In August of 2016 I was served in a divorce proceeding. My first and last call was to Garrett Barket. From that first call until the filing of the final disposition in my divorce Garrett was extremely professional and very thorough in every aspect of the proceedings. I would recommend Garrett with a high degree of confidence to represent you and your interests in accordance with the law and in an effort to negotiate the best possible outcome.

In 2009, I went through a divorce after being married for 14 years to my high school sweetheart. I was devastated to find out that my husband was having an affair and that his mistress was moving from Boston to Jacksonville in less than 2 weeks. A friend of mine advised that I call her attorney, Garrett Barket, and I am so glad that I did! From the moment I walked into the office, Garrett and his paralegal, Jan, did whatever they could to put me at ease. I think of them as the "dynamic duo." Jan was always available for questions and Garrett was always prompt to reply when I needed to be in touch with him. He knew the law and was honest about what could happen and did not give me any false expectations. I met with several other "top" attorneys in town who were either not professional or treated me as if I was just a number. One of them even hinted that he would like to go on a date! When I met Garrett, I was impressed with his knowledge of the law and how respectful he was. He made me feel confident that he would defend my rights to the best of his abilities. My case turned out just like he had predicted and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was able to get alimony until my kids are 18 yrs of age and the child support I needed to provide them the same kind of lifestyle we were accustomed to. A divorce is devastating to a family, but when you have a reputable attorney on your side, it makes the process a little less daunting. Garrett is definitely a top notch attorney and one of the most honest guys I know. I would recommend him to anyone I know that is looking for a wonderful attorney!
