Be wary of what they tell you and ask for EVERYTHING in writing. My initial concerns came about when century wouldn't call back in a timely manner and I started replying to their emails asking for everything in writing. They did not want to and always replied asking that I call them. The settlement dates were constantly being pushed back and things that were told to me by their initial sales rep were now being revealed as untrue. Century has no control over what a creditor marks on your account. They will not make any effort to have the accounts marked as closed as opposed to settled. Their phone representatives all have a condescending overtone when they speak to you. Never trust a law firm that won't give you a paper trail and give you things in writing. IT already shows they intend to twist the truth when speaking to you. Definitely don't believe their sales representatives when they tell you that everything will be refunded that you paid. There are significant fees that you will never get back and their sales reps have no control over century deciding to pay them back to you. They will get paid whether you proceed with them as your settlement company or decide to cancel.
