to check something in the public records and would return shortly. He returned after a few minutes and without me having to ask or making me wait, he said “we have a game plan” and recommended that I file a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. He explained the process in detail and worked with me on payments so I could get this done. He went over the different types of Bankruptcies and why a Chapter 7 would not help me save my home. He didn’t use fancy words or anything like that. He spoke to me like a human being and I felt very comfortable with everything. I don’t remember the last time somebody gave me a helping hand and treated me with dignity. I was so relieved that I started crying. Shortly after I left the office, I began working with the office team to get all the documents and information. Not once did I call the office and reach a voicemail. Someone always answers the phone. After reviewing my Bankruptcy paperwork in detail, Robert sat down with me and went over the process again and asked if I had any questions. He told me that before I left the office that day, my Bankruptcy case would be filed, my lender would be notified to stop all court action against me, and that I would receive my Bankruptcy case number. Everything happened exactly as he said. This office is truly a blessing. He also explained that within a day we would know when I had my Court date and he explained that although we were going to court we wouldn’t be going in front of a judge or jury but in front of a trustee who was going to ask me some questions. He explained the process and I felt very comfortable. It’s clear that they know what they are doing, and they care.

My wife had a reverse mortgage on our home and after she passed away three years ago I thought I would loose our home too. I went through probate and got the house to be in my name but since my name wasn’t on the mortgage I almost altogether gave up after several failed attempts in talking with the mortgage company who wouldn’t cooperate or even speak to me. Once the mortgage found out my wife had passed away they began sending me foreclosure letters and eventually after some weeks I was served with the foreclosure papers. I was ready to pack my things and leave our family home until I decided to look at a letter I had received from Mr. Stiberman which stated that I may have options while I was in foreclosure. Something inside of me told me to give it a try and speak to him to see what they could do to help me. I called and his office was friendly and immediately gave me an appointment for the same day. I have been living all this time in my house and now since the market is doing much better I put my house in the market and I have a closing coming up in the next few weeks where I am actually going to make some money from the sale. If you would’ve told me I would be where I am today three years ago I would’ve have believed it. The bank had denied me several times for a modification and my house was going to be foreclosed by the bank. I came a few days prior to the sale date hoping to keep my home. I met with Robert who gave me the hope i was looking for and told me Bankruptcy would stop by foreclosure and give me a chance to try and get a loan modification. I felt so comfortable in the way he fully explained the process and what he and his office could do to help me save my home that I didn’t hesitate to get started with him. I brought everything within a couple of days and his office staff went through all the documents and within days i was in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. I live in West Kendall and even though it was a long trip to his office I didn’t mind it because I knew i was finally with an office that was working for me and my goals. After we got all the forms and documents done, Robert filed the paperwork he had prepared, and I was told to wait until for my Bankruptcy case number while sitting at his office. I could tell from the process so far that Robert and his staff knew exactly what they were doing. And I was right to think that because when i went to Court (as he told me i had to) everything that i experienced was exactly as he had explained to me. I felt very prepared and represented in what used to be a traumatizing Court experience for me in the past. Robert was calm and very thorough and walked me through all the other steps i needed to take for my bankruptcy and modification. After we were done in Court, he congratulated me and thanks to his help everything felt like a breeze. I am in the middle of the modification process and im just happy overall of my experience with this firm. I came to Robert’s office less than 3 months ago ready to give it one last try at saving my house. The bank had denied me several times for a modification, and I was at the brink of having my home of 10 years foreclosed. Robert advised me that as a result of my new job I would be able to reapply for a loan modification since in the past the bank had denied me because I didn’t have enough income. I felt so comfortable in the way he fully explained the process and what he and his office could do to help me save my home that I didn’t hesitate to get started with him. In a matter of hours from the time I hired Robert’s office, Ana or one of the other assistants called me and sent me a list of documents that the attorney needed to send the request to the bank and I started working on the documents they needed. I brought everything within a couple of days and his office staff went through all the documents and they were so meticulous that we get a complete package that I had to go back a day later to bring documents I had forgotten. I didn’t mind the trip because they made me understand the importance of having everything we needed before sending it to my bank. One more day to get a complete packet is better than weeks of going back and forth with the bank for missing documents. After we got all the forms and documents done, Robert sent out the paperwork they had prepared, and I was told to wait until his office contacted me with any updated. I could tell from the process so far that Robert and his staff knew exactly what they were doing. And I was right to think that because not two weeks had passed before I got a call from his office giving me the best news a man can hear prior to Christmas, my bank had FINALLY APPROVED me for a modification and I can finally sleep knowing I was given a shot to keep my house. I rarely write reviews but I am so happy with the service Mr.Stiberman has given me and the blessing that it is to know that what I once considered a lost cause is now a reality for me and my family. These guys know what they’re doing and the professionalism and attention they have brought to my cause and I’m sure everyone else they represent is second to none.
